Simple Mobile phone + T-mobile Sim card? - General Questions and Answers

I am seeking to buy a phone and found a guy who sells a Simple Mobile locked phone. I am planning to use it with my TMO Sim card so the question: will it work? In my understanding MVNO-locked phones should work fine with the parent carrier, but I am not sure.
The phone is Samsung A03s if that matters

[Q] Verizon Phones and GSM

Hi,
I have a friend in the US that uses Verizon as his Cell Company. He does a lot of traveling.
So, 2 statements and then what I am looking for:
1. International Phone calls on a Verizon Phone is prohibitive. (duh)
2. Verizon has a GREAT International Data Plan.
Is there a phone that can run on Verizon (CDMA) but has a 2 SIM card slots that (unlocked of course) that can be used with a local country SIM Card (GSM). AND also allows one to use the Verizon SIM to allow access to the Data Plan. Crazy? I do not think so. Possible? I am not sure.
Any guidance is appreciated as it would be nice to have only one smart phone when travelling.
Regards and thanks in advance.
Jim
I believe the CDMA touch pro 2 has a sim slot but it has to be unlooked oli and cmonex have a thread that unlocks your phone for a small fee head over to the touch pro 2 CDMA forum to find out more
Thanks, I will check it out.

[Q] Switching carriers / confusion

Hey guys, I've been with Virgin Mobile, a prepaid subsidary of Sprint for a few years now. Virgin Mobile phones don't have SIM cards, so I've never delt with those before. I found out that T-Mobile has a prepaid service plan for the same price as my current plan, and I am wanting to switch over to them because I feel that Virgin Mobile has an appalling lack of good (or decent, for that matter) android phones. Here are a few of my questions:
1. Can I use a T-Mobile SIM card in any Unlocked phone? Even phones on another carrier such as Verizon or AT&T?
2. Is there a difference between T-Mobiles Pre-paid SIM cards and their contract SIM cards?
3. Would I have to get my phone / SIM card unlocked before I can use it in another phone?
Thanks for any help you can offer me.
Bump?

Perpaid sim cards do not differ from contract sim cards.
Your sim card will work in most unlocked phones from other carriers. Verizon uses CDMA technology, and does not use a sim card, but they do have a few world phones with sim card slots.
I've never used a prepaid plan, so I'm not sure as to which devices will be compatible. From what I understand, (I could be wrong), iPhones and Blackberry devices are the only devices not compatible with prepaid sim cards.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

[Q] Ned help someone sold me nexus s with bad esn on craigslist want to flash to st

I bought a nexus s 4g sph-d720 on craigslist and found out it had bad esn but I want to flash to straight talk anyway. The phone is unlocked but what sim card should I get from straight talk? Will a sprint sim card work?
First things first: Sprint does not use SIM cards. CDMA phones in general don't use them. So if the carrier of choice you want to use this phone on requires a SIM card, this is not the phone for you.

[Q] Unlocking Sprint HTC 7 Pro?

Hi, a friend of mine from the US is selling his HTC 7 Pro from Sprint and he's offering me a sweet price ($50) but he claims that the phone has no SIM slot. I did some research and it seems that there actually are some units around without a SIM slot from Sprint, U.S. Cellular and possibly other carriers.
I'm thinking there still has to be a SIM in it somewhere (right?) and since I'm not afraid of disassembling stuff I'd have no problem changing it. After that unlocking the phone shouldn't be too difficult.
Basically I need someone to tell me whether there is a SIM slot in this phone (although inaccessible) or if it's something completely different and I won't be able to stick my SIM in it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The HTC Pro 7 (or HTC Arrive on Sprint) comes in two different hardware models. Codenames are: Gold and Gold_C
GSM/Sim card models are Gold
Sprint/US Cell/Cell South/Alltel are CDMA Gold_C (which means Gold_CDMA).
The Gold_C does not have a SIM card, it is different hardware. There is no "Gold_W" such as the Spark_W (HTC Trophy on Verizon) which has both CDMA and GSM abilities.
So no, no slim slot on the phone, your SOL. Sorry. :/
Oh…
That sucks.
Thank you very much for your reply, you've saved me 50 bucks

Change out sim card for international travel?

Having been a Sprint customer for years, I'm not that familiar with SIM cards, but I know that the S6 has one. For international travel, if I want to use local cell service, is it truly as simple as buying the right kind of SIM card and swapping it in?

If Sprint sells the S6 'sim unlocked', yes, it's exactly that simple.
Thanks. I'm not positive that it is, but I contacted them and they said they were setting my phone up to work in Europe while I'm there. I think that means it's unlocked? So I might try a prepaid card in it and see what happens.
Make sure you've made at least 5 min of calls before putting a Euro sim in it or you'll have to worry about the region lock too.
