Question How to reset HDMI or EDID settings - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I have a USB C hub (Baseus 6 in 1) with HDMI that I use with DEX. However, when I connected it to my 21:9 monitor, I encountered a software bug that said the monitor's resolution was not supported. The hub was working perfectly before, and I tested it with other devices and phones, where it worked as expected. However, when I used it with my S22U on another monitor, it also defaulted to 480p and gave the same error message.
I suspect that the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) of the USB C dock may have been corrupted, as it even opens DEX in 21:9 on a 16:9 monitor, but at 480p. I tried using a different dock with the S22U, and it works fine.
Is there a way to reset the EDID or reset the previous HDMI settings?

[Q] How to use the HDMI output?

Today I tried plugging in my TF101 to a HDMI TV.
I have a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter.
I also have a HDMI cable, and a HDMI to VGA cable.
I tried both the HDMI and VGA. Plugging these into the TV got nothing.
The TV was in Chinese, but I think everything was done correctly. I pressed the change input button Flipped through all possible inputs and nothing.
I hooked another laptop up to the TV via VGA, and it worked fine.
Is there something I need to do on the TF101 to use the HDMI output, or do I need to start testing my equipment?
I really don't want to have to go back to the Asus repair center. I've been in both of the local Asus repair centers so many times for the TF101, that everyone knows me by name and I get ushered to the front of the line. I mean, I'm glad Asus has two full fledged repair centers in Xi'an, but they don't have any parts in stock, so it is worthless to go there.
perhaps the video is hdcp protected, and your TV is not?
The video should appear immediately with no input from user (besides connecting the cable).
I have had monitors and an old TV not supporting hdcp and it just gave me a black image (or no image, same thing).
I have to have my projector off when I connect the hdmi cable THEN turn my projector on.
This is my case and works every time

[Q] A couple questions about the UG008

For anybody that isn't familiar with it, the UG008 is an RK3066 device very similar to the UG007 but in a larger case and with the addition of an external wifi antenna, ethernet port, and an analog A/V port. I went with it primarily because the analog A/V port allows you to connect a set of speakers when using it with an HDMI to DVI adapter (for viewing on a computer monitor) without the need for a separate USB sound card. Anyhow, to get to the point of this post...
Is there any way to add custom resolutions? It has the option for 1080p and 720p but the monitor I'm using has a native resolution of 1680x1050 (16x10). and stretches any non-native resolution to fill the screen. It's not bad in video, but text isn't as crisp as it should be.
Also, I was wondering if there is any way to connect another Android device with a usb cable to transfer files? I tried connecting my Note 2 which automatically launched the gallery app on the UG008 and gave me the option to transfer pictures but no way that I could find to transfer anything else. I assume if I could put the phone into mass storage mode it would work fine but unfortunately they seem to have done away with it in favor of MTP and PTP.
Thanks,
Tony

Other than a custom rom I wouldn't know of any other way to handle the resolution issue. No idea on the other device either. My question is on the recovery. Did u get one installed on it?

[Q] Allshare cast conundrum

Long time viewer, first time posting.
I'm a science teacher and I use a galaxy note 10.1 (original) to do my lectures and I project the image on the screen with allshare cast. The problem is, our school has old projectors with no HDMI and only XGA resolution. Up until now, I have been using an HDMI --> DVI cable which displays the image clearly. The problem of course is that there is no sound. I don't need sound most of the time, so I've been getting by without it.
However, after reading a few threads on here I found that people had success using allshare with the Cable Matters active HDMI --> VGA with audio cable on amazon. So I picked up one of those. I connected the cable and sound, made sure to power it with the usb cable, and it shows up with just a black screen. No matter what configuration it is in, it just shows a black screen. When I pull the HDMI cable out of allshare and put it into a laptop (acer chromebook), the image displays on the screen fine. So the VGA cable and adapter both work.
Allshare works on the projector with DVI, but not VGA, whereas a laptop works with both on the same projector. Any help?
Does that HDMI-VGA adapter support HDCP? I'm pretty sure there's been a change to the ASCD to require HDCP support on the "display" end.

I did see that, though I'm still on the old LJ02 firmware and furthermore the others I've heard with hdcp issues received a message saying that the device was not hdcp compatible. In my case I cant even see the allshare cast instruction screen (it's black) but I CAN see the dongle on my device and connect.

Dual Monitor w/ MST Hub Problems (SP3)

I came into the SP3 world after many hours researching to make sure that dual external monitors was a possibility, specifically without using USB-powered "external video cards". However, after following directions that people have posted before I have the below setup, and only one external monitor is being displayed.
System: Surface Pro 3 i7 / 8GB / 512GB SSD
Microsoft Surface Docking Station
2x HP LA2206x Monitors
StarTech Triple Head DisplayPort 1.2 Multi Monitor MST Hub
StarTech Mini-DP to DP Adapter cable
Plugged in like so:
Docking Station -> Mini-DP to DP Cable -> MST Hub -> Output 1=Monitor #1, Output 2=Monitor #2
The Surface continues displaying on its screen, and Monitor #1 gets output. Monitor #2 seems like it tries to initialize (I hear the "da-dump" sound from the Surface when it gets plugged in/unplugged) but no video output.
I have tested the MST Hub on another laptop (HP Elitebook Folio 9470m) and both external monitors display without issue. The only difference between the two setups is the Mini-DP to DP adapter cable is not required/cant be used for the setup on the 9470m, as it has a full DP port on it.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Have you looked in the "Screen Resolution" control panel (right-click on the Desktop) to see if the second external monitor is shown?
Have you tried using Win+P to disable the internal display?
Have you checked Device Manager to see if both external monitors are detected correctly and have working drivers?
Have you verified that MiniDP can drive multiple displays at all?
Have you verified that MiniDP can drive the total display resolution that you're trying to run off of it?
Have you verified that the SP3's video chip can drive the total display res that you're trying to get (remember that the internal display is very high resolution)?
Those are the things I'd check first, in probably not quite that order.

1) Second external does not appear in Screen Resolution
2) Yes, however SP3 devices support 2 external plus internal as per spec sheet
3) I will check this.
4) As per SP3 and DisplayPort 1.2 spec sheet, yes
5) As per SP3 and DisplayPort 1.2 spec sheet, yes
6) It is listed on official documents as an advertised feature for 2 external as well as the internal
For #6 I was specifically asking whether it could drive that much resolution, rather than whether two externals was possible at all (you might try reducing the res on the external panel and seeing if the second wakes up). You should also make sure that your hardware all works; try things like disconnecting the first monitor and making sure the second works when plugged in (leave it in the same spot on the hub?)
Beyond that... do you have a Microsoft store nearby? Even if not, you can try calling their support people. If nothing else indicates the source of the problem, it's probably the sort of thing you should take to the people who are paid to deal with such issues.
Working an issue similar to this now. Trying to use a two Dell U2414H monitors with DisplayPort 1.2 chaining, and a DP Hub. Both end in the same result as you.
Sometimes I'm able to "trick it" and get it working but after a reboot or shutdown the 2nd monitor goes back to disabled and I have to repeat the process. Right now I have it working using one monitor on the mini-DP, and the other on a USB-3 to DP adapter.
Working Microsoft on this issue. They claim there is a KB out for a problem with the dock (2992365) but I haven't been able to pull anything up using that number online.
I didn't have any luck with a MST hub either. I ended up just getting a USB video card adapter and I'm now using my SP3 as my primary work machine with two monitors.
Try it without the dock plugging directly into the dp port on the surface
Can you give me detailed explanation?

JUA161C Android screen capture, USB to VGA Display Adapter. Has anyone ever tried it?

Apparently, this device use an app to capture anything on the android phone screen.
Here it is the app, is from the vendor, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mct.luke.t6dongle
Then, this is streamed to the usb adapter that later convert it to vga and can be connected to any monitor or TV with VGA port.
It acts as an external video card.
this is the web from the vendor
https://en.j5create.com/products/jua161c?variant=43350631428
and the Chinese web page is more clear (look at the pictures)
http://www.j5create.com/tw/our-products/android/jua161c.html
Has anyone ever tried it?
Are there any similar devices? And, any similar device with HDMI out instead will be even better...
ps:it will be nice to have a video out capability on my Samsung S7 edge, without the lag of the wifi screen mirror.
For example for gaming.
edit:
After ai posted I found another device from DisplayLink that do the same and with hdmi
