one of the thing i hate about android -_- , so many features and customizations but bugs like this is very annoying..
i'm asking because my bandwith is limited and to upgrade needs a lot of data
basically its android 7.1.2 bug... im pretty sure this is not only a single phone bug because i have try on 3 phones Moto g5s plus, xiaomi mi a1, and Redmi note 4 with custom rom 7.1.2 and ALL have this bluetooth issue...
The issue is like this, theres 3 options for bluetooth audio : Phone Audio, Media Audio, And Contact Sharing...
heres the bug.. if i check BOTH phone audio and media audio, then i can still hear calls thru the bluetooth device, but i cannot hear my music playing on it (or any other media)...
As soon as i uncheck the Phone Audio Options, the music plays again, but if i uncheck it i cannot hear calls from the bluetooth device...
IT can be fixed by rebooting phone, but once a call goes in, then the problem came again...
Just wanted to confirm is this fixed on android oreo ?
Heres a video of the bug

Hi,
I could connect it (meizu chinese phone = comparable to sam s7 hw) to my headunit bt and there I had no problem with pairing it this meizu phone etc at all..
but I did not hear any sound (voice) from the/my car speakers came when I called someone (or home) and I did not hear a ring tone if I dialed a phone number too, after trying and trying to find a solution to it but nothings benefiting/helped.. yesterday I told meself why not tried an older firmware version of this meizu chinese phone you have nothing to lose.. right? and indeed, I have a fw that 1 year (almost) old is flashed it with it and you would not believe it mate, it worked immediately, I heard the ring tone and also the sound (voice) comes from the/my car speakers when I make a phone call as it should too!.
I hope it is useful to you guys too.

Hello
This is my first post here. I just purchased Huawei P30 pro. It's brand new and I like it mostly. Third day of ownership and today I found out that my car handsfree is disgusting with my new phone. I got a "first " call today while paired and streaming YouTube music throu Bluetooth and the first surprise was that the car own ringtone was gone and my phone ringtone started suddenly playing throu car speakers when the call came in. It was horrible sound quality. Like someone recorded my ringing phone from 10 meters and playback it throu my car speakers. At the same time my phone screamed too. WTH. Okay, so I pressed the answer button and the call quality was so **** that I wasnt able to concentrate properly to the conversation. On top of that there was an echo with my voice that made things even more horrible. Why is that? Is the new phones Bluetooth version messing things up because my previous Huawei p9 with Bluetooth 4.2 performed like a dream. There was a preset nice ringtone from car system (that I can't even locate now with new phone) and crystal clear call quality. No echos and tin can effect. Is the newly purchased "previous flagship" really like that. Am I stuck with this horrible experience? Please help.

or its because of the guy that mounted it in the mean while, or its because of some Apps monitoring your android.
Hello everyone! I recently had an S8 Ultra Plus installed. The first issue I had was the sound going on and off which after 2 return visits to the installer he switched the Axxess Harness initially used with a PAC harness, and got that resolved. The current issue I have is that when I get calls via Bluetooth, the callers can hear me from the external microphone but I can't hear them. I even used a microphone test app and it recorded my test but I am not hearing any play back.
Btw, Music via SD card, radio, SiriusXM works fine. I'll greatly appreciate some advise.
Has anyone noticed audio lag/lip sync issues across all audio visual apps?
Most commonly notice when watch YouTube the audio and picture completely out of sync and sometimes the picture freezes and trys to catch up.
A restart normally fix's it but it's occuring everyday, along will the lag issues hitting alot of users...
I just noticed this issue, didnt have it before and I got The Phone for about a month ago. NO clue what could be different then before. Only thing i Can think about is that i started using galaxy buds pro but same issue without so....
I think this is another know issue that is due to be fixed by an update
you're kidding me, so without bluetooth headphones, you're talking about the regular speakers coming from the phone? My S22U is getting delivered tomorrow...
Yes it headphone but also phone only videos, you tube etc. From what I have seen it comes from a mismatch whenever something is played over bluetooth then stays out of sync when phone only until restarted.
Galaxy S22 Ultra: Audio and Video not in sync after March update [Fixed]
This guide will show you the steps to fix the audio and video not in sync issue in Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra device after March update.

I forgot to mention I'm getting this issue with the phone speakers themselves, haven't even tried Bluetooth yet.
Known issue introduced in March Update. Temporary fix works, until another update fixes it.
Whatever social media app it is, registering one app for bluetooth is enough to solve the problem. Settings -> sound and vibration -> Separate app sound -> turn on now-> app: Youtube audio device: bluetooth device. And restart the device.

Luckily I don't have this sync issue on the speakers or bluetooth
Exynos? if yes, it's a known issue.. wait for the next software update
Another temporary fix is to change the audio codec to AAC in developer options. Here's the link:
I have a very large desynchronization of the video and audio, however, through the speaker of the phone. Sometimes one second offset, sometimes less, sometimes not at all, applies to the same video.
Same issue here. Exynos model. March updated added this bug plus many others like UI lag and throttling it seems but the new patch just out fixed this.
i have the audio issue also and i have a snapdragon. samsung is really trolling this time
This model seems to have several serious audio related problems. See mine, referenced here:
Audio problems - S908U
The issue I'm about to describe won't affect the vast majority of Ultra S908U owners but it may be a symptom of other audio issues on the S22 family. I have an EARGO hearing aid that uses ultrasonic audio commands (EUS) to communicate from its...

Download sound assistant from the galaxy store. Adjust Bluetooth metronome. This corrects the sync issue. Truth be told its an android issue I've had across several device and Samsung is the only one that offers a solution.
