[GUIDE] Root Meizu M3 Max (Magisk) - Android General

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Download and install python and git
2. Open cmd:

cd mtkclient
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
3. Get usbdk installer (.msi) from here and install it
4. Install normal MTK Serial Port driver
5. Install ADB
6. Have the bootloader unlocked (follow this guide)
ROOTING THE PHONE:

1. Dump boot and vbmeta:

2. Reboot the phone:

3. Download patched magisk for mtk and move it to the phone
4. Install on target phone:
Enable Usb Debugging (Search in Settings)

5. Upload boot to /sdcard/Download:

6. Start magisk, tap on Install, select boot.img from /sdcard/Download, then:

adb pull /sdcard/Download/[displayed magisk patched boot filename here]
mv [displayed magisk patched boot filename here] boot.patched
7. Flash magisk-patched boot and empty vbmeta:

Pitch Black Recovery Project (PBRP) is a custom recovery project based on Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) developed by Reza Adi, maintained by Manjot Sidhu and Mohd Faraz and themed by FireWolf.
Prerequisites
1. Unlocked bootloader.
Bugs
1. Test it, those sides which others haven't tested yet
2. If you have found a bug, please consider posting it to my GitHub Issues.
Instructions
Method 1 (Fastboot Installation)
1. Go to the fastboot mode.
2. Download the pbrp-2.9.0-build-02.img and transfer it to the adb folder (rename is optional for simplicity).
3. Open the cmd/terminal and change directory into the adb folder.
4. Now confirm/check that device is connected by typing:-

fastboot devices
If you got your device seriel number there then you are ready to continue otherwise try connecting device again and make sure USB debugging is on and you have granted permission to the PC to debug.
5. After that we will flash this PBRP recovery to the recovery partition by below command:-

fastboot flash recovery pbrp-2.9.0-build-02.img
BooM ! PBRP flashed successfully.
Method 2 (TWRP Installation)
1. As far i know there is an official twrp. If you have it installed in your device, then this is just a piece of cake
2. Flash PitchBlack-Armor_6-2.9.0-20190716-1537-UNOFFICIAL.zip from twrp.
3. It will reboot to recovery automatically after that.
BooM ! PBRP flashed successfully.

I can confirm it works on the Ulefone Armor 6 for me. I just tried it and works perfectly.

Flashing Instructions
Make sure you have fastboot drivers installed and your bootloader is unlocked
Download the file
In fastboot open the directory of downloaded file and type
fastboot flash recovery marino_twrp-treble.img, after that type
fastboot oem reboot-recovery, You'll have a black screen on your display wait for 5-10s you'll be greeted with TWRP screen if you still didn't get the screen then press power button 2-3 times
BUGS
Data decryption ( For this you need to select Wipe -> format data (You'll lose all your data in this process) )
No Battery% ( I purposefully disabled it as the battery% always stays at 50%)
MTP (Can use adb push, adb pull and adb shell to manage)
