Question USB debugging-solution: malicious tasker task - Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

Everytime I enable USB debugging it automatically switches itself back off. And additionally Tasker keeps saying can't connect to adb wifi even tho the Tasker permissions app says all permissions are granted. Any help is appreciated.

Everytime I enable USB debugging it automatically switches itself back off. And additionally Tasker keeps saying can't connect to adb wifi even tho the Tasker permissions app says all permissions are granted. Any help is appreciated. I'm on a Samsung galaxy a53 5g (SM-S536DL) and I haven't had this issue until the last couple of days. I have checked for updates on the phone and computer both and they keep saying everything is up to date. Thanks in advance

If you found a solution as your title suggests, please update your post accordingly.

Had it enabled since the phone came out and it still is without touching it.
There's a setting in developer settings for disabling adb authorization timeout. Maybe enabling that will help you? I'm still trying to figure out what that actually means though but haven't felt like looking it up.
Don't think there is anything else.
The only time I've ever seen it get disabled on any device is on the moto I had for testing when having the device encrypted. It would kick it off constantly.

I would be more than happy to do so however I'm fairly new here and I'm not seeing an option to mark it as resolved or anything so if you would be so kind as to tell me how to update it accordingly I would be greatly appreciative.

G1 root failure and not connecting to google at start up

Hi, first of all thank you for taking the time for looking at this post.
Ok, so I attempted to root my g1. I downgraded to some 29 or something like that. (Alt L and Alt S some cupcake update from theunlockr). After it was done updating, I got a rainbow screen with Serial0. I ignored it and turned it off by removing the battery. Then I did some other update where I turned the phone on to recovery mode. After that, I turned it on, and I tried connecting to Google so I could continue on to the steps, but after many hours of trying, it would keep saying there was no network connection, (although, I do have a network plan, and before I tried rooting it, I could always connect no problem.) Also, at the top left, I could see 3g and Edge network symbols alternating, but it still wouldn't work.
I need help ASAP please. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much, and sorry for wasting your time with this question.
P.S. I did format to Fat32

Mine did that at first, if it says serial0 that means it cannot find DREAIMG.nbh, try formatting the card to fat 32 in your computer first, once it finds the file it goes through an install. Also caps matters so make sure its exactly as I have it typed there also make sure it on the root of the card not in a folder or anything.

Pc will not recognize phone, tried everything I can think of.

Hello and good morning. I recently began the process to backup my phone storage on my pc, and after enabling developer mode and then subsequently enabling usb debugging, I connect my phone to the pc without seeing any options for mft transfer or anything. It simply will not be recognized. Have the latest SDK and HTC sync software installed, but neither of them detect the device. I tried restarting, disabling and re enabling usb debugging etc, all to no avail. I manually installed drivers, uninstalled HTC sync and none of that worked.
Then read that sometimes it helps to restart the phone by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. This is to simulate a battery pull since you can't actually do that with the one X+.
This was strange; When I did that, the three 'buttons' would flash and the text would show "device will restart if you hold down the power button for 3, 2, 1 seconds.." but just stops there and won't restart, with the dialogue still displayed and the lights flashing. I let go of the power button and the dialogue goes away but the device won't restart unless I do it through normal means, still not fixing the issue.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Try uninstalling HTC Sync.
After uninstalling Sync, connect the device and check in Device Manager if it is present. If yes, then uninstall it's drivers from there.
Now, reconnect it. Windows will show new device and find drivers for it. It should work now.
Sometimes, the USB drivers can act funny.

I've uninstalled the sync manager and then reinstalled the standalone drivers and still get nothing. I think it's an issue with the phone itself. I just recently enabled the developer options to enable usb debugging, and it's only been since that happened that I can't connect to it. I've done just about everythi g when it came to enabling disabling debugging (the only dev option I touched) restarting etc and thus far I'm not getting anything. I'm thinking I may just have to hard reset the device unless anyone can come up with anything. Anyone recommend a really good backup option since I'm not rooted and I can't connect it to my pc?
@JawshBawx, if you were rooted I'd definitely have you use Titanium Backup, but seeing how it requires root and you aren't rooted, it won't work for you.
In fact, come to think of it, all of the non-PC backup methods require root!
Does your device have an SD card slot?
Haha. No it's an HTC One X plus. Next phone will have an sd lol. I actually found all this out because I was trying to start the root process! Can't do that without connecting to my pc or without having an sd card [emoji14]

Oh, lol. :silly:
Looks like you're just a little bit screwed - and by "a little bit screwed" I mean you're going to have to factory reset your One X+ without backing it up.

Do you know anyone else in this forum who might have some ideas here? Someone has to know something that can help some part of this situation haha. I might just have to dropbox everything and then move that info to my pc.. a long manual backup.. fun! But if anyone else has an idea concerning the original issue.. I'd be a happy camper.

Actually, there are two threads in which you can post your question and expect at least a half-decent answer: [Help Thread] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly. and [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly].
Sorry I couldn't be more of a help!
Thank you for the links and thank you for responding! That's help in and of itself.

Issues accessing usb diagnostic mode in Lollipop/cm12/pa

Ok, after searching quite a bit, there doesn't seem to be any way of configuring usb diagnostic mode (sys.usb.config diag, adb) in CM12/PA 5.0.2. I've tried several times, and the closest I get is adb working and the diag port either constantly turns on and off, or doesn't read at all. I'm thinking it might be due to the fact that I can't seem to fully shut off mtp in storage. It only turns off (meaning the screen to switch doesn't open) after I issue the diag, adb command. I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards this being some sort of new setting for Lollipop, which, if so, I guess I can try writing a script that might allow diag access. But, if anyone has any insight into this, please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Shameless bump is shameless. For shame...
Hello, did you find something out?
I'm looking for a solution too. I think we are screwed until there is an OS update that fixes it

hi guys...
any news from diag mode for CM12..?

ADB won't stay enabled

Hey guys,
First off: I searched. Nothing on this specific issue.
My issue: I try to enable USB debugging on my OPO, it works for a few seconds (maybe 4s), then it gets automatically disabled. The notification shows up for about 4s and then disappears, when I go back to the developer menu its disabled.
My OPO: 64GB, 12.0-YNG1TAS2I3, Unlocked, Rooted.
If anyone needs any more info I'll gladly provide it.

Did you manage to come up with a solution? I'm having the same problem.
I had this problem on my Moto G (1st gen) and now on my Xperia Z3 Compact and the exact same thing was happening, which makes me think it could be an app or something affecting it (I just restored nearly everything from Titanium Backup).
Is your ADB working in recovery mode? Mine is so therefore it isn't a computer issue
Ok, turns out I accidentally fixed it somehow so I'm posting here incase anyone else encounters the same issues.
I was having issues with Tasker, TitaniumBackup and ADB and I think it was all inter-related. I re-installed Tasker because tasks weren't automatically triggering. After a couple of reboots due to things being odd, everything started working again. I also ran some TB backups before checking if ADB was working but I'm not sure if that affected it.
TLDR; uninstall Tasker (and maybe disable some device admins?)
Yah, it was an app. Cerberus.

Is there a way to get rid of "Unautorized actions have been detected after root?

After i rooted my Tmobile Galaxy S7, i keep on getting this message saying "Security notice : Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart to undo change. Im sure that this is KNOX kicking in. Is there a safe way to disable KNOX? Maybe through Titanium Backup? i just got this phone so im still new to the phone ins and outs.
I have even uninstalled all the apps and .apks (bloatware) that i wanted to and took root off of the phone. The message still comes up after restarting. There is a restart option within in the devices security tab that if i click on, restarts my phone but then there is an error and nothing happens.
As a side note, when i leave my house i like to take off WIFI and i have noticed that when i get back and connect to the network i have to reapply the password? is there a setting to correct this.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Go here and look under recommended next stepshttp://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s7/how-to/how-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039 Also in that thread jump to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68116194&postcount=1426 Using Titanium or another program to freeze or uninstall apps freeze or uninstall Security policy updates and SecurityLogAgent. The Security Policy Updates has apparently been causing phones to go into a bootloop after a week or so. The SecurityLogAgent is what's telling you about the unauthorized changes. I really recommend reading that entire thread.

Thanks for the info. I was actually trying to find this thread again after finding it the first time. So thank you for that. I tried some of the things that was mentioned from tyrone1 suggested thread. Nice to see that those fixes are included plus more.
I just got this phone so im still digging around and making it as slim as possible as in resources. Its incredible that phones nowaday come with so much bloatware on them.

Galaxy S7 Edge. Rooted, almost everything is great, but none of the fixes for removing this security warning have worked for me. I have tried Titanium and other apps to disable this, but so far, no dice. Can anyone help?

I used Titanium Backup to uninstall "SecurityLogAgent". Just open Titanium. Tap on "Backup/Restore" and scroll down the huge list until you see "SecurityLogAgent". Taping on it gives a couple of options. I made a "Backup" of the file before tapping on "Uninstall". Once uninstalled just restart your device. I have the Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950N and it worked like a charm on this device. Good luck on your S7.
I did resolve it in a kindda primitive way
Since it is rooted, I use Root Explorer and go to system app folder. I change the permission of both folder and app of SecurityLogAgent to none. I believe it means the app won't run when restarted. It disapears now. As I have knowledge limitation about how this app work within the system, I will see if it compromize the system. I have the latest firmware and Odin ready to reflash.
Watch this video How to fix unauthorized actions have been detected, It will help you, I see many like and thanks for the video
