There is indeed firmware on their site , but the problem currently is the 1GB storage for apps. This is a reply I got from them via Facebook.
"Vkworld Mobile
this is a problem of Android 4.4; please wait for new update"
Now as I have multiple Android 4.4 Devices, I never had this problem before.

the 3g signal is very weak

Yes it has a small red led that appears to flash on messages and battery status.
battery life- just got 25hours normally use with WIFI/ data on continuously.GPS seems slow like all chinese phones. 6 inch screen but soft buttons seem to takes up too much room really although you can hide them.Clear speakers. Will continue to post as I test
Recharge 2 hours and 15 minutes on stock charger
Antutu reports 27253 - although with th recent relevations of manufacturers tweeking Antutu I wouldn't be suprised if this is inaccurate. As rear camera is reported as 18.2 mp!

Yes ill post it soon
can report battery life seems to have improved, now at 50% when at this point it had run out. Also GPS is much better (after initial slow start) than my Cubot A6589 or my wifes M6589.
Picks up wifi straight away no issues.
have also noticed that this model supports wifi updates. Hopefully this mean no more messing about with SP tools etc.Still deciding weather to root yet,
I can confirm

Fake T200? now there is a thing...chinese manufacturers faking chinese phones! Mind you Thl is very popular in china with apparently over 300 stores.
Got mine from Thl: www.thlmobilestore.com
I have also used Geekbuying (geekbuying.com) as well, never had a problem with what they have sold me, sites a bit inaccurate though (fake Antutu screen shots etc) but thats the norm for chinese sites in my experience, so you have to do your research.

Suggest the T100 then basically the same except 5 inch screen.
Benchmark 41.8 in Epic Citadel at 1920x1080 performance level = "High Quality"

I am also in this website to buy THL T100S.
I received the ThL T200 a few days ago and I have been using it as my main phone. The T200 is a pleasure to use. It has a six inch screen and coming from my previous cubot A6589 (5.7 inch) it does seem much bigger in the hand. however I did own a N9776 and of course I could be getting used to big phones. i'm getting on a bit in years, and I find that smaller screens seem too small for me without my reading glasses!
The design of the T200 follows a common design format for Chinese phones with its black or white back cover and crome trim. The left and right boarder is about 3 mm wide with the usual wider top and bottom boarders.Ear phone jack and micro USB is unusually set into the top edge, In most phones the bottom boader contains the home button etc, but the T200 follows a tablet layout with soft keys taking up the bottom of the screen. You can hide it though so you can free up real estate on the main screen.Power button is on the left with the volume rocker on the right of the phone. The top boarde contains the sensors as usual with a small red LED notification light which illuminates on messgaes, missed calls etc and when requiring or when being charged. chaging to green when sufficient battery power is there.Like the T100S when the disply is off the display blends with surrounding bezels.
The display is a very good 1930 x 1080 full HD resolution. Colour seems good as is brightness of the display. Like the T100S it has a density of 441 pixels per inch, so the screen is sharp and clear. Its not the best Ive seen but at this price it seems a bargin.
The MTK6592 is an octo-core A7 at 1.7 Ghz which certainly moves along at a good pace. I got over 27000 on Antutu although with the recent issues with manufacturers either doctoring read outs or making the OS recognise when Antutu is running, this might be a little misleading but it is certainly in line with other scores Ive seen out there.
For Epic Citadel, the T200 consistently managed 41.8 frames per second (fps) on the High Quality setting. its also quite good considering the GPU is the Mali-450 which isn't the best out there but again I feel one has to take into account the price difference.
I haven't tested the CPU yet but Gary Sims on android Authority has tested the T100S
http://www.androidauthority.com/octa-core-thl-t100s-review-327578/
The battery is a 2500 mAh which for me has given about 1 day 12 hours of normal use (WIFI and data continuously on, phones, bit of film watching and games)so far although it might need some more bedding in. Like the T100S it has a option to limit CPU activity to lengthen battery life. tried both (one charge with it on and one off) and it doesn't seem to make much difference.
2GB RAM + 32GB ROM (translates as 5.77GB internal storage and 22.07GB phone storage
The camera is a 13 mp back camera and the front is 8 mp. Its good but I have seen better, but again you get what you pay for and for general use both cameras are more than adequate.
The phone has OTG which works straight out of the box mounting the drive instantaneously. It also has NFC I haven;t tested this but if it is like its twin the T100S then it should work well.
Overall then the THL T200 is a very good phone in my opinion for the price. It has its weak points but considering the price differential I feel its worthy of consideration.
Thanks for the review. I am still deciding whether to get this phone or Zopo 990+
Nice review.I am also considering the Zopo 990+ because I Would like to have 3G:WCDMA900/1900/2100MHz
The carrier(in Sweden) I have,use both 900Mhz and 2100Mhz I haven`t found any Thl T200 with 3GWCDMA 900/1900/2100MHz
The Zopo 990+ for Us $339.99 (This has 3G:WCDMA900/1900/2100MHz)
The Thl T200 for Us $304,99
Both at dhgate.

Yes Im in the UK so could go for the slightly cheaper option
I got mine in today, been playing around a bit, very nice new toy, I'm impressed with the performance so far.
For those who are interested: It seems to have a form of CWM recovery mode, just keep volume-up pressed while switching the phone on. The power button works as a back button, the vol-up as the 'confirm' button and the vol-down scrolls the menu.
Options available are:
Reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data

Hero H9008 Pro MT6592 Mlais MX69T Pro OEM With Quad-Band WCDMA

This is one of a very few models with 1900MHz. It's been proven by one of our members who disabled all frequencies except for 1900MHz WCDMA through engineering mode and was still able to use H+ (UMTS/HSDPA/WCDMA/3G)
The phone has 900MHz as well for Europe.
The whole reason we're posting this here at XDA is because we're trying to spread the word regarding this China brand phone with quad-band WCDMA. Yes, there have been previous MTK phones (notably Blu Life) with 1900, but that is an American brand. iNew x000 is advertised as having a '1900MHz version' of their x000 lines, but there's been zero definitive proof that we've seen, and even if it exists, it's not quad-band WCDMA. We'd love to see it if it exists. Otherwise, we're calling this the first MTK China brand model with quad-band WCDMA. It's really huge news, and congrats to Mlais and H9008 for taking this big step. It will be a day that goes down in China phone history.
So far the phone looks very good. The screen is excellent. We will put it through the paces over the next few days.

This could be my next phone, but I've read about the battery problems, do you think is the same on all variations of this phone? mlais for example?
Or maybe OEM versions have a cheaper battery? Please let us know the battery test results with the new firmware.
three more questions:
1. is there a multicolored notification led?
2. on this phone, what are the file transfer speeds using the usb 3.0 connector and cable?
3. found it at antelife, is it a good price or did you get it cheaper somewhere else?
thank you very much!

We got this phone from 1949deal.com. Don't always go with cheapest, 1949deal.com has a decent price ($295), and with the coupon code, it's $285 (coupon: 1949dealh9008). I always recommend going with the shop that has treated you right, as long as the prices are somewhat similar.
I will do FULL battery tests on this phone.
thx for the answers, I'm waiting for the full review and that coupon
In answer to the first question. I've seen green, red, blue in the LED. Haven't seen other colors yet, but haven't tried for any either.
Rooted already. I will put root method in OP in about an hour. Making full stock backup now (baseband, radio files, system). Will get it uploaded tonight.
I was just playing with a real Note 3 half an hour ago.I tested all buttons on the real Note 3, looked at the plastic trim around the side. Pressed the volume buttons. Pressed the home button. The 'play' and feel was the same. If anything, the H9008 feels more solid in the hand than the real Note 3.
geeez, so tempted to buy right now.... hahaha, your battery tests will close the deal.
thank you once more.
In another subject, do you think mediatek would allow this current generation to be upgraded to the latest android version? Chinese phone development is so fast that SO upgrades are non existent.

It's possible, but I doubt it. I will be surprised if it sees true stock 4.3 or 4.4.
If another similar (MT6592 1080p) phone with 4.3 or 4.4 comes out, we may see some good ports in the future.
And if LeWa / MIUI for MT6592 4.3 or 4.4 comes, again it's a relatively easy port for a decent developer.
Added CWM 5.5.0.4 to OP
Added Carliv Touch CWM 6.0.4.4. EMMC, sd-card, data - all mounting fine.
After several mishaps and bricks. We've finally figured out the deal. This phone is an OEM Mlais MX69T Pro http://www.mlais.com/mx69tPro.html, but seemingly without the NFC and the TD-SCDMA. We've flashed the latest firmware from 18-FEB-2014 and everything so far tested is working the same as H9008 stock firmware. The wallpaper, sounds and everything are the exact same as H9008 as well.
Unless you want to have a lot of fun reflashing and soft-bricking, we recommend you don't fool with MX69 (without the T) Pro firmware. The scatters are nowhere near the same. We tried flashing with scatters from stock H9008 firmware and with the original scatter that came with the ROM. There was no success with MX69 Pro firmware.
MX69T went off without a hitch though.
We'll try and have a first thoughts video up later today. So far, it's nothin' but good.
thx for the information, your conclusions keep me one step from pulling the trigger for this phone.
There were several slightly nervous moments when the phone didn't turn on at all. But we went back to work and tried several different times (10 flashes or so all together) with different methods and tools until we determined it's definitely not MX69 Pro 'standard', but 'definitely' is OEM MX69T Pro....The firmware updates have been coming out regularly for the phone as well (see previous Needrom link). A very good sign.

Different H9008 versions?
Are there different versions of the H9008 on the market?
I checked a couple of shops and found H9008 phones with different specs. The main difference is the front camera. Some list the camera as 5MP, other as 8MP and some as 13MP.
If the H9008 is a full OEM version of the Mlais MX69T Pro, then the front camera should be 13MP.
Another question which is bugging me:
What's the aperture of the rear camera on the H9008? The original Mlais has an aperture of f2.0. I couldn't find any information on the H9008 camera.

OTG doesn't work for me!
Few other disadvantages:
No software updates
Scratchy noise in audio recording
Buggy UI
Rear speaker emits very high frequencies without any bass
Display in nice but the touch screen is not very accurate
Camera is just basic
Missing basic features such as "kill all in task manager", "three finger slide to screenshot", "multi-choice option in lockscreen", etc.
V500 seems very hot in russia.
Any custom roms?
yes there are few roms, one in needrom.com and other in taiwanrom in facebook with htc sense..good roms and good phone..
Lollipop?
Not yet but son i think so. That guys of taiwanrom are working hard un many devices. Now i have miui 6 working fine. Made by taiwanrom
Based on 4.4 right?
Both SIM-Slots for 4G/3G?
Can both SIM-Slots be used for 4G/3G?
If not, which SIM-Slot is capable for 4G/3G and which SIM-Slot is only capable for 2G?
Thank you in advance.
1st slot can go 3/4g and the second is 2g only
For price 95 euro in China , very good phone (after 24h use). Dont feel like 2Gb phone, buggy UI.
But, I like : very good IPS display 400ppi , 5.5in , Removable batery 2500mAh, 2sim cards, 16Gb, look like 200euro phone .
Buggy UI can be altered by installing Nova launcher but the rest of the phone is too laggy even for surfing the web, not to mention any serious gaming, multitasking or photo/video shooting. No Lollipop, no OTA, no use buying it. Instead of giving 95$ for a device that is only good for Viber/Whatsapp and 2D, you would be better off with a Samsung Galaxy S3 which is still a good phone, way better than the ViewSonic in terms of surfing, gaming, software and autonomy
Display is perfect, 400ppi ( my opinion) . My dother is on youtube, games for girls work perfect. Only voice on telefone is little low

Vodafone smart ultra 6

Well i haven't seen a forum or topic on this amazing phone from vodafone with amazing specs below. The phone can also be unlocked from ebay for £3.75 confirmed by me as i have one.
Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 specifications:
Dimensions: 154 x 77 x 8.35mm
Weight: 159g
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939, octa-core
Display: 5.5 inch Full HD (1080 x 1920)
Storage: 16GB, microSD (up to 128GB)
Memory: 2GB of RAM
Camera: 13Mp rear-facing LED flash, 5Mp front-facing
Operating system: Android 5.0, Lollipop
Battery: 3000mAh
QUICK REVIEW
First impressions:
1) Nippy little phone. Good quality screen - both bright and clear with little reflection.
2) Like the buttons below the screen - particularly the glowing centre button when I have a notification
3) After using for a few hours last night, impossible (for me) to use one handed. Do enjoy having large screen, but the size of device may take some getting used to. Think for me, I'd prefer a maximum of a 5inch screen. Didn't come as a surprise though as knew it was same size as iPhone 6 Plus
4) Appears well built, with no flex. Impressed with quality.
5) Played Monument Valley and Sonic Rush - both appeared fairly quick (although loading times were long, this may have been software.)
5) Overall, an absolute bargain at £125 if you can cope with size.

I think you should try these, as the installed android should be close to pure android.

Thanks for your reply , unfortunately the Google USB driver was not recognized as correct for my device. I know that this phone is a re badged ZTE Blade 6 Plus will see if I can find a driver for it .

If you just want to access your file system then you will need to enable the MTP setting in Settings / Storage. Click on the three dots in the top right to bring up the USB settings and enable MTP.
I have looked for the Android / ADB drivers on both the Vodafone site and ZTE's site without luck.
I'll think I'll get this one to replace my old and faulty S3.
Do you think in terms of development (custom recovery, custom roms) there will be some options available in the future?

Rooting working with kingroot but xposed needs to be installed via a custom recovery (i think?) and there isn't one for this device. the bootloader seems to be locked as I can only get the help command to work. shame because the device is brilliant for the money.
just picked up one today and phones damn impressive for the price considering the rest in the price bracket. I have found a few bugs mainly the light capacitive keys in blue flicker when installing a new app and when they black out , they have a time limit on them you can chose between off - always on in stages, and you hit the menu key for recent apps, the blue back light fails to come on but hit the home or back button and they all light up again.
I would like to hope this phone gets some dev attention due to the price point and how versatile it is, I'm sure it will be a popular handset for many given the lack of choices in this price range and the high spec provided for the price
Roms
Ok so I've uninstalled the bloatware and the phone is working great but I'm still curious as to whether you can flash ROMs on this that are for the zte blade s6 plus since its essentially just rebadged, would this be possible? Does anyone know does it work like that?

since the stock launcher is ridiculous i tried running Nova, but after rooting i got a bug of some sort: when you open the camera, i get an "unfortunately Gallery has stopped" error. Nova crashes and returns to the stock launcher. rebooting and reinstalling did not solve it.
I installed holo launcher HD and no problemas só far, im Aldo rooted.

Only weeks after the original Cube T8 was released, Cube, the dominant Chinese brand in making tablets with smartphone functions, introduced the enhanced version - the T8 Plus, which features a more vibrant Full HD IPS display, a more powerful octa-core processor as well as better cameras. It is made to woo buyers with a higher demand for specs and performance, buyers whom the T8 just failed to impress.
Cube T8 Plus specifications
•OS: Android 5.1
•Display: 8-inch IPS, 5-point multi-touch
•Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1200 (16:10)
•CPU: 64-bit MT8783 octa-core processor (8 cores of Cortex-A53)
•CPU Frequency: 1.3GHz
•GPU: Mali-720MP3
•RAM / Storage: 2GB / 16GB
•Function: WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, OTG, Miracast, FM Radio
•WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot
•GSM: band2, band3, band5, band8
•TDS: band34, band39
•WCDMA: band1, band5
•TDD: band38, band39, band40, band41
•FDD: band1, band3, band7
•Camera: 5MP back camera, 2.4MP front camera
•Battery: 4000mAh
•Extend Port: TF Card Slot, SIM Card Slot, Micro SIM Card Slot, Micro USB Port, 3.5mm Headphone Jack
•Weight & Size: 354 g / 215*122.9*9.85mm
Design
The Cube T8 Plus looks almost identical to the original T8: a widescreen display which dominated the front panel, a relatively small bezel around the screen, rounded corners, and a metallic rear side.
There is an earpiece on the front panel, right above the screen, which means you won’t have to plug in a headphone or use the built-in speakers for phone calls. You can also find a 2.4MP front-facing camera, a light sensor, a proximity sensor on the front.
The rear side of the tablet is a combination of plastic and metal, which reminds us of the LG G Pad 8.3.
There are a 5MP main camera and an LED flash, some branding, and a single rear-facing speaker on the back.
The only physical buttons you will find are the power/standby key and the volume rocker, both hosted on the right side.
Like the original T8 and other Cube T series tablets, the T8 Plus is a very promising slate when it comes to connectivity. On the top side of the tablet you will find a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Micro USB port which supports USB on the go.
Once you remove the plastic lid on the rear, you will find a Micro SD card slot which supports cards up to 128GB, a Micro SIM card slot and a full-size SIM card slot. Both SIM slots support dual 4G network (TDD and FDD). Unfortunately, we didn’t find the Micro HDMI port, which was one of the main reasons we fell in love with the original T8. The absence here feels somewhat unacceptable.
At 9.85mm, the T8 Plus is not thin by today’s tablet standards, still I would say it is an okay thickness as I didn’t really feel much more burden with the T8 Plus than with my super slim Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, although it is noticeably thicker. Also, the T8 Plus feels very solidly constructed, There is no sign of unwanted gaps in the casing or wobbly buttons.
Like the original T8, the T8 Plus comes with two color options: the white version has a white front and a silver rear, while the black version has a black front and a blue rear. The black version does have a more premium feel to it, but the white version is made for those who hate the feel of black technology.
Screen and sound
One of the major improvements from the original T8 is the screen. As the T8 Plus sports an 8-inch IPS display at Full HD resolution, with a pixel density of 280PPI, a huge leap from the 189PPI of the original T8. Although it is still not the highest, especially when compared to the crazy sharp display found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and Tab S 8.4, it beats the sharpness of the iPad Air series (264PPI) and the LG G Pad 8.3 (273PPI).
As you could imagine, icons and images are so crisp and lifelike that they look painted on. The Cube T8’s display even looks as sharp and clear as the screen on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, almost impossible to tell the difference in PPI with your bare eyes.
Also, color imaging is natural and precise, it is more than vivid and vibrant for an entry-level tablet. The same goes for the contrast, which offers very pure white tones and extremely dark black. The viewing angle on the T8 Plus is also very wide, and it offers amazing brightness even suitable for outdoor usage.
As for the device's speaker, I was pleasantly surprised by how loud and rich the single rear-facing speaker sound. To my non-audiophile ears, I didn't detect much tinniness, and found it perfectly acceptable for watching YouTube videos and listening to FM radios. But if you really want to experience the soundstage and instrument separation in music, and the boomy effects of adction movies, I would recommend an external audio system such as a headphone or a set of speakers.
System and Apps
Like the original T8, the Cube T8 Plus ships with Android 5.1, which is also the latest version of Android OS. While the T8 runs stock Android skin, with almost none customizations on top, the T8 Plus has been skinned with some unique features.
You can choose to switch running applications between full screen and floating windows. You are also able to run several applications in floating windows in the foreground, and even pin apps on top by tapping the small “pin app” icon.
However, if you expect the multi-tasking feature of the T8 Plus to be as refined as the Qslide App of the LG Optimus UI or the phone mode feature on the REMIX OS, you will certainly be disappointed. All apps can be switched to floating windows on the T8 Plus, but not all of them can be usable in windows, some applications just show a small proportion of their interface, and are not really responsive to our tapping. Also, the windows are not resizable at all, making the multi-tasking a less useful feature than it could have been.
There is a small triangular icon at the bottom left of the screen, by tapping it you can bring up a small screen of applications you often use, you can even add more apps to this screen.
Other than those features, the T8 Plus still keeps the head to toe stock Android Lollipop feel which most users would prefer.
Like all Cube’s Android tablets powered by the MediaTek processor, the T8 Plus also support OTA, making firmware upgrade much easier for average users.
Performance
Another major improvement of the T8 Plus is the 64-bit MT8783 Cortex A53 octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. While the improvement in smoothness isn’t that obvious, as the T8 is already quite fast thanks to its lower resolution screen, the improvement in benchmarks is quite evident.
The T8 Plus was returned some pretty impressive benchmark scores. It notched 33,608 in Antutu Benchmark, which is on par with the score of the Snapdragon 800 powered Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. It also got 2,525 in Geekbench3, and 24,195 in Quadrant, pretty amazing results for an entry-level tablets.
In the more graphic-focused 3D Mark Ice Storm tests, the T8 Plus handily beat the original T8, but still lags behind major Android tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and the Google Nexus 9.
In the real world use, the T8 Plus proved itself capable of handling almost everything with ease. Image-heavy websites rendered quickly, video playback was extremely smooth.
Thanks to great compatibility of the Mali-720MP3 GPU, most graphic-intense games loaded fast and ran at acceptable frame rates. Some of my favorite 3D games such as Virtua Tennis and Zombie Woods ran at even higher frame rates on the T8 Plus than on My Snapdragon 805 powered LG G3 Cat6.
Battery Life
Even with a bright, Full HD IPS display, the T8 Plus was still able to deliver a battery performance on par with the original T8. With an average of 3 hours’ screen time, the tablet can easily last more than 2 days on a full charge.
In our standard cngadget battery test, we loop a 1080P video with 50% of screen brightness and 50% of volume from its built-in speaker, the T8 Plus lasted 7 hours and 9 minutes until auto-shutdown. It is definitely no match for the battery performance of high-end tablets such as the iPad Air 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S, but still quite decent.
Connectivity
As another tablet from Cube’s famous T series, the T8 Plus can be used as a smartphone. It supports both TDD and FDD 4G networks, and there are two SIM card slots on board to enable dual standby. Other smartphone functionalities such as voice call, SMS, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio are also included.
Although we would not recommend anyone to use an 8-inch tablet as their main communication device, but it is nice to know you have a backup once your smartphone runs out of juice.
Cameras
The T8 Plus has a 2.4MP front-facing camera and a 5MP main camera with auto-focus support and LED flash. Both cameras are quite basic, but they are capable finishing the tasks which they are meant for. The front-facing camera is nice enough for video-chatting via Skype and Wechat, while the rear-facing camera could snap some photos for Facebook and Instagram updates.
Photos taken with the main camera
Price and Availability
The T8 Plus has just been released, and is isn’t publicly available yet, not even in the domestic Chinese market. It is now open for pre-ordering on Ali-express.com for $136.8, but there will be an promotional event on Oct, 8th, when Cube will offer an awesome discount for the T8 Plus.
Final verdict
The Cube T8 Plus brings a lot of important improvements over the original T8. With a stunning Full HD IPS display, amazing performance, decent battery life, great build quality, full phone functionalities and a relatively low price, it is definitely one of the best entry-level Android tablets out there.

Hi,
thanks a lot for this review.
I'm looking for a tablet for my son. This one seems to be really good but i'm hesitating with the Cube Talk 9x who seems to be good too.
My son play a lot of games and he look vidéos on youtube.
Can you tell me for you which one is the better choice?
Maybe another tablet ?
Any root for this ?
Just to understand
Sorry for the question as a newbie I am,
Is there any particular reason that the Cube T8 Plus root procedure has not been addressed in Xda-dev forum ?
Indeed I have heard that the root procedure has been probably discovered in the 4pda.ru russion forum.
Thanks for your feedback.
Please let me know if my question is in the correct Topic.

Careful. I just got the T8 plus and the available internal storage for apps is JUST 2.9 GB. Thats very low. If you install games then you will probably run out of space with two games.

Why do phones have 64bit processors even though they don't have more then 3gb of ram?

I guess it'd be possible to re-partition the internal storage, tho, to then give more of the available 16GB to the 'system' partition as people have done on many devices with the same situations and as it's mentioned here for another device (T9) from the same manufacturer:

I just bought this tablet for 115$ and now I am awaiting delivery. What worries me is what I found on 4pda.ru, that occasionally happens:

I also just bought this from Aliexpress. Hopefully there will soon be a way to fix the small internal storage and also root.

The flickering issue could be linked to the one below :
I personnaly tried to update the firmware in order to figure out slownesses encountered when playing mp3 music from the sdcard port.
But it failed (soft brick) - despite the procedure was succesfully performed - with the same image flickering issue.:crying:
Hope this advise will prevent people to try the same. (Firmware version limited by IMEI starting as T8P.)
Now I am waiting for the next firmware to fix my issue.

No multi user support
for both the T8 and the T8 Plus. Need to apply custom zip through recovery or root the phone. enabling multi user support effectively blocks updates because checksum check of build.prop will fail.
Cube allows anyone with access to the fota servers (or middleman) to install any software/malware they like. since they use the publicly available Android test keys for signing - As a toy their tablets are good enough though...
Brick solved
I had same flickering issue after flashing the official firmware downloaded from cube-tablet . com
BAD FIRMWARE - 0502L800_UE78_T8PG4W10F13TTEXMX8C(STD)_F915_IND_FULL
I downloaded another firmware, flashed it with SP Flash Tool and the Cube T8 Plus has been recovered totally to factory default.
GOOD FIRMWARE - 0502L800_UE78_T8PG4W10F13TTEXMX8C(STD)_EA04_IND_FULL
I cannot post link, but google that and you will find it easily on Mega. I found it on chinagadgetsreviews . blogspot . it (DEC 5, 2015 - DOWNLOAD LATEST ANDROID LOLLIPOP 5.1 STOCK FIRMWARE FOR CUBE T8 TABLET)
I don't know why, but some versions of Cube T8 Plus works with first (official) firmware, other versions of Cube T8 Plus (like mine) works with the second firmware.
Download archive, extract, open SP Flash Tool, go to Download tab, select the scatter file of the new downloaded firmware and select "Firmware upgrade" (not "Download") before click the download button and connect the tablet.
