vanilla Adroid on MediaPad M6 (SCM-W09) - General Questions and Answers

Hey Guys,
I'm curios if any of you tried to install vanilla Android on MediaPad M6 (SCM-W09). I would like to do it but I need help with it. My knowledge is very basic, could you please tell me if there is any working manual which could me guide through this process? What I want to achieve is to have a normal Android with software from hardware producer and if possible working external Huawei keyboard. I bought set: tablet and keyboard.
Best regards
mgolczyk.

Vanilla Android is the Android developed by Google, not containing all the OEM related blobs: it's the base all OEMs use to create a fork matching their devices.

Hi @jwoegerbauer, thank you for replay, what does it mean in details? It means that if I try install vanilla version on this device I can have issue with drivers? I guess that vanilla android has an set of drivers for most popular hardware right? What do you recommend me, abandon the idea and try to install google services with one of the unofficial ways? Do you know if there is a way to install vanilla android on this device?

Dual Boot Android + WM on Motosurf

Hi all,
Sorry if this wrong ask since this forum is dedicate to HTC Device
Does anyone know if its possible to install an Android rom on the MotoSurf A3100?
Dualbot with WM it will be great.
Thanks a lot.
No, I do not believe there is any effort to port the Android operating system to the Motosurf A3100, or any other device in that product line. Because Android (and the Linux kernel it runs on) require decent hardware support for the system they are running on, none of the Android packages posted on this forum will work on your device either.

Samsung M1 (GT-I6410) LiMo moddable?

Hi, have a Samsung M1 (GT-I6410) with LiMo on it...is there any possibility to mod it or to get apps without the vodavone store?
If there are any mods, please tell me
Yes, but there are none. I've only been able to install on my m1 some apps from the vodafone competition, originally destinated to h1 that i couldn't download from the app store.
I'm very disappointed with this OS. Some team is trying to port android in this phone, but so far...
I really need android on my M1,
Will be willing to beta etc, but i have no skills in the world of programming...
winter <3
still nothing?
Somebody have to port Android to this. Even i could do it if i knew how
Someone ported Android on Samsung H1.

H1 is a similar version of M1 but with a better camera.
Some people said H1 hardware is different, so try install this android rom is not useful.
I would be able to port android by myself but i'd need lot of tutorials on...
No one work on M1?
I'm not able on seeking drivers and on source code but there something to work on here:

Please teach me something on it...
This phone has not public interest...

I've tried to flash Android-port from H1, but Odin gave me ERROR.
LiMo is awful. Really slow and useless OS. It would be really great if anyone could port Android 2.3 to M1 i6410. Doesn't mather if it doesn't have Wifi.

Symbol MC7090 Need Android ROM

Hi All,
I have a Symbol/Motorola MC7090 it's currently running Windows Mobile 5.0 with messaging and security feature pack.
I cannot connect via Wifi and I cannot get the barcode scanner to work.
It was used by a developer to test there apps, I was told that it was reset back to factory specs.
Has anyone got a ROM so that I can put Android on this??
Best Regards

I hate to revive this post, but I have the same sort of question. Please let me know if I need to start a new thread. In my case, I have two ROMs from "Zebra" (who seems to have taken over this part of that company). Mine is also the MC40, but the question I have is what do I need to do to essentially convert this from a Windows 7 CE device, to an Android device. I have the drivers for both the Win version and the Android version. I also have 3 of the Android devices and 2 of the Win devices. The model numbers are exactly the same, only the OS is different. Im doing this for the company I work for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

[Completed] simple way to make an Android Nougat rom compatible with jxd p1000

Hi, was wondering what tools do the techs of mobile companies use to make stock Android Nougat compatible with their devices?
Anyone got a step by step recipe? would be cool... wanna build a script to automatize all this so, it's easier to port
stock Android to any device just by inputting the hardware details...

Setting up Android on a smart projector

Hi, I got myself a smart projector running on Android. Unfortunetely the deveopers installed a really old version and it seems there is no way to update them. When trying to add an account to the system or let alone update the system tells me that it can not communicate with the google servers. So, I am planning to install a new Android version on the smart projector.
Can anyone point me towards a good resource (on the net) that tells me what information I need to have, which files from the current installation I need to keep (i.e. drivers) before installing whoch ROM?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds familiar - having the same problem: My Philips Picopix 4935 is a splendid device but its Android 4 isn't much fun (especially with newer audio/video-formats).
What model do you have?
