[Q] Weird S-pen/screen problem

Hello everyone,
I got something strange here with my Note: I got a small part of the screen, nearly about 1cm below the front cam and 3cm wide. This area doesn't, respond to my S-pen, while it responds normally to my finger's touch. The only thing that I did was replacing my stock Austria firmware with the stock UAE one for more support to Arabic. I don't use a screen protector.
Anyone got explanations for this?
Any chance you use a case with a magnet?
Case solved
I received your reply at the same moment I found about the magnet case on another thread on this forum, thanks a lot
Glad I could help. I remembered reading about it.

[Q] Another cover under the bottom cover?

Hello again xda,
today I got another One S which is pretty damaged on the outside for just 5 bucks (ridiculous right?!). Now I wanted to disassemble it, but I got to an problem. As I removed the bottom cover there was an another cover under it and I don't know if/how I should remove it. The whole screen is cracked and case is pretty scratched so I have to disassemble it completly. In the attatchments is a picture of it.
Greetings,

Just remove that the same way you removed the previous. I tried to take a picture with my old sh!tty nokia. Also this could be useful:

[Q] MT7-TL10 Teardown or fix guide?

Hi all,
Recent Mate 7 owner in AU, had the misfortune of dropping mine, and as Murphy would have it, landed flat on the screen, which is now spidered with cracks.
Has anyone figured out how to pull one apart or seen a teardown ?
There are no screws are visible anywhere, so I'm guessing that the back will come off, but it looks like a single piece with the sides, and I'm loathe to take to it with a razor blade without some certainty.
Local Huawei support here does not answer the phone, I've googled for the usual terms - local phone sellers/repairers have not seen this here yet, so they'd be in the dark as much as me.
Regards
Michael

I would love to know this information as well. I have a dashboard mount that works with a Magnet, but i need to slip in a thin magnetic strip into the back of the phone case. I have done this and it works magnificently with other phones, but I too am too scared to try and pull this thing apart, anyone out there with some experience?

might work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmkfCizpWHU
Wish it was - that is an earlier one which has a back cover that does not extend to the sides. The mate 7 cover is like a U-shape in profile, as it extends from the back down to cover the sides - I can only see a seam where the side meet the bezel around the glass. The unknown for me is whether the sides clip in or are stuck down.

[Q] Changed my display, now it doesn't work

Hello,
I changed my broken display of my N5, but when I power on the phone, only the right half of the display is working. By the way, I forgot to remove the protective cover at the back of the display (digitizer), could this be the problem, or is there anything else?
Best regards
Matthias
Ok, my friend came over here, and then he saw that the glass inside of the display with all the contacts on it was broken. That was the reason.

A replacement for rear camera lens cover

Hi all
I have a few annoying scratches on my rear camera lens cover (whatever it is glass or plastic?). Can this part be replaced without having to replace the whole camera module?
I can't seem to find this part listed anywhere on aliexpress or ebay. Plenty of these are available but they look more like a cover to be put on top of the original rear camera.

Or are they actually the replacement for the original cover? Please someone helps enlighten me
Thanks
Or is it actually part of the back cover? I can't quite make it out from all pictures I saw on the internet.
Will take the back cover off and see for myself tonight. In the meantime if anyone has anything to share, that'd be much appreciated too

You probably noticed already that it's part of the bacover. I replaced mine for the same reason, but I wouldn't expect it's waterproof anymore, so please don't drop it into the toilet
Original back cover.
