Status Bar Icon 4G/LTE on Data Turned Off - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Hello!
Guys, I have a problem on my Poco, since MIUI version 13 (now updated to Miui 14), my status bar keeps showing a 4G/LTE icon on the cell signal, even with mobile data turned off.
And that's really annoying because you don't know when you're using 4G/LTE or not. From what I've researched, it could be a bug exclusive to the Poco X3, did it happen to anyone else? Do you know how to resolve if it is a Miui bug?
I already tried a factory reset, when I updated I did that, and it still didn't fix it.

Network Indicators issue

My internet works properly when using apps manually but I don't get push notifications from any app. My network indicator remains orange even when net is working. When I connect to WiFi, I immediately start getting all the push notifications and my indicator turns white. What do I do?

More info on your Android OS: are you rooted? What version of Android do you run?
Also, what fixes did you try already? (Reboot? Factory reset?)

Hrazib, things have changed in Lollipop. It no more shows Edge icon. If you are not connected to either wi-fi or mobile data then it shows exclamation mark next to the network icon and in case you are connected either to wi-fi or mobile data then it doesn't show that exclamation mark. Check this link http://www.solvemix.com/index.php/android-smartphones/228-android-lollipop-in-status-bar-meaning. Hope this helps .
Cell Data issue
Well I have a strange issue, Im unable to connect to Cell Data (Opened a new thread) & there is an exclamation mark for WiFi but it still works.
It's only on Indian version
You are using XT1033 Indian version, right? I don't kno if it is a feature or bug. Anyway H/H+/E icons are still there in Brazil version. And that exclamation thing doesn't work properly. It was really annoying. So I switched back to Brazil version.
I had it the symbolswhen i updated it for around two days and it automatically switched off once and then itwas gone. Now i have just got the exclamation mark.
Thnx for help, i got the solutions for my problem in xt1033. Now in network bar it shows E/H/H+ icon. In dual Sim, i just changes mobile internet from one sim to another and that works.

Use data, then search google chrome, clear the option to restrict data in the background. I did it in the cell of my sister and adjusted.

[Q] CM 12.1 - Phone wont switch from Wifi to mobile data

My phone won't switch from Wifi back to mobile data when I disable Wifi or move out of range. Mobile bar shows an Exclamation mark. I can make phones calls however. Cycling Airplane mode fixes the issue. This has been a problem for me on all cm 12.1 nightlies up to and including cm-12.1-20150527. No issues with OxygenOS. I have triple checked the mobile APN and it's correct(Same APN as OxygenOS).
Has anyone else experienced this?
Did you manage to solve this?
I still ave the same problem today. I need to go to mobile networks and then Network operators and choose my operator manually. Then it works. I have had it on all roms. I have got it to work a few times, but mostly not. I flash quite many roms...
If wonder if we are the only ones who has this problem?
/ks

Having lots of issues with cell connectivity

So recently I've been having a lot of issues with my cell reception. Randomly during the day I would completely lose my reception. However the icon in the status bar will show I got a full connection. Mobile data works. But I will be unable to receive / make calls or text messages. A reboot will fix this. I've had this issue ever since an ota update from sultanrom. I've since tried flashing the stock ROM back but it happens on there as well. I'm currently on the latest sultan mm version. But this used to happen on his lollipop version as well It mostly seems to happen when charging my phone. I've tried different firmwares and modems but the issue is still there. This is a big problem because I've gone for 10+ hours several times without any cell reception thinking all was fine because the status bar shows a full connection. Has anyone else had this issue? I really need to get this sorted as it makes my phone unable to do the most basic things a phone should be doing.

Ulefone Armor 8 Pro - strange data bahaviour

Hi, recently I bought Ulefone Armor 8 Pro for my wife, and there is a strange problem with it. When she enables the GSM data, ther switch lights up, but there is not internet connection (also the arrows near the signal icon do not appear). She then has to go to connection settings, and change the preferred network from 4G to 3G. It then starts to work fine, but when she disables the data for the night, and enables it the next morning, there is no internet again. She then has to go to the settings again, and change the preference back to 4G, and it starts working until she turns the data off.
Turning the data off and on again after a short time does not cause any issues.
If the data starts working, the network preference can be changed around and everything keeps working. The issue appears only after disabling the data for a long time (I don't know how much).
I filed a problem report with Ulefone a week ago, but they didn't answer. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
I have also this model, and no problems.
Check if there are any ROM updates available.
