Hello my name is cameron,
recently i bought a Samsung galaxy S mobile phone and it has recently started freezing during calls, the call will stay active but my phone will have to be hard restarted (removing the battery), the screen will just go black, also the battery runs down slowly even when its plugged in and switched on, it eats away the battery a percent every 30 seconds when its unplugged which gives it a a run time of less then an hour, i cant cope with it anymore, its getting slower every day, the battery life has gotten ridiculous, any ideas?
thankyou for reading this and i hope you will get back to me soon.
I would start with a factory reset.
tried it, hasn't made a difference, i know now its a hardware issue just checking with you guys in case this has happened before, thankyou anyway.
Ok, so my Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus has stopped completely operating. When you turn it on, it shows the Samsung Trend Plus logo, but before the boot animation, it gets stuck to a black screen (The screen color is black, the screen does not close). Whenever I press any of the phone's buttons, It will vibrates. It does that every 4-5 times and then theres a long vibration. The phone is rooted, but it runs for about 5 months with root. Im using an alcatel less powerfull charger to charge, due to the reason the official samsung one was broken. Yesterday, I mengled around with GravityBox (But I have GravityBox and Xposed framework since root) on the Navbar settings, and after the phone rebooted, It constantly said [SystemUI has stopped]. This had happened to me like a month ago again, but then I just reflashed the Official Rom via Odin. This time, I chose to just delete SystemUi's apk from /system/apps and then copy it back to the phone from my pc. The phone worked perfectly for a day after that, but when I went to take it out of my pocket at the evening, it was closed, even though 1 hour ago it had like 37% battery. So, I charged, and when It finished, I went to open and the Black Screen problem came out. I can't neither boot in recovery nor Download Mode

So, it seems your battery is dead, this is nothing to do with software (unless the stock rom killed it), so, buy a new one, or see if it is covered by the warranty

Yes, but when I put it in the charger, it shows the charging animation....... And then if the battery is dead, how can it power the vibrations and the screen?

I just tried a different battery, because I have a second Trend Plus, which works perfectly. It still has the same problem.

Sorry for answering a few months later, but I have to say that I had found a solution, which was the fact my Home Button wouldn't be presed in order to get in DOwnload Mode.
I appreaciate all your help.
Note: This is different than other "Stuck at boot screen" posts. It has a different case and I couldn't find any solution relevant to this problem.
I dropped my note 2 and battery got out of it after hitting the ground. I put the battery back in and restarted the phone, it worked fine for sometime. Then it crashed and restarted with a strange behavior. It loaded first screen showing Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 and kept on restarting without even responding to power+home+volume up keys combination. It turns on, stays on the Samsung note II screen for a couple of seconds and restarts. Then I took out the battery and plugged in another one (I keep an extra battery with me) and phone started working. What could have possibly gone wrong with the battery when it dropped and if the battery got damaged, I guess it shouldn't even be able to turn on the phone and make it keep restarting? Has anyone experienced this case?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I don't know why you are experiencing this. What happens when you put the original battery back in? It might have just been a random error.

Just to make it clear,
Put the original battery
Turn on the phone
Shows first screen saying "Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100"
Stays on it for a couple of seconds
Restarts
Keeps repeating (Doesn't respond to Power key or Power+Home+VolumeUp key combination)
Forcefully remove the battery
Plug another battery
Turn on the phone
Works fine
I've been searching the internet for answers on my problem. All of them are the same but what's happening to my phone is somewhat different. You see, it freezes randomly. Or sometimes will restart. When im charging it will also freeze. The weird thing is if im charging my phone while it is turned off, it will hang at the big battery (that is being filled screen). Sometimes it will hang at the battery with lightning. Sometimes it will freeze on some percentage (even at 0%). Also if im using the phone, as im browsing the internet scrolling up and down, as soon as my thumb leaves the screen (for about 5 seconds) it will freeze. Ive tried resetting to factory settings. Tried different chargers. Even samsung has reinstalled a fresh OS. Im using samsung galaxy s6 G920FD (duos). Couldnt find any firmware for duos thats why i cant flash a stock firmware. Havent opened the back panel yet.
So my Frontier S3 AT&T started having a weird issue about a month ago. when I was using it to work out ...the screen would go completely black, nothing you could do bring it back. You could force reboot it but after showing the rebooting Samsung logo the screen would still be black. The only way to get it working again was to put it in the charger for a minute and once it started charging it would then boot up normally again.
Now this seems to be happening at random times during the day for no reason.. I factory reset it a few times but the problem reappears ... Any thoughts? (Might be time for an upgrade)
My Gear S3 is doing the same thing. The battery seems to drain very quickly. When I put it back on the charger, it says 88% and charges back to 100% very quickly. However, I only get 30 mins. use out of it, before it goes black again.

Mine does the same thing also....Might be time for a new one. I'm kinda thinking about a Samsung Active 2 for something different
