Replace the display.
Always use a good case like the Zizo Bolt otherwise this phone will get damaged.

The price of the screen is very high, my brother, and I cannot buy it. Is there an alternative way to fix it?

Replace the whole phone. At least you could use the old one maybe for some parts in the future.
Unfortunately there's no way to repair a AMOLED display as it is comprised of thousands of semiconductors in its matrix that controls the individual OLEDs. The touch screen circuitry was also damaged.

This phone won't survive without a good case. Not much help now, but bear that in mind if you replace it or haven't damaged it yet. With no case they are harder to hold too... slippery fish.
There's almost zero bezel... and the only thing they do more than corner hit when dropped is face plant on the display side. The spen corner seems to take more hits than the other corners too.

[Q] Cracked Screen

Hello world
My dad dropped his DHD on stone floor , face down, screen now looks like WW2
Well, my question is, is it possible to replace the screen yourself or does it involve a series of special tools and fingerbreaking moves?
Thank you.
You can do it yourself look HERE It's not too hard,

Very easy if you order plastic frame/digitzer / screen all togother like this, needed about 9 screw removing and lift out the "motherboard" with all wires on

This link is just a example. you will be expected to pay around £50-60.
buying glass screen only is false encomny, as you will break LCD and frame in process.
better off replace the whole thing.
Hope this help you. :good:
honestly buying the whole lcd is a better idea but not the only idea, if u have the tools and the knw how and most importantly the patience to seperate the LCD from the chassis and thn the touch screen from the digitizer thn u can replace only the glass which will cost u about 10- 20n pounds but it will have the signs of replacement but if u dont want the hassle or dnt care abt the money and want ur phone to look new as never touched thn buying the whole lcd is a better option P.S : Saying this coz i tried to change the glass ended up damaging the chassis as well as the digitiser:silly:
Ive done a few different handsets and once you've done one they are pretty easy, just take your time and dont rush
have to help my friends DHD with this

Chrome / Metal Band GS5 Sprint

I hate to say that I have christened my Sprint Galaxy S5 by dropping it WITHOUT a case. Almost 3 months without incident!! When it dropped the bottom right hand corner specifically the chrome band around the phone is dinged. My question is does anybody know if there is a way to replace JUST that band, and if it is possible where to get it? Pictures to follow later tonight!

Wholly moly! That looks the like pretty much the housing assembly correct? Do you know of a site that sells, and the difficulties of swapping?
I thanked you, but just want to say thank you as well!

I buy the parts direct from china, not too sure about any online site, i'm sure some does sell it, also updated with a tear down link.
Thanks again!
Here's the part you'll need:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/351070105491
I work for a repair shop and we get parts from these guys, so I can without a doubt vouch for the quality, price, and shipping time.
As for replacing it.... Good luck, you'll need it. The only way into the S5 is behind the screen which must be removed to open it up. It's glued down with superSam****adhesive so more likely than not you'll end up breaking the display or separating the display from the glass. If your screen is fine, it's not worth the cost of replacing your entire display just to replace the midframe.
Just in case, here's a display w/ the home button flex: http://www.ebay.com/itm/351067874432
also need to buy the panel sticker adhesive and the display rim adhesive.
I got all these stuff apart from the panel adhesive, but traded my S5 yesterday for a Tab S 8.4.:fingers-crossed:
Thanks guys for your help! After looking at everything needed to be done I think you guys are right, I will just live with the nicks I have, and since they are a bit sharp, i'll use a dremel on low speed to grind down a little. Like I said thanks again for the eye opener!!!! LoL:cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:

Screen "bubble"

Thanks in advance for anyone that happens to read and/or respond this thread.
So, my S7 slipped and fell to the floor last sunday. It didn't fall a great distance, neither did it hit the floor with violence. But on the bottom of the screen something appeared, seeming like "a bubble of air".

Should I send it to Samsung? Did I lose my water/dust resistance? And, most important, should I worry about it?
Thanks again.

Hi Mate
On top of the amoled screen is a layer of glass , it seem it broke or it detached ( cant distinguish ) , that glass is part of the water resistance scheme , most like it is compromise , I do not know is warranty will cover it.......if i am not wrong in order to fix it they will have to replace the whole display

Yeah, I mean, that's what I fear. Should I take it to Samsung?
hey bro ,
first of all i feel your pain :silly::silly:
second of all i think if you take it to Samsung they will replace the screen so you're going to lose the water/dust resistance anyways (cuz we all know that if the screen is replaced the resistance won't be as good as new at all )
so i recommend you to keep it like that and just buy a good protective case so it won't get worse if you drop it again
hope i helped

Happened with my S6 as well, I think the layer indeed got loose there (prolly it will gather some dust and stuff).
In my case it didn;t really seem to spread further, but as it is the result of dropping it I guess you'll have to pay to fix it (for me not worth it as it was about half the price of the phone).

Mate it all depends on the cost of the fixing....if is free or cheap enough i would do it...if done by Samsung....if is too expensive i would think about it

Space between glass and the metal case

My model is SM-G950FD, everything OK but i disappointed in the screen/glass quality. I can insert two note (polymer). This is an image with only one note

What about your device?

For me it all, in 4 round it widest. Samsung service ignore me to exchange, they say it is in factory standard.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/help/gaps-device-collecting-debris-t3602511
same, gaps on the sidenot too much of a problem for me, its the gap at the top and bottom which is collecting dirt that is the problem on mine.
Makes you wonder if youd still trust taking it in the water.
I've heard it's ventilation for heat. The G6 has em as well.
This is normal. Read your manuals people...
It says variations and gaps on sides are expected, and will have no effect on the handset.
Mass production tolerances.
You feel like these manufacture variances maintain the water resistance still?

I do. They wouldn't allow a tolerance that didn't. You wouldn't set a tolerance that would compromise the specs.

Yeah I guess that seems true enough, just seems weird that it has such a large gap, liquid can certainly get in there and just sit between the glass and metal.

Very true. I think it's the adhesive that performs the waterproofing magic though. No doubt a tighter tolerance would be preferable.

Inner screen protector failure.

All of the sudden this morning started peeling off from the center. There is hard bump under this spot from day 1 when you fully open the hinge. Now what? Remove completely or take it to the Samsung service center to apply new one? The whole purpose of keeping this phone because of beautiful big screen is now gone. Time to dust off my "old" Note 20 Ultra?

That sucks.
This why I loathe these phones.
I would send it back to Samsung; don't make their mistakes yours.
Personally I'd press them for a full refund.
This technology isn't ready for prime time.
No more exploding batteries but still the Fold screens continue to fail...

Just peel it off and install an aftermarket one. It is so much better than what the phone came with. That's what I did and I love it. Took me about 7 protectors til I found one I liked. I'm partial to the matte ones. The screen is resilient, i just yanked mine off. Some leave it off and have never been happier.

There shouldn't be any bumps underneath. There could be some small particle lodged in there. Go to the service center, get them to repair under warranty or better yet, ask for a replacement or refund.
