When I try to flash GSI Android 13 it keeps doing an infinite boot loop, I tried looking at some tutorials and they show me that I should wipe System
But the system option is not available on my Samsung A125F/DS. Only system Image is available and doesn't allow wiping

I found the image below on the internet to show you what I'm talking about
The screenshot below is what happens when I try to wipe System Image
Just don't wipe it.
Wipe data and install gsi
No need wipe system,
First go to factory reset in twrp and second
just wipe data, cache and dalvik/art cache only.
Then flash your GSI image, choose SYSTEM to flash your GSI...
NOTE:
FIRST: choose correct GSI image for your phone. If wrong gsi that flash in your phone, it can cause boot loop or always restart...
To check your compatible GSI. Download TREBLE CHECK on playstore..
SECOND: if your phone is android 12 version, downgrade your phone into android 11 version, because GSI is not compatible in samsung a12 A125F/DS android 12 version... There's a bug and boot loop on android 12... Android 11 is stable for GSI...

No. Unfortunately, android 11 devices have a funny bug. It boots, but the screen keeps moving up and down. Whole screen glitches. You can't even unlock the phone to enable developer options to take logs

Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Compatible with Lineage Modded 18.1 only!
Instructions
1. Download TWRP image
2. fastboot boot twrp-3.5.2_11.0-2-nio.img
3. Enter Passcode if you have to decrypt /sdcard
4. adb push twrp-3.5.2_11.0-2-nio.img /sdcard
5. Click Backup -> Only Select Boot and Swipe to Backup
6. Go back to Main Menu, -> Advanced -> Install Recovery Ramdisk
7. Find and Select twrp-3.5.2_11.0-2-nio.img -> Swipe to Install
8. Done! If any issues, restore the backup made before.

Nice work Dev ! I will test with Lineage Modded later today , thanks a lot .

Everything working so far with LOS Modded on The G100 Model. Thanks dev !

Is recovery somehow tied to the ROM? I thought recovery can be anything regardless of what the ROM is, as long as bootloader is unlocked.
Tried while stock rom was installed. Its fine when booted from fastboot. But if installed, touchscreen doesn't work.
Will try on lineage modded and see.
Edit: it works with a mouse. So touchscreen doesn't work, yet to try on lineage modded.
can't start adb sideload mode .
failed reason unkown.
lsusb shows no device presented while enter the sideload mode.
i flashed it directly, like this:
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp-3.5.2_11.0-2-nio.img
is this ok ?
Hello,
What's going on with TWRP? twrp-3.5.2_11.0-3-nio.img just flashes and won't work and twrp-3.5.2_11.0-2-nio.img isn't booting on my G100 any ideas?
Thanks
Hello,
Finally was able to get this installed on my Moto G100 but it's essentially useless. I can't access the internal flash on the unit from Windows in MTP mode after formatting flash to wipe so I can install lineageOS and Gapps. Essentially have to get LOSrecovery installed and then do sideload because I can't do what I need to with this. The newer version just flashes the screen. Are we going to get one that actually works?
Thanks!

Yes I have a beta version that has that functionaility working already, just working on slot switching bugs.
Hello,
Awesome!!!! Cannot wait to give it a go. You're doing great work and I hope to use this along with LineageOS and have this as my new phone to use!! WOOOHOO!
Thanks and sorry if I came across as rude!
Additionally I can't sideload gapps as it says there isn't enough room... uhg these two slot phones essentially suck a lot... the DooGee S95 Pro I have is so much simpler!
ETA? Oh yea sorry don't ask for ETAs ever!
Oh I just hope it's soon so I can start using the phone. Do you need some bug spray?
Anyhow I'll use whatever version you have A/B switching aside because you can switch from A to B easily with fastboot, while you work out the last bugs.
Thanks and appreciate your work.
And then I ask for an update!
Any updates or development of this?
funciona para moto g 100?
Hi
How is the proper way of installing GSI images? I have tried TWRP method and Fastboot method, neither of them works. Is it even possible on this device?
Fastboot method gets error @ "fastboot erase system" (remote: Check device console)
BL Unlocked ofc and adb/fastboot is up to date as well drivers
TWRP - i lose all my partitions for some reason and have to MSM back to working state
GSI i tried https://developer.android.com/about/versions/12/gsi-release-notes#downloads
This is my first fully treble supported device and i actually do not know how A and B partitions behave while doing gsi/rom flashing. Perhaps someone can explain it?

The 8T is not only an A/B device, it is also a virtual A/B device. I'd be very surprised if you could get a"normal" A/B GSI to boot on an 8T.

I did that in hopes that it clears this dsu dialog up from those that is there now, but no, they are still there and i can use them if i want. it's like they are stored somewhere? (i have no other GSI type file stored on my local storage btw)

Do you mean that the installation of the dsu is so fast that it is impossible to download a 3gb GSI in such a short time?
Well, i did not know that it requires internet connection, i always tough it uses file from local storage

It also occured to me, only takes a few minutes to install dynamic system.
To me though, when I discarded the GSI at that instant there will be a few gigabytes freed and that is a sign of the GSI deleted.
For me it takes a while tho
All the DSU magic happens in this folder
Tried deleting the gsi there?
It was empty before i started dsu installation, also i have no dsu install file on internal storage download folder, that proves the fact that is takes dsu file or filename from internet, because when i rebooted i was greeted with OOS, the same i have primarily installed, with only 4gb on internal storage, and i made screenshots there, but they're gone now.. obviously

Hi,
I have problem How can I roll back to Android 11 from 12 ROM.
I have DFE and root .
Please help me because my work apps don't work on A12.
as far i know there is no android 12 stock rom yet. perharps you are in a custom rom... if that is so.. you just need to flash stock rom with miflash tool and the androdi 11 stock rom version of your device (global, eu, china, etc...) but be careful with the *clean all *save user-data *clean all and lock scripts.... right now some apps detects the bootloader unlocked and maybe that's why your apps doesn't work. you also can try magisk (and magisk hide) to get your apps work again but topjhonwu (creator of magisk) have already drop support of "magisk hide" so is only matter of time for root also stop working
I don't I have rtn PC so I need do it in all in TWRP on phone .
also.. you can check if the rom you want to rollback does not brick ypur device with the "anti-rollback" system that xiaomi create...
use the cmd command "fastboot getvar anti" on fastboot mode, you will get a number (0,1,2,3,4) and check your rom that has the same or higher number....
for example:
if your device shows "anti: 2" you can only flash (trought miflash tool) roms with anti_ver_ : 2,3,4)
on the scripts of your stock rom "clean all *save user-data *clean all and lock you can check the anti rollback version of the rom by using notepad++ and looking something like this

again.. if you are in a custom rom.. you can flash android 11, but the fact that your apps wont work because you rooted your device has nothing to do with which version of android you flash... but if your apps detects that the bootloader is unlocked... you can only relocked again using the stock rom with the *clean all and lock script...
google tutorial on youtube.. there are plenty of them and in different languages
You don't understand my apps works on rooted device but not Android 12 I had few ROM like Arrow Os or PE and root and kernel but no problem now I try thee ROM of Android 12 and doesn't work at all.

you dont have pc and dont have access to data
now that is a very tough situation
do you have SD card?
Your not encrypted right?
Just wipe super, data (NOT Internal, so media file is safe), cache.
Then flash the ROM + DFE.
You'll be okay and stay decrypted.
But if you're on encrypted internal, you need to format internal in TWRP (lose all data + media)
Also
Magisk isn't dead.
There's Magisk 24 with new root hide solution Zygisk.
.... and big problems with lost root and email certificates... i´m just trying to return to Magisk 23 because of massive problems with version 24 sharing this with some more users ...
After finally unlocking the bootloader, installed TWRP 3.6.0 and rotted with Magisk v23.0. Lets find a custom ROM that suits this phone - WRONG!
I have tried many types of ROM and so far it ends in soft brick. Need advise if you have any. My aim is to install a basic custom ROM , install pico or nano GAPP, and only install like 4 apps on it. phone, sms, navigation, music player etc.
I have tried the following ROM:
Phhusson-treble AOSP andriod version 9, 11 & 12.
GSI arm64 ab ROM
a so call stock ROM
I also tried installing the vendor.img as described here
I would like to use LineageOS but there doesn't seem to be one for this phone
I am now resorting to installing the stock firmware to make the phone work again, instruction here
If anyone has sucessfully rooted this phone using a basic ROM and GAPP please share how you did it and where your download was.
Why did phhuson fail ? That's the basic gsi, every other gsi are build on top of that. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

I install - system-arm64 –ab
I did some research that the Doogee n20 is a arm64 and a+b .... Unless I got the wrong information.
I suspect there maybe some stock firmware files that needs to be installed as well to make it work properly.
A post said it needs vendor.img, I might try sourcing another copy.
Follow up - I got it un-bricked with the stock firmware (android 9) (link in my original post) .... Back to square one .

Hey man, did you get it fixed?
Actually this device is A-only, but you should use Gsis A/B.
Most Phh based Gsi works almost perfectly for me.
You can try this:
- Download and install Twrp 3.6.1 here
- Download LineageOS 18.1 (lir) here Choose "arm64 bvZ" version
- Download stock rom here or Y9Plus variant here
- Extract the Gsi, and the vendor image from the stock rom
- I restarted in Twrp, go to wipe and select system, data, cache...
- Go install and flash the Gsi as system image, and vendor as vendor image
-reboot
