Hello everyone,
I rooted my device ( LG Nexus 5) a few weeks ago, then I installed an app called "Cracked Play Store".
Until then, no problems. Then, bored by the new icon of the cracked play store (a yellow smiley on a bag) I decided to unistall the app and from then my Play Store is not working anymore . I'm very upset about this, I've searched all over the internet with no solution. I tried all possible things (clearing cache, disable the app,....) but none are working.
So I'm now asking to anyone a possible way to recover my regular properly working Play Store . I was also asking myself if it was possible to replace the play store install folder by a properly working one and if so could someone send me those files
Thank you in advance for the help
PS: I'm a french speaking, so excuse my possible mistakes

trying to get apps for free i see? you know people work on those, put time into it. if you put time into making an app, how would you feel if people were stealing it?
anyways, boot into your recovery, wipe your dalvik. then boot up, and install a fresh play store apk.

so how did you root? maybe you only unlocked the bootloader? if you are using the default recovery, then you could not have flashed the su binaries. you need to flash a custom recovery for that, either twrp or cwm recoveries. stock recovery doesnt give you an option to wipe dalvik, only custom recoveries do.
Just reflash the factory image and take it from there. We have no idea what this cracked play store may have modified, and simply clearing cache/dalvik may not be enough to reverse whatever it changed. In the future don't download warez, it's not not fair to the developers, and as you can see they can mess up your phone. If you want to download paid apps, you can get your parents to buy you store credit at the Google Play store.

He could have just boot in to custom recovery via adb without flashing it and use it to install superSU binary. I do it all the time. I'm rooted and running stock recovery right now. No offense, just clarifying it is possible..

Hello guys, yesterday I sold my phone. Now im trying to factory reset my Oneplus one in the menu. But when I do that it reboots and gets in a TWRP bootloop. I already backedup my data on my new phone, so I just want to get rid of everything. When I reboot the phone nothing has changed and all my apps and data are still there. Anyone have an idea what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Simply boot into Recovery, tap Wipe and swipe to begin the process. Doing so will perform a regular Factory Reset.

The best way to ensure that the device is ready for sale is by flashing the stock images with fastboot. See section 8 of my guide:

Well the method that I suggested will ensure that the phone is back to a 100% stock state, exactly as it came out of the box.
Hi all,
So I really want to install the beta, but I'm not in one of the participating countried, but I've found the firmware online and I can install it through Odin. I've done this many times to root previous phones, but I don't want to lose the data on my phone after installing. Is there any option to keep the data while installing the firmware in odin?

You need to save any photos and files on your phone, either on the cloud or your PC. With a major OS update like this, if you don't do a factory reset you will have problems. Battery drain, apps force closing, spontaneous reboots.
If you don't want to do a factory reset, then you're better off not upgrading. It's not worth the misery.
FWIW: I've not seen an Oreo beta that can be flashed via Odin. Are you sure it isn't the one in the General section that you install via ADB sideload?

You didn't backup your data like everyone advised including OnePlus themselves?
From the looks of your situation, no, you can't fix your phone without losing data.

I haven't got any of case like this that update by OTA can do bootloop on normal stock. That's strange. What is your advise in that case ?

Yeah, sure. But this is a different case. This is a major update, not to mention it's a beta. Anyway, you could try wiping your cache partition first. You can do that on recovery mode. This won't wipe your data.
If it doesn't work, I don't know any other solution to fix your device while keeping data. If you're ready to let go of your data, the easiest way to surely recover is using MSM Download Tool.
EDIT: I just remembered there's no cache partition anymore. You'll need to wipe cache AND data. I can't check the stock recovery because I'm on TWRP myself.

My wouldn't boot after updating a magisk module, I salvaged it by flashing stock boot img again, it's not the same situation but worth a shot.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/patched-boot-image-magisk-16-7-beta-t3818853
As a last resort before wiping try changing the active partition from fastboot:
fastboot --set-active=a
fastboot --set-active=b
Good luck.

your chances of keeping your data without a backup recovering from a bootloop is very slim. the simplest solution would be to wipe your data and cache from the stock recovery. If that doesn't work, you might have to go towards using the msm download tool to unbrick your oneplus 6. Here's the link to the thread with the msm download tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/op6-collection-unbrick-tools-t3914109

Were you full stock or rooted? Were you using Swift installer?
I've never flashed a cellphone and I don't even know if I can flash this one. I bought the phone through and when I was still with Sprint. I was told flashing it might be tricky if not impossible since I bought it through a carrier and was also told to come here and ask. So that's what I am doing. Thanks for any help!
Even you haven't said what you want to flash and why (mean what you want to achieve with flashing)

I'm sorry. It was a little late at night and I was trying to put the child down for sleep and was in a hurry. But I'm looking to just flash a stock ROM to get the vendors (Sprint) pre-installed apps off the phone. So I'm not looking to do anything to fancy.
Try flashing non vendor specific rom. But before that simply keep copy of rom which is installed currently, so in case something went wrong, you can restore it.
You can download stock firmware with friza or Sam firmware tool (little search over xda you can find it)
Okay, so I used Frija to get the file and now I'm using Odin to flash it. I have the BL, Ap, Cp, CSC, and USERDATA files. Only issue I have is I have two CSC files and I'm not sure which one to use? One is called HOME_CSC_OMC_OYN_N986UOYN1DUB5_CL20936746_QB38027387_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 and the other is CSC_OMC_OYN_N986UOYN1DUB5_CL20936746_QB38027387_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5. I want to say it's the second one I mentioned but I want to make sure.
Home_CSC* won't delete your data while CSC_* will do.

What data is the Home file saving? Also what's the USERDATA file?
All other data that you have addled other than factory set.
Some apps install as non system, that known as userdata
Okay, Odin said it passed and my phone restarted to a Android Recovery section giving me a ton of options and now I'm nervous... The options are.
Reboot system now
Reboot to bootloader
Apply update from ADB
Apply update from SD card
Wipe data/factory rest
Wipe cache partition
Mount /system
View recovery logs
Run graphics test
Run locale test
Power off
Repair apps
Do I just want to reboot it?
Okay so I restarted it and the phone works, but everything is still the same. If I do a factory restore will that remove Sprint's apps? Or should I redo the process without adding the CSC and USERDATA files?
Sorry for bumping this but does anybody know the answer to my question?

From what I remember once you flash an unlocked firmware (ie. Not carrier branded) you need to factory reset to remove the carrier stuff from the old firmware
But don't quote me on it, just what I remember reading from others threads, I've not had to try it myself

You can kill 2 birds by using CSC instead of HOME_CSC when you flash the firmware, that initiates a factory reset after the flash (ie. Clean install)

Which ROM you have downloaded?
If you are flashing same sprint then it will always remain there. Make sure you are flashing unbranded firmware.

What information you have added to friza whie searching ROM? specially CSC
