i have an old motorola xoom, i downgraded back to honeycomb a while ago, i dont feel like upgrading it back to jellybean since its full of old games and genuinely a really comfy setup i have going.
I'd like to try and get youtube working on it even if its some kind of website, although an app would be preferable.
i know its kind of a weird ask, since this version of android is rather obscure and from what i can tell: nobody liked it. but i would like to put more use to this tablet than using it for escargot, imap email, or a desk clock has been my favorite so far.
thanks!

I made a mistake in updating to the latest Google Maps 7.0.2 last night and it is just horrendous. Slow performance, missing features, and overall disappointing. I've been looking around for a previous apk of the Google Maps 6.14.X editions and came upon Android Drawer Repository website. Has anyone used their website to download apks to roll back to a previous app version? Note that although I did find someone posting their modded version on here I'd rather have the vanilla apk if possible. Comments? Suggestions?
The APK's are working. Just downloaded v. 6.14.3. Works great without any issues.
New Fold 2 user here.
I usually buy phones that I root, but I have gone back to a locked ATT Fold 2 this time.
First disappointment with ATT is that they seemed to put a special Voicemail App that is just for the Fold 2. Unlike the old ATT Voicemail app, this one does not have the capability to transcribe messages. It also does not seem to have a widget either for the home screen. The other odd thing is this Fold 2 special version does not appear to be on the Play Store so I doubt updates will ever be forthcoming unless they update it with the ROM.
I have done many searches and tried some things. I tried to install the old ATT Voicemail but it would not install. Some seemed to say they were successful at using the Samsung Voicemail App, but again, that would not install so I am not sure how they got it to work.
Anyone suggest a better voicemail app that works with T?
Did you try to look at APK mirror app?

Perfect! Thank you. Got it from there and it seems to work on the Fold 2.
As many of you may possibly know, Google dropped 32bit support for Google Camera all the way back in version 4.2. That version would crash on my SM-T350 running Pie, and while 4.1 would work, it would crash when opening the back camera unless you changed the resolution to 480p (even though my back camera supports 720p). In addition, 4.1 is also such an old version that it doesn't have any of the features that would make it a viable option over the OpenGapps Camera (which I'm also personally not a fan of) or Open Camera, neither of which I think have particularly good features or UI.
However, Google has recently release a lite version of Gcam much like their other apps called "Google Camera Go". Lucky for us, some of the APKs uploaded to APKMirror (it's only available on Playstore in certain regions, much like other lite apps) have armeabi-v7a support, such as this one which is currently the latest:

I am not sure if it is necessary, as I have not tested it without it, but I also edited my build.prop to include "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1", so try adding that if it doesn't work for some reason.
This finally brings portrait mode and translate support to my tablet, and I think it's a big improvement over OpenGapps Camera and Open Camera.
Hi!
I have a MediaPad Pro M5
I have spent many hours on XDA following guides to install Google Service on Huawei.
Somehow neither of the method worked for me.
But I managed to install Google services by accident.
I almost gave up and decided to install at least a decent browser (Brave).
I found the browser on APKPure.
It is a kind of a third party package manager to my understanding.
To install Brave I needed to install the package manager first.
APKPure APK Downloader for Android Wear, Phones, Tablets, TV
Download and update the latest Androidâ„¢ Apps apk in APKPure, the best free Android APK Downloader online right at apkpure.com. Come and join APKPure's clan.

Brave got installed, no problem.
But to my surprise I could also find Youtube app on APKPure.
When I installed Youtube, APKPure package manager suggested to install Google Play Store as well !!!
I followed the suggestion and installed Google Play.
With Google Play I could install all the other apps, I needed.
* To moderators:
I have registered just to post this solution, because it might be a great relieve for people who are struggling like I did.
I guess I need to earn some points to post in the Huawei thread.
I have no time to earn these points, so if I'm breaking the forum rules, feel free to delete this post.
If you can move the post to the relevant thread, it would be even better.
Great finding!
In fact, it's known that on some well-known apk website such as apkmirror or apkpure, you can download apks for many free apps, including YouTube and Google Play Store.
But please note that either apkmirror or apkpure is a third-party apk distribution website.
On the other hand, if your Huawei phone, MediaPad Pro M5, does not have a built-in Google service framework, the Play Store will not work properly after you just download and install the Play Store. Does your Play Store work well?
Hi guys, I live in Dubai and just received my Mi12s Ultra.
Such an amazing phone! I bought it from expansys and got the CN version with Google.
Previous phone was Samsung Note 20 Ultra which I decided to keep in case I have to switch back to it due to certain issues listed below (assume there are probably a lot more issues I haven't found out yet)
I noticed I can't seem to send videos on WhatsApp normally, videos have a terrible framerate. From a quick search it seems its a common issue unfortunately. Just wondering if there is any fix? If it helps anyone I noticed while testing that videos shot in 4k seem to improve the framerate when sending videos over WhatsApp but it's not a viable solution.
Also I cannot seem to install Google chrome so I'm forced to use Edge. Is there a way to install chrome?
Love the phone and the camera but these issues make me wonder if its worth keeping long term....
Would love to know your thoughts, thanks!
Chrome installs ok. If you can't get it through play store, try APK mirror or other non Google app.
