Hey guys,
I have a strange issue with my Magic Vs (Global version)
Facebook notifications... They do come as I can see a small number on the Facebook icon, but I do not get a notification on the Notifications bar or a sound.
I have enabled all notification options for the app. Also power management for the app is disabled.
I had a similar issue a while ago on the Vivo X Fold but that was a China rom and things were messy overall...
Did not had such issus with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (China rom)
Ideas?

Hello,
I spent the last week from a Galaxy S4 under Cyanogenmod 12.1 to a Galaxy S6 with stock Android 5.1.1 ROM not rooted.
I have some "problems" with notifications, I came from Cyanogenmod so I do not know if that was a feature of this ROM or a bug / misconfiguration
from me on the S6.
Previously S4/Cyanogenmod for any notification (SMS, Gmail, Facebook, Snapchat, etc) if I was in the application in question without going through the
notification bar, once the applicaton open the notification disappeared from the bar. It worked even if I went through other way than my phone, example via my computer
notification is also suppressed from the bar
Now if I redo the same test whether via the applicaton or via other way than the phone notification remains present in the bar.
To clarify here are the steps to reproduce my case with Gmail notification:
Galaxy S4 / Cyanogenmod
- I unlocks the phone
- I open myself the Gmail application
- I open the email
- Notification disappears
Galaxy S6 / ROM stock
- I unlocks the phone
- I open myself the Gmail application
- I open the email
- Notification remains present (the same for SMS, Snapchat, etc.)
I did not think it would affect that but it is the only application relating to notifications I installed Light Manager Pro.
I also install the launcher Nova Launcher but logically it does not intervene in the notifications.
Hoping to find help here
Thank you !

Ya u have to swipe the notifications away and go into the app from the icon to clear the numbers on the icon ik it kinda bugs me to i also came from a s4
Hi xstokerx,
thank you for your quick answer I found the issue, it is Light Manager Pro.
This application have a configuration "Enable tips 5.1.1 : Apply fix for system notifications LED". If I enable this tip I have the notification issue but if I disable the tip I find the basic operation of Android.
A fix creating creating an issue unfortunately....
Thank you.

I'm planning to buy a Huawei or an Honor phone in the near future with EMUI v8 pre-installed. For people who use this version of EMUI, I wanna ask if notifications from different apps (whatsapp, fb, ...etc) are received without any issues? OR I'll have to fiddle around in the settings to white-list apps from strict battery savings restrictions?
Without action no good notification. U have to change setting in battery and notification settings
On my Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design I don't have any problems with notification. The default setting excludes all apps from power management, so no probs.

When you upgrade to Oreo, shouldn't Oreo alone be enough to do the power management?! I've read that Oreo has built in feature(s) to throttle background activities so I"m wondering why Huawei didn't remove their power management lines of code from EMUI v8 (which is currently present on their Mate 10 devices) and leave the task to the OS to do the thing more efficiently?!
My Mate 9 by default will beep for notifications, pulse the notification light and display an icon in the notification bar. However, notifications do not peep by default (pop up) or turn on the screen. Enabling the peep appears to need to be done on each app individually.
Allowing all notifications to turn on the screen is a one click for all process with the option to manage each app individually.
With regards to power management, none of the apps are affected by this by default.
All the above are in the Notification & status bar section of settings.

Hi all,
Hope you are fine. I am using Mi Note 10 Lite and MIUI 12.02 Global ROM. I can access/enable/disable all things (WIFI, Mobile Data, etc.) on Notification Bar when phone locked. My opinion is this is a vulnerability for me. Is there any way to prevent this?
Any help appreciated.
Kind Regards.
Go to Settings, Notifications, you will see 3 phone screens, tap the left one which is Lock Screen notifications, turn off the Open Notification shade on Lock Screen. You're done
Howdy! I have brand new OnePlus Nord 5G (Android 11) and already having problems with it. When I don't use it for longer time (30 min or more) and someone sends me a message on Messenger, then it doesn't trigger notification - no sound, no vibration, no notification on status bar. I only see notification for new message when I manually run the Messenger app. It looks like the system is killing background activity for the app. Battery is charged and I have battery saving disabled. I already followed this guide on how to disable battery optimizations for whole system and for Messenger https://dontkillmyapp.com/oneplus but it didn't change anything. It's very annoying and makes the smartphone unusable. Any advices? Thanks.
Nevermind, notifications issues are very common for OnePlus smartphones: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-nord-no-notifications-calls-from-apps.1277927/page-12
I returned it to the store.
I've been noticing that there is a bug (?) on the notification above some apps icons. For instance, if I receive 3 or 4 Messenger messages the notification number on the icon above the app remains 1. The same happens with Reddit and Telegram but doesn't happen with Whatsapp and Outlook. Does anyone knows why? Is this a bug? I have a POCO F3
