- Questions and answers: -Q: What is this thread for?
A: To unify all the information about the T8100.
Q: Is the Q-Link Scepter 8 rom compatible with this tablet?
A: No, since some components differ like the cameras, accelerometer and touch panel. But we share LCD with the 1 generation "CF" model.
Q: Is it compatible with GSI ROMs?
A: Yes, it is compatible with GSI roms. That if from android 11 the accelerometer does not work.
Q: We have the stock rom, in case the tablet is broken?
A: Not officially, but doing tests we managed to dump the tablet and adapt it to flash with the Phoenix Flash Tool. Of course, the only difference it has with the stock rom is the bootlogo it has, since it has another from another brand.

Nice thread. Well written and concise.

Hi everyone,
I recently flashed a lineageOs GSI on my T8100 tablet, but I would like to flash another rom. Is the process the same as you posted in the other thread?

If you mean GSI roms, they all install the same.

Anybody able to sideload via TWRP? I have storage issues, it seems to be encrypted (many strange long folder names) and cannot transfer any files. I think I need to put GSI roms on a micro SD but I don't have one...

Did you have to use MicroSD card, or were you able to flash otherwise?

GSI roms are flashed using fastboot mode, not recovery.

Do you get into fastboottd mode? Since GSI roms are installed via fastbootd (No bootloader). If you use the stock recovery the interface is like this:
In case you have TWRP it also has its fastbootd mode.

Information needed for Hisense phone

Hi all,
I've just got given a Chinese Hisense phone. I'd like to root the phone and install a custom ROM. Problem is, I can't find too much info on this device. On the package, it shows as a "Hisense F25M".
Navigating through the device, it shows as Model Number HLTE100M.
Hopefully someone on here can direct me to the right rooting and ROM.
Many thanks,
Arj

I have a Hisense A2M (Hisense A2 Pro) running Vision 5 Android 7.1.2
with Hardware V1.00 Software L1414.6.01.02.00 Kernel 3.18.31 and
I cannot unlock the bootloader and thus I cannot root it.
fastboot does not accept the command "oem unlock".

tried flashing many factory images starting from 7.1 to android 10 ,
same result , cant boot in recovery as well
any fix for it ???
What happened before this? The phone was working or it had a problem that made you flash a factory image? For what I can see there, it looks more like a physical problem, I work at a cellphone repair shop, and I've had quite a few similar cases with some Nexus 6p, Nexus 5x and a few Samsung phones, at a glance, the phone seems to be okay, some of them actually boot, but most of them won't boot into recovery, after troubleshooting, some of them work after going through the ultrasonic bath, or a cpu reflow, but most of them will simply not work again, for us it's not worth the shot to attempt a full rebelling of the CPU, NAND, or any other chip, but I'm pretty sure that the problem is on one of those ic's, also I had this problem with a Moto g5 plus and the problem was the circuitry right after the USB port, after replacing the components, it flashed just fine

Hello all.
I have a big problem, the phone doesn't have rom, TWRP and stay in fastboot flash mode (secure).
The big problem is in ADB. the program don't recognize the device.

But in fastboot is ok

if I try to charge the TWRP to install any rom is not possible and sends this error message.

please help me.
Put your TWRP.img (replace with the full filename) into the folder where adb and fastboot are in.
fastboot boot TWRP.img
or
fastboot flash boot TWRP.img
OR
Look here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x4/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-official-factory-t3808348
This also helped me, because I was able to get the stock rom back up, but I stupidly re-locked the oem and thus had no internet connection.
https://github.com/Genymobile/gnirehtet
I've bricked mine too!
I might have messed up during the installation of TWRP, it didn't work out, and i wiped all data.
trying to fix and trying to install the stock rom back, i locked my bootloader.
How do i fix this?

hello if you flash your original firmware I think everything would be ok, your device is xt-1900-6 retail, although the bootloader is blocked via adb it flashes without problems, look for that firmware, regards
Thanks!

I did wht you said, got the adb sideload working.
but my phone just says:
Code:
E: Footer is wrong
Update package verifications took 0.3s (result 1).
E: Signature Verification Failed
E: error: 21
Installation aborted.
I'm searching for this now, not sure why this is happening...
1: some bad line apparently
2: error 21 is rare because "error 21" is related to the format in which the phone numbers are stored. ... Regarding the messaging service settings, the Internet Access Point Name (APN) is the address that the phone uses to connect to the Internet.
and why install via sideload? this method always gave me problems

Well, i tried Lenovo Rescue System, didn't work. I tried RSD Lite, I got an error saying "can't change to fastboot mode" while my phone was already on fastboot. Now via ADB, I got a different error, i really don't know what else to do or any other way to try.

I'm just about ready to throw the G4 Plus in the bin, but before I do, I thought I'd give it one last chance.
Have been following instructions from https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/real-official-stock-rom-xt1625-xt1642-t3575895 for example.

That's the main problem you have.
Your phone has A/B partition layout hence its recovery partition is part of boot partition. Everything is managed by the boot partition now. Thus you now boot the recovery into the boot partition rather than flashing it to the non-existing recovery partition.
So this is my recommendation: boot into a custom recovery like TWRP and from therein flash a Custom ROM:
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot boot twrp.img
