Has anyone noticed audio lag/lip sync issues across all audio visual apps?
Most commonly notice when watch YouTube the audio and picture completely out of sync and sometimes the picture freezes and trys to catch up.
A restart normally fix's it but it's occuring everyday, along will the lag issues hitting alot of users...
I just noticed this issue, didnt have it before and I got The Phone for about a month ago. NO clue what could be different then before. Only thing i Can think about is that i started using galaxy buds pro but same issue without so....
I think this is another know issue that is due to be fixed by an update
you're kidding me, so without bluetooth headphones, you're talking about the regular speakers coming from the phone? My S22U is getting delivered tomorrow...
Yes it headphone but also phone only videos, you tube etc. From what I have seen it comes from a mismatch whenever something is played over bluetooth then stays out of sync when phone only until restarted.
Galaxy S22 Ultra: Audio and Video not in sync after March update [Fixed]
This guide will show you the steps to fix the audio and video not in sync issue in Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra device after March update.

I forgot to mention I'm getting this issue with the phone speakers themselves, haven't even tried Bluetooth yet.
Known issue introduced in March Update. Temporary fix works, until another update fixes it.
Whatever social media app it is, registering one app for bluetooth is enough to solve the problem. Settings -> sound and vibration -> Separate app sound -> turn on now-> app: Youtube audio device: bluetooth device. And restart the device.

Luckily I don't have this sync issue on the speakers or bluetooth
Exynos? if yes, it's a known issue.. wait for the next software update
Another temporary fix is to change the audio codec to AAC in developer options. Here's the link:
I have a very large desynchronization of the video and audio, however, through the speaker of the phone. Sometimes one second offset, sometimes less, sometimes not at all, applies to the same video.
Same issue here. Exynos model. March updated added this bug plus many others like UI lag and throttling it seems but the new patch just out fixed this.
i have the audio issue also and i have a snapdragon. samsung is really trolling this time
This model seems to have several serious audio related problems. See mine, referenced here:
Audio problems - S908U
The issue I'm about to describe won't affect the vast majority of Ultra S908U owners but it may be a symptom of other audio issues on the S22 family. I have an EARGO hearing aid that uses ultrasonic audio commands (EUS) to communicate from its...

Download sound assistant from the galaxy store. Adjust Bluetooth metronome. This corrects the sync issue. Truth be told its an android issue I've had across several device and Samsung is the only one that offers a solution.

When I listen to music with my Desire S over bluetooth there is a clicking noise in an unsteady interval. I already tested my headset with a HTC Hero and a Dell Notebook Latidude E6410 and it works perfectly.
That is the reason I guess it is a problem with the phone. So I contacted HTC. They recommend to do a factory reset.
What do you think? Is there even a little chance this really works?
As I don't have/know an app to backup my application data (except Titanium Backup, which needs root, which I don't have) I'm hesitating to do a reset of my phone.
Thanks for your help
Same here. I have disconnection of 1-2 sec every once in a while when listning to music with my bluetooth helmet.
Worked great before with my HD2.
Same problem here - on Incredible S, brief click/blip every 30s or so. Logged this with HTC and got the standard reply. Anyway I did try a reset and did not install any apps, still the same problem. Have been watching this forum for similar issues, as the IS does not yet have Gingerbread, I was hoping this might fix it
Do you have the problem listening/watching to video? Aside from a slight delay/sync issue, I have no problem with video, only music playback. Have tried several music players, bluetooth 'fix' apps, you name it.
Had no problem on previous Desire HD, and no current problems with my laptop. Has to be an HTC software bug? Or poor HTC hardware? It's real annoying
yes as you may have noticed, when using a Bluetooth the quality is not the best. I think it has some reason to do with the way those gronks at HTC has programmed the software, as you already know the issue with WiFi.
I have quality issues as well when using a bluetooth headset, but its mainly that the sound warps - even when only moving away a meter from the handset (even though its supposed to be a ten meter radius) Grrrrrr. I would say to try out a different player, probably one that has a bigger audio buffer. try playerpro trial and see how you guys go with that.
Here's to hoping that on of the devs has fixed this bug as htc think that have done a marvelous job on the products they are offering, i could slap them!

i can't confirm that. i've been using A2DP with a few different devices, and my observation has always been, that with every device the quality improves dramatically when the device-volume is fully turned up, and then regulated down again at the device used for listening to the music. so for exaple: medaia-volume at desire s full, device-volume at car-radio as desired.
used that way, listening to music via A2DP never sounded bad to me, no matter which device i have used...
i can't confirm the other reports, i do however get a constant noise in the background when using a bluetooth headset. i guess it's best described as white noise, though i'm not sure if that is what it is. back when i had the desire with an aosp rom it worked just fine, so i am guessing htc added their own bluetooth stack along with sense...
@Ep1cF4il
have you tried, as i mentioned, raising the media-volume to the max and regulating the volume at the listening-device? following that procedure the noise i had with low volume disappears.

Hi everyone,
I have been experiencing what I would describe as an "audio glitch problem" when using my Nexus 5 paired with my 2011 Toyota Prius.
Streaming audio via the A2DP profile works great -- sound quality is excellent, no problems have been detected.
Unfortunately telephony is problematic. This happens on 100% of phone calls and only when I am paired to my Prius. It sounds like a buffer management problem, it's as though the person I am talking to "skips a beat". It could be that a buffer gets repeated twice. Whatever is happening is very annoying, it makes carrying on a conversation very difficult.
I made a post in Google's forums and one other person reported a similar problem.

I used to be able to hear calls and media whilst connected to bluetooth in my car. one day it just stopped working. media still works but when i make a call or receive one, there's no audio. calls ,audio, and contacts are all checked in bluetooth settings. i've forgotten devices, rebooted, reconnecting, and nothing helps.
bluetooth connects to everything fine, but no call sound over any accessory i try. got a new car and it won't work in there either. i'm on android 7.1.2 .
searched all over and plenty of people are having these issues but none of the posts i've read solve my problem. any help would be appreciated
Hey hey, I have a 128GB pixel with the same issue. I actually opened a case with Google support today about it. about 3 months back, only phone audio stopped working in my car. I was hoping the 8.0 update would fix it but it did not. I have a 2017 Honda Civic LX. I tried everything on my phone - even factory reset. Media audio works, I can play Spotify just fine but when i get a call, I can not hear the other person and they cannot hear me. The phone indicates it is connected via bluethooth... I'll try to update this post with what they find.

128G pixel here. This happens with every Bluetooth device I connect it to. 2 car stereos, 2 speakers, and a headset. All worked fine and suddenly one day... Didn't. I was hoping O Would fix it with all the Bluetooth bug fixes and changes they implemented.

Darn, so the issue is a bit different. Mine works fine on a couple of other speakers I have.
Did anyone ever solve this? I've got the same issue, but it effects *all* my Bluetooth devices, but only when I am switched to my secondary user profile.
I've reset the phone app but no dice.
My phone will say it is connected to the Bluetooth device for the phone call. If I switch to speaker or phone and then back to Bluetooth, it works. Anyone else have similar?

Hi!
After hours of Googling you are the first I found who has the same error.
I have a Lenovo TAB4 8+, my kid wants to use Zoom and his Bluetooth headset but only the speaker and mic on the tablet works. I tried fresh install, without luck:
There are 4 type of users:
- Owner (primary - this is the only profile which works for calls on bluetooth headset)
- Standard Users (secondary - bt headset only supports listening: Spotify etc..)
- Child (bt headset only supports listening: Spotify etc..)
- Guest
The bluetooth headset is working with other devices, but not with this one. Unfortunately I have no other android device which supports multi-user.
Moreover, there was an hour when bt call worked from secondary user, but couldn't find out what is the problem.
Can anybody help me on this?
Best regards,
Karoly
Been using the Pixel 3 as my daily driver for a while now, but just recently came an interesting piece. Apparently, the Pixel 3 doesn't support LDAC at Optimum Audio Quality (more details here - https://themrphone.com/article/google-pixel-3-xl-doesnt-support-ldac-at-optimum-audio-quality/)
I was planning on buying a high-end set of Bluetooth headphones, in fact, was considering the same ones used in the link above. Can anyone else confirm this?

Working fine for me with both LDAC (detected and used automatically) and "Optimised For Audio Quality" (switched from default "Best Effort" in Developer Settings)
Pixel 3 (non XL) with Sony MDR-1000X (gen 1 of the headphones in your linked article) and Google Play Music.
Granted GPM isn't a Hi-Res source, but it's playing fine! There was a momentary drop in audio for a split second on changing bit rate but it resumes with no issue!
I had this same issue with my Audeze Mobius--the Pixel 2 allowed me to set the rate to 990, but the Pixel 3 would do as described in the link. Seems like a software bug, I doubt it actually isn't capable of using the full rate
I can't say, I'm much of an audiophile or anything but I do like to play with settings for what sounds best with what I have. On my Galaxy s8 running oreo and my previous s5 running aospx/oreo I could change the developer Bluetooth settings on the fly and notice the difference instantly (avrcp/bt_codec/sample_rate/bit_rate/ldac_codec).
If I do it on the pixel 3, the Bluetooth just falls out, connection wise it stops but still shows it's connected, app wise I can't close and reload the app. I have to turn the Bluetooth off or reset it completely sometimes.
It's kind of a bummer, being a brand new phone and all, I noticed the absolute volume disable didn't seem like a difference either.
I hope they resolve it.
Update: disabling bluetooth a2dp hardware offload let me freely change all those settings while in use with out locking anything up. What that necessarily does or the effect of changing the settings and how well they actually change??? I can't answer with any rational or testworthy explanation as my audio products are oem Bluetooth radios in vehicles.
Anyone else finding that the Bluetooth audio can be a bit hit and miss, the audio has just fully cut out on me, but it displays as if it's still connected and playing via the headphones. I had no audio through either headphones, switching BT off and on, and rebooting headsets didn't solve it. Rebooting the phone brought the audio back, phew!
Out of the two headsets I have, My cheap Sony WI-C310's seem to work better, Using my jabra halo smart headset, it doesn't seem to connect media audio if it's also allowed to handle calls. I have to toggle calls off and just media to use Spotify with the headset (this could just be that headset being weird, think it got discontinued for not being great)
Anyone else having BT audio issues?
I've got a Huawei smart band 6 connected at the same time if that's a factor, it wasn't a problem on my original Nord though.
I have been facing the same issue for a while now, it's pretty random. There are times where it works perfectly and other times it either doesn't connect at all, or has a very weird delay, where it's fine in the beginning of say a video and gets a delay mid way through it. There are times where it only connects to one earphone, just issues all around. Also am using the oneplus buds z2, so honestly would expect it to work flawlessly with a oneplus device. The earphones work fine with other devices.
I've been getting random drop outs.
Both with connectivity with my car infotainment system and my cycle computer.
When I had my OP7Pro, never experienced anything of the sort when connected to these two same devices.
I've also tried enabling Bluetooth Gabeldorsche in the developer settings, and that didn't make a difference.
Will try changing the Bluetooth AVRCP version to see if that improves anything (currently set to the default of 1.5).
Has anyone else played with those settings and tested the impact?
Tested with 3-4 Bluetooth devices and no drop outs.
I notice that when I put the device in aereo mode the Bluetooth remain active, but in the latest days this problem doesn't happen anymore, maybe was a bug of the first fw, and after last update they have fixed?
