Hello
If I have a u.s samsung that doesn't allow
Bootloader unlocking
But I looked inside the build.prop
And it has the line of ro. Oem unlocking =1
The 1 means it's allowed right ? So
In theory if that is already set
All I need is to have the developer options show me the oem unlocking tick right
With that said could I just replace the sec settings.apk with another from another country and put in mine as long as it's android 13 and from samsung
Put it inside the firmware
Flash the firmware through odin
I shouldn't get an error because it's all stock and signed by samsung then I should be able to get it back in developer options
But I also think I read something that stated that developer options ( oem unlocking ) has to be enabled from the bools.xml file inside the decompiled framework-res.apk
Am I crazy or does this sound like it would work ???? Please help

I just recieved my phone and before I installed anything, I was going thru it and saw that it has the option to enable oem unlock? Anyone else get this or able to further a rooting process since it has it enabled?
OEM unlock in the settings just sets a bit in frp partition.
This would allow you to unlock the bootloader IF you could
1) access the bootloader in the first place
2) it would have the necessary commands available
2a) fastboot oem unlock (android standard)
2b) fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin (or so, for LG) with the unlock.bin provided by lg, generated by device id and imei (aka needs to be whitelisted by them)
on the sd845 devices, those that flash an engineering bootloader from someone with an octoplus box, use 2a because thats available there (after they had to wipe laf to enter fastboot)
but for that to try you would need
1) someone with an octoplux box, capable of flashing to sd855 LG devices
2) some leaked engineering bootloader (or create your own via reverse engineering, but one wrong step here, and brick basically)
I appreciate the return and detailed response. I am moving from the samsung galaxy s8 active to this V50. So I got excited about seeing the enable oem switch in developers mode, being that the s8 doesnt even display it. I miss being able to tinker with a device since the nexus 5x. This one is a beaut tho. So we'll see if life can adjust to it. the S8 was good, overall, for what it was. But having a secure, or at least ipi68+mil std, is not for one who enjoys to tinker. You mentioned about LG whitlisting it. Is there such a way to have that requested, or is it a result of a form of consequence?
Hello, I was wondering if there's any root available for the T-mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy J7.
I've searched online and CF auto root may work but it requires OEM unlock to be enabled in developer settings. This option is missing on my phone and I tried the date trick already.
I'm assuming this phone bootloader is permanently locked if that's the case.

Samsung N975F OEM unlocks not showing, I have a UAE model and I have tried everything to show OEM unlock date and time flashing but not working at all, I have installed android 11 with binary 7. please suggest me a way to show it or any other way to repair IMEI.
To repair IMEI an Android device's bootloader must NOT be unlocked, but its Android must be rooted.

Thanks man but unfortunately I tried this as well, I don't have the third option for unlocking, all I have in recovery is cancel and continue, holding volume up doesn't do anything
Hello ? Can someone tell me at least if it's doable ?
Someone ?
I've been in the same boat for a couple of months now. It seems that Samsung does not allow this option in the UI (or anywhere else I can find for that matter) for Qualcomm versions. Hopefully someone will come up with a proper hack soon because the bloatware on s10e is just disgustingly invasive and desktop mode is definitely lacking compared with Linux alternatives.
Greetings,
I'm really frustrated trying different methods online to show the hidden "OEM unlock" in developers menu, but without avail. Anyone can help to root this mobile?

To root a phone's Android unlocking its bootloader is NOT required.
You simply have to add SU binary to Android's filesystem and make this binary executable.
I want to oem unlock bootloader for trwp and roms but I can't find oem unlock in dev settings and tried the video above and a couple of other things I found
You need the Samsung flash tool and the version of android for the phone and su +twep+magisk is optional good luck
Ps. Allways back up everything!

And I'm fixing the Samsung flash tool is PC only correct? My **** got stolen like a few weeks ago so I'm trying to figure out how to do this **** without a computer and it's a pain in the ass pretty much impossible.
I am having this issue and can't find a resolution for it anywhere.
Boost Galaxy a13 5g android 12:
No OEM unlock switch available...
The trick changing the date doesn't work at all...
I am not trying to flash custom ROM, just to tweak the system kernal settings.
I seen someone mentioned to root w/o the OEM unlocking switch available, all that is needed is to flash the SU binary with Odin.. I haven't tried this yet but I am almost positive Odin for windows doesn't even read the Samsung devices without the bootloader being unlocked.
Anyone care to chime in here? i'd be very appreciative!
Mainly WTF is the OEM unlock switch not available on my device. I actually have 2 of the same devices and both are without the switch.
Also would flashing SU work and do the trick?
Any other useful information you could send my way would be really helpful too.
Maybe who's find how to unlock bootloader on this device after July update?
