Question Custom Roms in unsuported countries - Google Pixel 7 Pro

Hello folks, there's any custom Roms that unlock 5g on unsuported countries or this only can be possible with magisk modules?

crDroid will unlock 4g, not sure about 5g as I need to get into town for that to work. It works. I think most custom roms do it.

StagOS did not, just a heads up.

Any update on this post

crDroid all functions work in China, cannot tell you about other places. Though with the may stock update 4g started working here for some reason, but I don't think VoLTE was working or wifi calling.

International S7, T-Mobile's wifi calling and VOLTE, and custom ROMs

I'm about to pull the trigger on buying the S7 and (thanks to this forum) have researched the (T-mobile) "carrier" version with SnapDragon processor vs. the International non-carrier version with Exynos processor. Seems like the latter is generally preferred, with 2 drawbacks:
1) Not compatible with T-Mobile's wifi calling;
2) No VOLTE
My only remaining questions are:
1) It seems as though with most unlocked / non-carrier smartphone models, custom ROMs are usually made available that enable carrier-specific features, but it seems like no such ROMs have yet been developed and widely circulated to enable T-Mobile's wifi calling or VOLTE. Is it typically just a matter of WHEN, rather than IF, such ROMs usually get into circulation? IOW, even though I'll be without those features on the Exynos S7 for now, can I buy the phone with confidence that in the not too distant future there SHOULD be a ROM to enable these? (Wifi calling is actually rather important to me since my gf's apt is a dead zone.)
2) Can someone ELI5 VOLTE to me? I'm still note entirely sure what it is / does, and want to evaluate how much I should care if my Exynos S7 doesn't support this...
Exynos does support volte. I am using it and it works fine.

Would you mind explaining how you got it working? Did you have to do anything other than change your CSC? I changed my CSC to T-Mobile US and I now have the option to enable wifi calling, however when I turn it on it just hangs there saying 'Enabling'.

Did you change it with that CSC changer v1.7?
That is really all I did. Install n7 rom then change CSC to TMB.

Yep that's what I used. I did a clean install of the SuperMan rom and used CSC changer again...same issue, it hangs at Enabling. Even went back to stock rom and it does the same thing.
Finally, I installed the Note 7 OnTheEdge rom like you said and it appears to be working, I now see the wifi calling notification at the top left and I get the volte icon when i'm not connected to wifi. I wonder if anyone has been able to get it to work on other roms?

I've only tried it on n7rom mentioned above. Guess it has to do with the rom since not working in Superman rom.

It works now. I do super man rom. Search that thread how to do it. You have to flash zto csc then boot then flash TMB csc. Then Switch a couple toggles.

Anybody got OpenKirin ROMs work with the chinese models?

Mine is the FRD-AL10C00B535. I tried flashing LineageOS Beta 3 last month but I couldn't get the cellular network working. The devs said it's an issue caused by the chinese phones' modem or something like that. They can't fix this problem cuz they don't have a chinese model to work with.
Bump
None of OpenKirin's ROMS supports LTE for AL10. Donate them your phone and maybe they will add support.

Get Tmobile VoLTE on SM-G955F ?

Quick question.
Have a Exynos Unlocked S8 Plus from awhile back. In the past there were modified CSC 's we could flash that ported T-Mobile features such as VoLTE and WiFi calling onto the device even though its an international device. Is that still possible on Android 9.0 or Pie if I update the device ? It is rooted and has TWRP installed.
Since T-Mobile is deactivating a lot of their 2G and 3G networks. VoLTE is increasingly important. Let me know. Thanks!

5G issue

Hello,
I just flashed my Oneplus 8T using the latest SW lineage-18.1-20210520-nightly-kebab-signed by DoubleClickFlasher method. The ROM is ok, I m testing it. I have an issue to have access to the 5G:
1) I tested with 2 SIMs (France - Bouygues and Orange)
2) with the original Oneplus ROM , I had the 5G network
3) I activated the 5G in the network menu (NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA), also with the code *#*#3646#*#*
Result => the phone never changes in 5G, it stays always in 4G (I m sure that the area where I m testing has 5G coverage)
Any tip or solution for my issue?
Thanks
Rom specific issues are probably best answered in that ROMs thread
[ROM][OFFICIAL][kebab][11] LineageOS 18.1
Yaay. The thread is back. :D

Otherwise it would appear that many people have issues with the radio and bands when flashing 3rd party ROMs

Question What custom ROMs support 5G in Thailand?

hello everyone and thanks in advance for replying this thread.
I’m finding custom ROM that support 5G in Thailand and if possible, would like it to be custom ROM that not conflict with banking application.
5g is provided by your mobile operator not custom rom. If there is no 5g in your country than custom rom will not help you

Internet provider in my country is provided 5G but Google Pixel isn’t officially released in the Thailand country so Google Pixel can't use 5G in normal way, there are only 2 ways to use 5G in unsupported countries 1.root 2.custom ROM, so I'm looking for a custom ROM that support 5G in Thailand.
crDroid seems to have 5G enabled in unsupported countries. StagOS too. Other ROMs could have it enabled too.
It would also be possible to apply those tweaks to do the same using Magisk, on any ROM.

This is great news. I was looking for this for a long time. Custom ROM enabling 5G in Unsupported countries!!!!
Yes, there are manual ways to enable 5G in unsupported countries, but adding this custom ROM is next level.
