Do you have the fire hose programmer? You need a specific edl cable there isn't even diagrams of recent samsung phones for pin outs. What are you trying to do?

Hello, thanks for the reply, actually i was able to put it in diag mode and connect to qfil and backup qcn, i am trying to convert a demo into a working phone. I can edit qcn and flash back with no errors but it does not change the imei. Any suggestions? Thanks

You can't imei is cert file written specific to that device. Your not gonna get much help on here. With imei related stuff. Even if you do write a iemi the cert will fail and it will refuse signal.

How did you get it into diag mode? I am working on something similar and can keep you updated of any progress

Hello fellow android users, I am trying to use QPST to repair a bad IMEI on a LG G4 H810. Stock rom, no root.
After alot of trial and error i've (almost) done it. QPST reads the device as a phone (MSM8994). I am able to backup the QCN file without any errors. Then I am able to use Ultra Edit to change the IMEI in the correct flipped format. Afterwards when i try to use QPST to restore the QCN file it gets to 23% then says its unable to write to device.
I am reaching out on this forum for help. Any and all would be much appreciated.
UPDATE: I know it has to be an issue with the device not allowing QPST to write. I read somewhere you have to switch the phone into DIAG mode to allow QPST to write. There isn't a DIAG mode on the G4. Not even in the hidden menu from what i can see. Thank you all for any help!

Disconnect your phone
1) go to the dialer and type 277634#*#
2)tap "Port Check Test"
3) Tap "Port Check Test"
Now connect it to the computer

Chances are slim then. Try holding power button for about 10 seconds to make it turn off, then press power+volume down and hold it for a few seconds. Also try power+volume up button combo, I don't know if it would open something or not but you can try.

Unfortunately on this device, if you can't get to the bootloader and access fastboot, you are pretty much screwed. There is no download or emergency recovery mode I am aware of, so if you overwrote the bootloader you probably need to send it to Moto for reflashing/replacement or send it to a JTAG programming service.

I'm not sure what your asking for... Never heard of raw program for this device, the only thing available is the fastboot images for each partition.
Can you provide a link to the software your talking about?

Ahhh... OK. To my knowledge there are no directly compatible images for QPST for the Moto G 3rd gen.
On the good side, according to this article, QPST flashes seem to use dd images of partitions, and the factory images available from Moto contain those img files!
If you find a flashable file for XXX device that works with QPST and compare it with the Moto factory images, you may be able to find a working solution... or at least enough to get the bootloader working. If you can get the bootloader to load, you can fastboot flash the rest of it.
EDIT: BTW, if I can be of assistance, let me know. I have a working, stock XT1540 with an unlocked bootloader that is not a daily driver phone, so I can play with it (although I would REALLY like to not brick it). Also, if you can come up with an unbrick for this device and share it here, I am sure your 9 posts and 1 thanks would jump significantly and quite quickly.
Hi my name is Miguel and im new to xda and i have a serious problem so i bought my phone and i was using it a mp3 and stuff since i live over seas i tried to region unlock it and in the process bam phone restarted and nothing but a black screen i plug in my phone to my charger nothing happens i plug it in to my pc something happens but not on the phone but on the pc it started downloading drivers i can tell you what the bubble said because i came to europe for vacation and im staying here for a while but a friend of mine said your phone lost his boot-up and it wont do anything unless you buy a medusabox and get all the files im buying the medusabox or whatever but where can i get the files from he told me you need 4 files with ones are they any ideas?
What were you doing to region unlock it?
If you hold down the bixby, power, and volume down buttons, can you get into download mode?
I too am in a similar situation. Not trying to highjack the thread at all however I believe it's what they call EDL (Emergency Download Mode). Mine is in Qdloader 9008 but cannot use QFIL to flash it so stuck with this brick for now. The files, I have some XMLs and supposedly the programer but they haven't worked for me at all.
Good luck, please advise if you ever fix it cause I have faith and hope its just a matter of time i can unbrick mine.

Im trying to use medusabox which is what people use to recognize qualcomm mode i just need the file to install the bootloader to get it into download mode any ideas if i can get them from another s8+
The file that ur looking for isn't apart of the stock firmware? BL,AP,CP,CSC, and PIT. I think the one ur looking for is BL for bootloader. You shouldn't need a box to recognize 9008, this is something ur phone should do automatically when u plug it in while hard bricked thought that all of the boxes were made to be able to flash ur device while in EDL mode?

This is very old but no all bricks dont leave in edl the devices also have groind points. All of us that tested the edl repair use qfil or the recovery script which i use on mine. You need a bit more than just the bootloader for repair. A whole barrage of sperate partitions as well as the programmer xml

I was trying to flash the official firmware again on my a51 but i accidently put the a20e on it, i was distracted, i have almost 30gb of different firmware downloaded and i chose the wrong one by distraction... i feel so stupid right now... this never happened to me before... what should i do? is there any way to fix it? even if i have to buy a new piece of hardware of storage or wtv piece i need to replace

Doesnt work, the device is completely dead.. so neither bootloader, neither download mode, neither fastboot will work..
I have been researching about EDL mode (emergency download mode) and its the only thing i managed to do, by shorting the testing points of the device.
But i dont know what tool should i use while on EDL mode, odin doesnt read my device on edl mode

Have you tried smart switch ?
Im gonna try that, didnt know that had a firmware flashing feature.

It didnt work, that tool its not for flashing that way.

My only hope of getting it back is booting into EDL and blankflashing the device... problem is, I can't find a way to do so. Does anybody here know how to enter EDL mode with this phone? I've tried several button combinations, EDL cable, but nothing works. The only thing I've left to try is shortening the mobo pins, but I don't know which ones, let alone if the board even has them.

I have a super easy solution. Go to the Google app store. And download the premium bugjaeger app on a different Android device so basically you're using another Android device to run fastboot commands just remember with Android 11 make sure you give both devices debugging access

If you can access fastboot.. try "fastboot reboot emergency"
I know this is prob too late for a suggestion, however have you tried chimera tool to bypass the edl lock? You don't have to pay for that part of the tool

Thanks for suggestion.. It is not too late. Have not tried that tool, so i will do a test when i have the chance to do that. Phone is still bricked.

I'm still trying to unbrick mine as well lol so I'll keep you posted and please try to keep me posted as well.... I haven't tried my own suggestion as of yet due to my PC dying on me.... I'll have a loaner so I'll be trying it then

Did you get phone unbricked ?
