ONE UI CUSTOM FONTS
Detailed Guide and Troubleshooter
Google Fonts
May 20231) Download and install the official Samsung Sans system font from the Galaxy Store. This is the non-modified version for creating the initial backup. Once installed, manually change your system font to Samsung Sans from Display > Font Settings.
2) In Samsung Cloud, create a backup of only the settings while your font is set to Samsung Sans. The first two steps only need to be done once for all subsequent custom fonts.
3) Uninstall or update over the old Samsung Sans font with the new custom zFont Samsung Sans font file which contains the font you want to change to. This uses the same package name (com.monotype.android.font.samsungsans) as the official font to trick cloud into thinking it's legit.
zFont 3 Download: Click Here
Attached are 3 font APK files that can be directly installed onto your device for use with this workaround. If you use these files you don't need to install zFont. Google Sans Regular and Bold (can only have 1 or the other installed at 1 time). Product Sans Black.
NOTE: There's also an option to use other fonts in zFont instead of Samsung Sans, but if you choose those, you'll have to create a new backup with the official version of that font selected.
4) Change your system font to "Default" prior to final step. This is IMPORTANT.
NOTE: Your custom font should be present within your font list after installation. When updating custom fonts, it might appear as if the correct font is already selected but your new font won't actually become active until you refresh it by unselecting and reselecting the font which requires the Samsung Cloud workaround since you can't select a modified font manually from the font menu or you'll get an error.
5) In Samsung Cloud, select the option to restore. Uncheck all options except "Settings" to restore only the settings that you backed up in step #2. While it's restoring, you'll see the text on the screen update to your target custom font prior to reaching 100% complete if it's successful. Once the restoration is finished, you'll get a dialog popup asking if you want to delete old backups, select the NO response so the backup can be used for future fonts.
6) Verify everything worked correctly by opening your font settings and making sure your font has changed from "Default" to the custom font you installed in step #3. Once verified, restart your device to apply the new font system wide.
NOTE: Not all text will be replaced with your updated font until after a system reboot. If your font is still set to Default, restarting your device won't change anything. Continue to the troubleshooting steps below if you're positive you performed all these steps correctly.Subsequent UpdatesTo update your font while a backup of the device's settings is already created (with the correct font file selected per step #2), just update custom font file, change font to default, restore settings, restart device (or just start at step #3). No need to create a new backup everytime you load a new font unless the original backup was lost.TROUBLESHOOTINGSamsung Cloud custom font workaround will not work if you debloated your system applications. Samsung Cloud relies on several pre-installed applications to restore all settings back to its former backed up state, especially fonts since it seems like getting the font to restore is the toughest setting to fix if debloated. I'm not sure 100% exactly which applications affect this, but I've narrowed it down to Samsung apps that are capable of being backed up within Samsung Cloud.MUST BE INSTALLED AND ENABLED

Hi,
I am trying to modify the icon size of apps and number of icons which are shown on the home screen of my Phone.
I found that changing ro.sf.lcd_density in build.prop affects the complete system and it also not useful to change the size of icons shown on home screen.
I tried to change the android:maxRows="3" android:maxItemsPerRow="3" android:maxItems="6" in framework-res.apk package by following the advice given here. However it did not help me either.
Above method included retrieving of framework-res.apk, modifying the contents from layout-port directory, creating the zip and installing it. Which I did successfully without any error.
Currently I have 4x4 settings for the home screen, i.e. I can have maximum 16 icons on the Home page; and for example, I want to change it to 3x2 so that there can be only 9 icons on the home screen.
I also want to customize the icon sizes.
How can I do by modifying framework-res.apk or some other package from existing ROM?
Just to make sure: I don't want to install new application or theme, rather want to understand how it is done.
The device I work on has ICS installed. (I am using ICS Arco's CM9 for Samsung Galaxy S plus device)
Same here, but a little different
i'd like to know if it's possible to change to a 5x5 icon layout. had Android Revolution 5.1 and noticed on install that it gave that option. however, i just went back to stock rom so i can get my KitKat update. if it is possible, will i be able to do it on KitKat?

Install apex launcher there you get many options to change grid size which will in turn allow you to have 5x5 grid
Hi,
- I've rooted my one+ One phone and have TWRP installed.
- I'm running Cyanogenmod 12.1. (Android 5.1.1)
- I have Xposed installed and Ifont with it's per-app module activated in Xposed.
I'm trying to do two things: 1. Change the system font. 2. Once the system font is changed, change the clock font back to the factory font.
Using Ifont, I successfully change the system font. However, I am unsuccessful at changing the clock font back to default android font or any other fonts without soft-bricking the phone after reboot. In Ifont, I go to per-app function. I select the clock app and change the font family to the default android font. But once I reboot, the phone gets stuck at the Cyangenmod boot logo. Luckily, I have a back up which I restore afterwards. I have tried with the google clock app as well as the Chronus widget.
Could anyone help me achieve this step by step or is this not possible to do. I have tried different things I found on the internet but none work or don't apply to me.
Thank you very much.
Hello everyone,
I share with the forum, after many hours of trial and error, the port of Nemoid ROM (original for the Galaxy V), based on Stock ROM and fully functional for Galaxy Young 2.
Being based on Stock ROM, it has not any bugs and works swimmingly for everything I could try.
NOTE: The ROM is tested in GALAXY SM-G130HN not Dual SIM, I do not know if it works on other models, although I suppose. Tests on devices other than single SIM 130HN RUN FOR YOUR ACCOUNT.
Do not ask if it's for this or that model, I do not know it and I can not prove it, but I imagine so, because the ROM only modifies the “/system” directory, containing only applications, libraries and media, do not touch anything about Modem, RIL, etc.
NOTE: The ROM includes the rooted kernel for the 130HN. If your model is different, it is not advisable to flash it. Edit the ROM ZIP and remove the file "boot.img" of it.
THANKS:
- DEVELOPER ROM: cleverior, you can see the original ROM post on these links for ROM and her blog:

ROM SCREENSHOTS:
You can see them all in the links for the original ROM and blog creator
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ORIGINAL ROM:
You can see them all in the links for the original ROM and blog creator
FEATURES ADDED TO THE ORIGINAL ROM:
- Advanced Reset Menu
- Settings for blocking unwanted calls and messages
- Xposed and Xperia Navbar to customize the navigation bar
- Changed the theme of the checkboxes
- Added many more ringtones and notifications
- Included “Volume +” as sound manager, configurable through the audio menu, if you choose it instead of MusicFX (in original ROM)
- Added font selection in the menu for customizing the ROM
- Added Backgrounds application in the ROM customization menu, to choose from more than 10,000 wallpapers for the desktop
- Background gradient, plus the original Contextual background, for the header in the notification panel in the ROM customization menu
- Included Nova Launcher apart of the original one, to choose on both at the first start
- Samsung keyboard included, apart of the original one in ROM (Google keyboard)
- Changed the wallpaper, as the colors of the original one hidden taskbar icons
CHARACTERISTICS ELIMINATED FROM THE ORIGINAL ROM:
- Removed the Messenger application, gives continued FC
- Removed Google Camera and Gallery by Stock ones, they gave FC
BUGS:
- In the first start, when configuring the phone, you may receive some SysteUI failure, do not worry about, accept and the mistake will not repeat again
- Being based on Stock, I have not detected any more bugs. If you detect any one, post it in order to fix.
INSTALLATION:
ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR INSTALLED ROM , I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTS THAT MAY BE OCUUR
- It is not a priority to be ROOT if you are flashing the kernel included (it is rooted), but it is necessary to have installed a custom recovery to install the ROM, preferably TWRP to avoid installation problems.
TWRP for Galaxy 130HN
- Preferably to have installed any version of Stock ROM, to avoid problems with the modem, CSC, RIL, etc.
- Copy ROM zip to external SD
- Restart in the custom recovery installed (again, preferably TWRP). To access the recovery, the typical combo key “Volume UP + Home + Start”
- Choose the zip in the installation menu to start the installation
- The ROM is installed with Aroma, follow the steps of Installer:
- Recommended to select to back up the EFS partition, just in case of any problem
- Select “Safe Format” to remove your original data from ROM
- You can choose between two types of off-screen animation, "Horizontal or Vertical CRT" (the CyanogenMod style). Both options also include the "Fade" animation
- Continue the process until you finish the installation.
- At the end of this, do not restart the system
- Back in recovery, clean the Cache and Dalvik
- Reboot and enjoy
NOTES AFTER INSTALLATION:
- SCREEN OFF ANIMATION
In Build.prop, CRT animation is enabled by default (either that you have chosen vertical or horizontal)
If you want to change it to fade or turn it off, you must edit the build.prop with the browser included in the ROM and change the following lines:
persist.sys.screen_off = fade (if you want to Fade)
persist.sys.screen_off = off (if you do not want any animation)
- NAVIGATION BAR
It is disabled by default, if you prefer to use MiPop instead of the traditional bar (you can not activate both at once). If you are not going to use MiPop and want to use the navigation bar, edit the build.prop and edit the line:
qemu.hw.mainkeys = 0 (to activate the navigation bar)
If you want to customize the navbar, in the settings menu you will have to activate the Xperia Navbar and Xposed module (you will be asked to restart).
In the customization menu of the ROM, there is the access to Xperia Navbar, to customize it as you like ( "Navigation Bar")

My sim is not working on SM-g130HN model. Any idea why? I tried other custom roms and it is the same.
I do not know why, but it sounds laike a problem with your unit. Have you choosed the single SIM build.prop in the installation? I have installed a lot of custom roms in my phone without any problem with my phone.
Does the SIM work with stock roms?, Is your unit unlocked or locked to a propietary carrier?

It worked on stock rom. How to choose single sim build.prop? Seemed to miss this during the instalation.
The installtion is trough Aroma Installe, so I do not know how you jumped that step. In the screen where you have to choose to exit the installation or going on with it, if you choose to go on, the next screen let you to choose between to install single SIM build.prop or dual SIM build.prop, that is the place where you can choose it.
After installing, do not reboot, just clear Dalvik and Cache. Give us your feed back

Unfortunately, it does not work. I have picked the single sim option, and i get the "no sim insert sim card" notification. Since I have tried several roms already, it's safe to assume it is the phone's issue. Thanks anyway.
Surely for your symptoms. I believe the phone is locked

Enable (or disable if already enabled) Secure Startup in settings, reboot the phone and try installing the APK again
Should work after that

Weird, my phone doesn't show an option for Secure Startup in my settings. I know where it should be, and it only has options for encrypting my device and sd. Is there anything else I can try?

If you have rooted it then it disappears, secure startup is the only known workaround to install updated system apks
Choice would be to flash the same stock ROM again over the top to remove root, which would also fix the wallpaper picker, long as you choose HOME_CSC and not just CSC in ODIN nothing will be lost
HOME_CSC = No Wipe
CSC = Wipe
Try: Settings - Apps - press the three dots in the right upper conner - System apps - Wallpapers
FORCE STOP - Storage - CLEAR CACHE - CLEAR DATA

Nevermind, got it. Curious as to how you were able to find the exact file out of all of the disabled ones though.
What is the default font that came factory installed? How can we restore back to factory one?
anyone know how to get iOS emojis without breaking the normal font?
edit: zfont and the iOS emoji pack it comes with ended up working

How to create one apk with some font file (package with fonts)?
Like all in samsung store ( https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/download-different-font-on-my-samsung-phone/ )
it does not work any more, with one UI 5.1 and mono v2.1,because samsung has deleted the “Sumsung Sans” font in his own app store. so if we use this app and try to install other font,it will say "not support this font", f**k smasung.
June 5 2023 - Using S22 Ultra OneUI 5.1 with all latest software and latest security update, confirmed zFont 3 still works perfectly.
The only problem is if you debloated your system , you need to rebloat it in order to use the custom font trick through Samsung Cloud. Just learned that the only system application that is required during restore process to work is Bixby Settings (Installed and Enabled).
Works like a charm.
Edit: Can confirm the only system application that needs to be rebloated is Bixby Settings 'com.samsung.android.app.settings.bixby' .. must be installed and enabled.
