No basically we r impoting some patch from mido note 4 and we r using prebuild kernel .As we know our device contains pure AOSP kernel .So probably It will work with Lineage os and lineage based or Aosp caf based rom.
Thought No build come out yet.But soon we will get some custom rom.

[ROM Build Help] Nitrogen OS for Walleye

Hello All,
I am trying to build Nitrogen OS for Pixel 2 (aka Walleye).
I cloned Nitrogen OS and then forked device, vendor, and kernel trees from AICP as they already have working builds for walleye.
On compiling , I am getting an error.
Code:
external/tinycompress/Android.mk: error: cplay (native:platform) should not link to libtinycompress_vendor (native:vendor)
pastebin :- https://pastebin.com/zEUE9wua
any help in fixing the error would be appreciated.
Fix :- Apply this patch - https://github.com/halogenOS/androi...mmit/8a56c183d5887e3c9e2cab45349ddf5e7285b49f
Source for device, kernel and vendor
https://github.com/munchycool?tab=repositories
All repos except "fortheluluz" are needed for walleye.
Nitrogen OS Source :-
https://github.com/nitrogen-project
Do note, you will have to delete below folder once you sync nitrogen os, else compile will throw an error.
Code:
hardware/qcom/msm8998/gpt-utils
Thanks.

Have you been on the telegram chat for Pixel 2 that had Nitrogen builds for other devices? Might find hello there.

Could I use these to attempt building other ROMs? For instance I'm interested in making my own personal DU build.

And in this post you looking for all news about unofficial and official custom ROMs for our device, on Android Pie.( Not treble ROMs)

We currently have many options to install custom rom as we like, but I have tried many, only Lineage OS 15.1 fully support treble, but this is a beta release so there are some major bugs of course. and the major bug persists when we install GSI Rom...

as we know this is an alpha release, so there are some bugs, like camera / gallery etc. But the magisk works and the sound is good too. as i mentioned before, i haven't used this as a daily driver, so i don't know yet the behavior of the battery..
note: magisk-pph version
note: stock gallery FC --- use Gallery Go ✓
stock Message FC --- use Message by Google ✓

kernow
I compiled the kernel successfully. All of the sensors, wifi and sound doesn't work. I am on MIUI 12.1.1 Global Android 11. Is this a MIUI bug or kernel bug? I tried enabling sensors drivers and still same.
OOOOH YEEES
now let's contact some devs to ask them if they could make a custom kernel
this would be great if NoGravityKernel or Hydra kernel would be available. 70-90hz gaming would be insanely cool. hope we'll get those type of mods. with corvus os android 11 and it would be ultragaming experience.

I'm wondering how can 90hz on software would be noticeable as the display refresh rate is 60hz,

Anyway, let's hope now for official custom recovery's with nand backup.

well idk but in other phones it works too
like Mi 8, you can go up to 90hz by installing custom kernel that can overclock to 90hz
anyways we'd still need custom kernels because stock ram management isn't that good
