J737A want to Flash ROM for J737T or J737U or Lineage -- How? - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

I have a J737A 2018, and I want to use this on TMobile, because Wifi calling doesn't work using the ATT Rom. Can I switch to the TMobile Rom, or the U rom? Or can I switch to lineage OS?
Thanks!

I used this app to enable the Hotspot. It worked on the stock/rooted ROM.

I'm in the same boat. I'm trying to get wifi calling as well. Lets hope someone helps us out here....
Looks like stock firmware for now. If I flashed an att phone to unlocked, is it as simple as flashing back to stock?

I flashed att from unlocked and all att features working perfect. Just get bk disabler for the bloat and its the same as unlocked one but better designed for att

SIM not detected when using custom ROMs

Hi
If I use a custom ROM, the phone doesn't detect my sim card. If I flash back to stock, it works fine. I've tried both LineageOS 14.1 and AOKP.
My model is BLN-L21, build B361.
Did you flashed even the patched vendor.img present in OP of Roms?

Do you have 4G SIM or 3G? Custom ROM wont detect 3G sims (apart from Elite I guess)

I indeed have a 3G sim. I'll report back after getting a 4G one.
BTW, what's the reason for custom ROMs not detecting 3G sims?

T-Mobile variant clarification

After reading a few threads, it would seem that there is an msmtool for the tmobile variant now but still no method for root? I'm not counting the method to convert to international version.
Do I have this all correct or am I missing something?

The T-Mobile MSM tool is to revert back to the T-Mobile firmware. If you use the MSM tool to convert from the T-Mobile version to the international version, you can root but you must be SIM unlocked prior to converting to the international version.

Right I had mentioned that in my post, but I'm a little apprehensive to try it because I don't want to have issues with lte or wifi calling.
Is there no way to just root on my stock rom? I kinda just want a custom kernel and themes.

There are no issues what do ever with LTE of Wi-Fi Calling. They work great. The newest update for the Global/International version fixed the issue some had with Wi-Fi calling not switching over fast enough.
No, there is no way to root the stock T-Mobile rom.

Yes there is. Simply unlock bootloader and patch the boot image. And flash it in fastboot.
