Update Old Version Of Instagram - General Questions and Answers

Hi everyone,
I factory reset my phone recently. That also results in all apps being thrown back to the original app version. Now, it seems that the pre-installed Instagram is in a too old state to update itself when opening the app. Anyone encountered the same problem?

Here are some details if it helps:
Phone
LG G5 SE
OS Version
Android 7.0 (Nougat)
So far no update available for Instagram on the Play Store or system app updater. As far as I remember, I had to update Instagram in the app itself first to get it available in the Play Store updater. I could use the Instagram Lite app (available on Play Store) but I'd prefer the full app.
Thanks in advance!

Uninstall Instagram, then install the version released 2023-06-07Instagram 286.0.0.20.69 https://apkpure.com/de/instagram-android/com.instagram.android/variant/286.0.0.20.69-APK

I'll try to uninstall Instagram and reinstall it from the Play Store. I have to see if it installs the newest version since Instagram is pre-installed (system app) on this phone.

I simply installed Instagram Lite now.

I'm running stock, rooted Sense 5. 4.2.2/Sense 5 wasn't released too long ago. Is it possible for manufacturers to just update system apps from the Play Store BEFORE they announced support for this with the M8?
Now, I don't download very many apps on the Play Store, so my Play Store Installed Apps list is quite short. I've never seen this app on the list. Perhaps more can pop up when it finds updates HTC pushes?
The update was found yesterday, though the update day reads 20 March 2014. Filtering by device model, it seems all comments on the Play Store listing from our very device were made within the last two days.
What I hope this means is that HTC will update Sense components for our devices via the Play Store, if this app's update indicates any possibility in doing so.
HTC is following in the footsteps of what Google, Motorola, and others have been doing recently...uploading their "stock" apps to the Play Store.

how to install play store in G5520 (Samsung On5 2016 Chinese Region) WITHOUT ROOT

i had stock firmware installed OS 6 Marshmallow which does not upgrade when i tap on download update from settings, one day i have connected to it with Smart Switch and that gave me an option to upgrade the OS to 7 i have upgraded it, after the installation google play store and other google apps stopped working i have upgraded it to OS 8 but same google apps does not comes up, i have google it and found that this model is made for chinese and in china they are not allowed to use google apps. now the problem is:
i had taken the screenshot of my original baseband before upgrading it first time to OS7 the original firmware was g5520zcu1apj2 i have found this from one unofficial site (only) after installing this firmware my phone is not getting signals in both the sims not even google play store is installed in it.
i wonder how was i using google apps with the same baseband number and without any signal issues.
can anyone provide me this baseband official firmware with google apps fix
PS: i don't want to root my device as this can stop Samsung Health app which i don't want to,
if i upgrade through smart switch then only samsung health works otherwise it says can not run on rooted device

Since the app to install Google is malware I wouldn't trust anything that is installed by it. GMS core services are supposed to be system apps not user space apps so these Google APK files this app is installing are NOT legit Google apps. Since Huawei is providing the unlock code for the mate 30, do it the right way and get the real gapps, not this hacked Chinese bull****
better wait for better options. im currently using mate 20 pro. and interested in upgrading to mate 30 pro.. waiting only on the gms issue and work around.
Seems the door to install Google apps may have been closed today.
