I just got the phone a couple of days ago and tried out the camera. The rear camera is just like static lines but the front camera works fine...anyone had this problem or know how I can fix it?
Hi,
my wife has an HTC Rhyme, after one year of usage she have some problem with the phone.
the images taken with the phone have an ugly spot, the lens of the camera is clean.
I thing the spot is because some defective pixels (maybe 10-20) on the image sensor, anyone else have this issues?
Warranty will cover defective pixels of the camera CCD sensor.
thanks

I replaced the cracked screen on my N5 and everything went well. The screen works great. Thing is, when I was moving the rear camera to the new frame, one of the chips on the side of the camera module broke off. The camera works fine, but I am not sure what that chip was for. If you look at this picture, it would be the chip on the left side above the lens.
Any ideas?
The Nexus 5's OIS is powered by an InvenSense IDG-2020 dual axis gyroscope - Optical Image Stabilization.
your recorded videos will look more shaky and jerky.

Hello,
I've just replaced ther front camera module however no image is displayed on the camera app. When switching to front camera, the camera app freezes up and even the CIT test for the front camera also freezes up. However on applications such as device info, the front camera is recognised as a 5MP camera with f/2.0 apature. I'm on the latest MIUI (MIUI 11).
This is the replacement I used: ebay item: 223615865273 (its a front camera for the mi mix 2 however I assumed they used the same camera so it wouldnt be an issue)
If somebody could point me to a direction I could to identify the issue, maybe its a compability issue? I have no idea, any help is appreciated.
Thanks
A wild guess, but when I was replacing the fingerprint sensor on a redmi note 3 pro I had to re-flash with mi flash again to get it working. It was also the same when I replaced the display

I reflashed many times, even installed different kernels, nothing. Thought maybe it was a faulty module so i got a different one and now one of the two back cameras is acting like a front camera, the actual front camera module isn't doing anything
Hello,
My Zenfone 6 just returned after a faulty motherboard replacement.
After launching the camera app, I notice autofocus malfunction. The picture seems blurry, out-of-focus and it often happens indoors, as if "the object is situated too close to the lens".
Given the same scenario, the camera works (continous autofocus) properly when front-facing, and video recording.
Do you guys happen to have come similar case scenario after a faulty motherboard replacement?
Thank you very much in advance!
Jack
