The specific model of my Oppo A3s smartphone is CPH1803
The specifications mentioned below may vary depending on the region and specific model variant of the Oppo A3s
Info:
Display: It features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, providing clear and vibrant visuals.
Processor: Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, the A3s ensures smooth performance and efficient multitasking.

you could try to hexpatch devinfo partition via edl mode, but most likely it's impossible.
edit: if you read a lot maybe you find a way, some things looks promising.
[DISCUSSION] A thread to collate and share what is known about unlocking fastboot on Oppo devices
Admin: Please move/delete this thread if it is in the wrong place or against the rules. I wanted to create a thread to discuss unlocking fastboot mode on Oppo devices in general, rather than discussing it in terms of any one device in...

Sure, why not
New Firmware release:
Most of all it is cheap...and inexpensive
Although the specs promise a great phone and set high expectations, you shouldn't set your hopes too high.
Memory is very limited (only 1,2 GB left for installing software) and not addressed very efficiently. Apps2SD or Link2SD doesn't work for the remaining 12GB...and external MicroSD cards are not handled very well.
Biggest challenge and most common remark/complaint on http://bbs.elephone.hk/ however is the battery. It drains quite fast.
Support from Elephone is quite limited and the phone is not very popular amongst enthusiasts, so custom ROMs are not very likely.
...but as long as you don't expect too much at this price....it is good value for money (at least I am quite happy with it...except for the WiFi problems).
Btw: there is another tread about the P2000 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/elephone-p2000-nfc-mtk6592-1-7ghz-t2826632
this includes the ROM updates and links

About the app partition, you can fix this. Mine has now 7GB of app space which is lot more than what almost anyone needs.
Look at Marsapa custom tom on NeedRom. He is now at version 3. The ROM works perfectly. The phone is really great.
The only problem that remains and will probably last, is the battery life. About 2 to 2:30 hours max (when screen on).
Just because of that, I'm looking for a replacement.

There is indeed firmware on their site , but the problem currently is the 1GB storage for apps. This is a reply I got from them via Facebook.
"Vkworld Mobile
this is a problem of Android 4.4; please wait for new update"
Now as I have multiple Android 4.4 Devices, I never had this problem before.
the 3g signal is very weak

What would your ideal phone be?

I thought it'd be interesting to see what the ideal phone would be for different people on this forum. I'd recommend "thanking" posts that describe phones you like as well. I envision one that would be over-spec'd for modern times in order to future proof it and make it last a long time.
Screen size: between 5" and 5.2"
Phone size: similar size to Galaxy S6, but not a phone with a larger body than that
Back Camera: At least 16 MP, with high quality low-light sensor technology like that found in Samsung or Sony cameras
Front camera: don't really care, but something basic
Processor: (this is where it gets a bit more hypothetical) something that can get up to 2.8 GHz but only when required; typically would run closer to 1.5 GHz - basically, something that could run processor-intensive apps easily but would also have iOS-style performance for most normal activity.
RAM: 6 or 8 GB (for future proofing)
Storage: 64 GB minimum, or 32 GB with expandable storage
Battery: 4,000 mAh minimum
Security: Fingerprint sensor (something like the iPhone's sensor - the S6's sensor is still not terribly reliable), supports encryption without noticeable R/W delays
Cellular Radio: GSM and CDMA radios that can be switched on or off depending on your carrier to conserve battery, LTE-A radio,
Other: QuickCharging 3.0, Both wireless charging standards, shatterproof display (like the new Moto phone), both a regular micro USB and USB-C port, unlocked IR blaster (i.e., programmable, unlike Samsung, more like LG), front-facing speakers, waterproofing (like the Xperia Z3), Samsung Pay (or something like the OpenPay technology I've described), NFC
I think that covers it on the hardware side! On the software side, I'd either like something that gets timely updates, or something that's easy to unlock/root with open source files for all the cool technology. Now, some amazing smartphone manufacturer - please see this and make me my perfect phone!! #wishfulthinking

Probably you'll find suggestions, answers or recoendations also there?
I see that it will be difficult to find something on the above-mentioned phones.
Is it then a good idea to buy one of the smartphones supported by Lineage OS 18.1 and upload this software there? Will lineageOS allow me, for example, to hide gps locations, hide or redirect logins to GSM antennas, change IP using vpn or tor browser?
Perhaps try /e/ OS?
