Question LineageOS 19.1 on LE2117? - OnePlus 9

I have successfully got LineageOS 19.1 on a T-Mobile OnePlus 9 "even though their official site said it didn't supported the LE2117" and was able to sideload Gapps and boot into LineageOS setup screen, but the touchscreen doesn't work at all, would upgrading to 13 be beneficial? Is there a way of resolving the touchscreen issue if any?
I saw somewhere "which I forgor where" is where the 13 update doesn't have the modem/dual sim bug anymore, no clue if this is true

The screen problem you can solve through the kernel. But you'll have to compile it again if you want it to get it.

I've actuality solved it over a week ago
I followed this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...to-recover-from-a-brick-windows-only.4460859/
After using fastboot enhanced to convert to global firmware, I did a local update to C.48, touchscreen works, gave me hope, then followed the installation guide on installing lineageos 20, after rebooting to recovery, flashed lineageos, then rebooted to recovery and flashed gapps, and then rebooted to the setup screen, touchscreen worked, no dual Sim bug, and to this day, no problems to report so far, tho I wished OOS cam was included lol

OPO cannot recevive Lineage 13 install (err 7 with TWRP)

Im currently upgrading my 4.4.4 to a 6.0, to be exact, I use the Kali Nethunter ROM, however I ran into trouble, since it requires a CM 13 as a template. The problem is the following : no matter how many times I've tried, the TWRP just don't want to install the only CM 13 image I could found (which is to be exact a Lineage 13 17-06-10 by kutep0v)
The TWRP-s I've used are ranging from 3.1.2.0 to the last tried and often mentioned 2.8.7.0
The exact model is a bacon with 64GB
And also I use the bacon root toolkit by wugfresh
The two possible cause of this was pointed out in certain other forums said that, there either is a compatibility error with the firmware (which currently displays : UNKNOW, and neither the wifi or sim card is working), or the twrp reads a compatibility error with the image (somehow doesn't gets that A0001 is the same as bacon) I downloaded (there were a forum post about a custom modified twrp, which fixes this error, but the link is broken, and the forum article has been closed in 2015)
Could someone link me the proper firmwares for the Lineage (or CM) 13, and the proper TWRP, which are validated to be working with together?
Or any other thoughts would be helpful

Since you're on KitKat,you need to flash new firmware in order to flash any newer android version ROM.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24389512218018449
Wipe everything except internal storage, then flash the firmware, then the ROM and then gapps(optional) and reboot.
About recovery, official twrp will work fine,
https://dl.twrp.me/bacon/
Edit-AFAIK,Kali Nethunter only works with cm 12.1 build as of now as mentioned in the latest thread about Kali nethunter.

Update I : I just hard bricked it, so I have to rebuilt the whole from scratch (color os and stuff, probably the firmware is wrong too) I had 5.1, but the mobile network somehow didnt worked for me, and I wanted to downgrade to the previously used 4.4, unfortunately not from twrp but just simple flashing, and it somehow did not responded after a certain amount of time. (that won't be a problem)
BUT, I'm sorry to say that, but you are wrong
there are official builds for CM 13 / Marshmallow
they just don't update the main page
look at here : github slash offensive-security slash kali-nethunter slash wiki (sorry, newcomer and I cant post a proper link )in the builds you can find official and nightly packages for it (I can install the kernel, and when I want to install the whole package of marshmallow kali, it says, 'please install a regular Android system first')
that works far better than the Lineage or CM 13, and those are the problematic ones(with the firmware), not the Kali

Okay, so since (at least in my opinion) the bottleneck is the CM 13 / Lineage 13, do you have any experience with it?
could you give me a fine working firmware and ROM combo please?
I'll have no problem unbricking it, and after that I'll probably solve the kali installation (since its documented, and seems like working), but due broken links I can't really get the recommended ones at github

Oh, thank you.
I just didn't realised, sorry for that.
BTW do you have any idea why does my opo is undetectable for everything I've tried?
How I hard bricked was the following :
Bacon toolkit, Downgrading to Kitkat
the console was writing the stuff it flashed to the device, and suddenly stopped and said <waiting for device>
after that, nothing
I unplugged after 15 mins, and after that the only lifesign was that, it got how when I plugged it charging (not too hot, just the standard "oneplus one is charging" hot)
I have an xp machine with the proper drivers and the rescue toolkit, but it cannot detect, not even as an unrecognizable usb device which lacks driver
I think the bottleneck is the phone now, but I just don't know what should I do

That could be possible, however I've tried with at least 3 drivers on 2 laptops(Win10 and an old XP), and neither picked it up even as an unrecognisable device (So basically there is literally no difference wheter I plug in or not plug in, from the computers view, or at least I didn't find it at the device manager, neither was there an alert of a device not recognisable). The drivers were :
- QUD.WIN.1.1 10037.3 - Latest from androidbrick
- Driver from colorOS
- The one I've been using before bricking it (and I had no problem with it before)
I've been digging up threads, and the only one I could find so far, where the device wasnt recognised even as an unrecognisable device was due a discharged battery.

Update :
a friend of mine had an OPO to sell for ~100 USD, so to have a working phone, I bought that
it had Lineage 14.1, with firmware 0241, and TWRP, BUT, when I've tried to install the lineage 13, it said the same error 7
I've updated its firmware to 0011, and same thing happened, error 7 when I've tried to install lineage 13
now its on a factory reset lineage 14.1
maybe my image is bad
any idea where could I find the CM 13 or lineage 13?
and also I've tried the old phone with the adb drivers you've suggested, but no update with that one

Bootloop with official LineageOS 14.1, but not with SultanROM

Dear ladies and gentlemen,
a couple of weeks ago I decided to switch from SultanROM (latest build from 30th April) to LineageOS 14.1 (nightly build from 5th June 2017). Due to some minor bugfixes I updated to the nightly build from 17th of July. My phone worked well, aside from 2-3 random reboots. But two days a go all of a sudden it hung up. I tried to get it up again with a hard reboot. After a while I realized I was in a bootloop. Of course I tried the first obvious steps to get rid of the bootloop:
Wipe cache (including ART/Dalvik cache)
Flashed the most recent nightly build (2017-07-31) + wipe cache
Factory reset
Updated TWRP from 3.0.2 to 3.1.1
But even then - no chance, I was still hanging in the bootloop. After a few more tries I flashed SultanROM and tried again. Surprise, surprise: it worked perfectly, the phone got almost immediately up!
I'd like to go back to LineageOS, but I don't have a clue how to avoid the bootloop when flashing it again. In the past I flashed other firmwares and images, too (i.e. the 44S and persist.img from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/help/fix-brickloop-audio-fx-fc-efs-corrupt-t2879061). Could this be a problem?
Any help would be appreciated!

Most of the outlined problems are about random reboots and a crashing camera (I read back to page 93). But my problem is: LineageOS 14.1 doesn't even start anymore - after wiping everything, flashing the newest nightly and doing a factory reset.

I flashed various builds with no success. What did seem to work is sultanized ROMs, I flashed Sultanized RR and it booted up fine and it was actually pretty good. Just a bit ago I went on a flashing adventure to go and flash AOSPA 7.2.1 but that ended up badly with a bootloop and a broken recovery. I was forced to download WugFresh's toolkit and fix the softbrick (lost all data in the process beware), I am currently on stock CM12.1 and I'm going to flash to AOSPA probably after the boot has finished up.

Don't think I'm going back to Lineage, RR for me is better (Sultanized or not version). For now I think I'm going to stay on AOSPA. If you try WugFresh's stock flashing tool I urge you to backup all your data.

Thanks for your advice. I already lost everything while trying to get back to LineageOS the last time. Fortunately I had up to date backups.
Have you flashed any ROMs or other stuff before that could cause the problems?
No, not really. I had this issue (meaning that I couldn't change to another non Sultan ROM) for a while now but chose to ignore it. Today I flashed multirom on top of Sultanized RR but I don't think that made any difference, when I flashed to AOSPA everything went South.

I originally suspected the firmware as well, turns out that probably wasn't the case, but I am now also now suspecting that the ROMs I tried to flash weren't f2fs compatible and it wasn't sultan's fault after all.

[DISCONTINUED] LineageOS 17.1

Originally, this was thread was centered on the LineageOS 17 GSI by AndyYan, however, CodeF86 has so very generously made a working GSI for the Moto G6 which you can try out now!
Unlike AndyYan's generic GSI, for this you do NOT need to flash johnaltg1's LineageOS 16 image (if you do, this GSI will NOT boot). It is recommended you use stock Pie firmware. Oreo firmware has not been tested and may result in bugs.
Download here—Compiled Feb 22nd, w/ working LTE!
See CodyF86's thread post
Some notes:
Unlike the generic GSI, calling works.
Also unlike the GSI, the colors don't invert randomly.
Magisk DOES NOT work at the moment, neither phhuson's nor regular Magisk. Flashing it will cause a bootloop.
Bluetooth audio has been reported to not work
As with many Android 10 GSIs/ROMs, Chrome freezes or crashes because GApps packages currently are missing the new Trichrome WebView implementation which replaces Chrome as the default WebView. This being worked on (see OpenGApps wiki and issue #773 on their GitHub.) For now, use another browser (like LineageOS's default browser) if you install GApps. —As soon as Trichrome is added onto the ARM package just as it has for ARM64, Chrome should be stable.
For now, that's all I can think of. However, if you notice any other bugs or caveats, let me know so I can add it to the list.
This is a GSI based on phhuson's prereleased GSI work and also based on the prereleased LineageOS 17. This is a pre-release so please be careful and don't use this as a daily driver. Things may break randomly, whoops, so please be patient! If you see any bugs, report them here.
Extremely huge shoutout to CodyF86 for this GSI!
The developer of this ROM has moved on to another phone and the community now has a full fledged 64-bit ROM which has much better support for things.
AgentICS said:
The LineageOS 17 GSI works great on the Moto G6. There are some caveats however for anyone willing to try it:
You MUST first flash the LineageOS 16.0 ROM first or else you will bootloop.
Use this Magisk from phhuson's official GitHub
Your screen may change colors and look weird, when this happens, go to Settings > Display > LiveDisplay> Color mode and change it to the value under the value selected on the menu and then back to the original one and that should fix it
If you flash GApps before first boot, follow AndyYan's suggestions as the Setup Wizard is broken for some reason on most GApps packages.
Calling while not on WiFi is broken for now.

Just to reiterate, you are stipulating that this pre-release build doesn't permit me to make an outgoing phone call (nor possibly receive any) unless connected to a WiFi network? Please pardon my not-so-subtle-sarcasm ... but, why would anyone release this with a bug (or limitation) which inhibits the core functionality of the device? I could see a million other issues being permissible but not being able to make normal phone calls (or possibly even receive them) doesn't warrant any kind of release for testing. That being said, I'd be happy to help if possible and eagerly await a usable version of Android 10 to put on my Moto G6 which I only got a month ago (happily unlocked at a great price on Amazon). However, it is (currently) my main phone for making calls.

It is pre-release so not all the bugs are ironed out, I should have added that this should not be used on your daily driver. But yes, it's dumb to use a phone that can't make calls without WiFi. Just as a note, you can make and receive calls however if you're not using WiFi, the caller can't hear you. I have filed a bug upstream with phhusson as this affects every GSI built using his work (Pixel Experience, Lineage and AOSP which I've tested). I hope this gets fixed soon so stay tuned to that GitHub issue

How? What is your modem version/phone model?
Can't Boot

Bluetooth is horribly broken for now, it causes the app playing audio to lag and crash so please stay away from it.
Chrome is wonky at the moment. It'll work and then all of a sudden cause the whole OS to lag and crash or become unresponsive. This is possibly an upstream GApps issue.
I am documenting everything on here. Stay tuned to that page for more info and further updates. Addiotionally, I have filed a bug report regarding calling, please add on to that GitHub issue and bump it so it can get resolved.

Ok, so I installed and flashed Lineage 16 first. Then I flashed Lineage 17 GSI in system img, but then when I did that I go into twrp and it said an os was not installed and wouldn't boot. But if I just flash Lineage 16 it would boot. Am I doing something wrong?

First off, are you unzipping the file? The standalone uncompressed file is unflashable. It needs to be decompressed from it's .gz (or whatever it was compressed to) form. If you have, have you tried using fastboot flash system <lineage file name> from a PC?

Just wanted to jump in here and say I'm seeing same bug on xt1925-6 with callers not able to hear me on any 10 gsi's and speakerphone does not work at all. Phh aosp 10 build 209 with stock pie 55-37-7-2 boot vendor boots fine, other gsi's will only boot using the Ali lineage full ROM boot- vendor but call audio is broken as well. Thanks for submitting the bug report, hopefully it will get fixed in future builds.
Hello friends,
It's been a while since i've posted on XDA. I was the person who originally rooted the g6 play. I managed to build a GSI image of 17.1 with the latest code as of today if anyone is interested I can upload it to gdrive or something, didn't feel like making a new thread.
It boots, mobile calls work, dark mode works (which is amazing), it all seems to work.
Getting it to compile was just short of a miracle...lol.
Only bad thing is I cannot get it to boot with any version of magisk even the version specifically for phh / Android 10, but with just the stock kernel with the ,verify removed it boots fine.

GSI-Lineage-17.1-2-16-2020-system.img
It seems it only connects at 3g although it lists a different apn server on lineage, I may be able to fix that, and I couldnt get the sd card to format as anything but adaptive storage, but everything works more or less. going to recompile in a week its still pretty early in development stage of lineage.

Huge thanks for this GSI!!! I've been using it and it works flawlessly, I have also observed that only 3G works for now but regardless of that, everything works fine.
Again, I can't reiterate enough how thankful I am with you for this GSI!

May have a fix for LTE compiling it now, using the stock apn file with the adjusted mcc mnc numbers.
If I could get root I could get it for sure, but I can't get it to boot with a magisk flashed kernel, even the android 10 special version of magisk.
I got LTE but now mobile network stays disconnected although there is an LTE connection. It's an apn issue will work on it. if I get it working will make a thread...not sure why magisk won't work with my builds / kernel though yet.

I've noticed that restarting always restarts to the bootloader. I don't know if it's just me but that's weird
Could you provide a link to the kernel source used in the rom?

It's on his GitHub
The kernel is actually just the stock kernel from the latest firmware with the ',verity' flag hexedited out to disable encryption. (You also need to change the fstab that is in all the guides ever made including my original one), but I'm working on building the kernel and making it work...but I got LTE to woooooork with some changes to the stock apn file lineage provides ! lol.
Only thing now is that it thinks my external sd card is corrupted and wont format right unless i set it to adaptive storage, so make a backup of your external sd card for now. Going to try using TWRP to format it with a couple different file systems.
Here she is boys.
Lineage-17.1-02.22.20-treble-arm-system
Still working on getting it to boost with magisk not sure why it won't when it was fine in Pie.
Still playing with the apn file the apn its using says sprint ehrpd but not sure what makes it pick which apns to show on the screen, but the apn is set to x.boost.ispsn which makes LTE work. I'll clean it up soon.
(All of this is assuming you're on Boost / Sprint)

Ressurection Remix on A8

Hello everyone,
I am creating this post because I would like to know if someone has already installed Ressurection Remix on a Galaxy A8 ?
I saw some tutorials that are explaining this is possible, but when I go to the Ressurection Remix official download page, I cannot find which file is specific to the galaxy A8. Actually, I have some difficulties to understand the files names : Raphael, Sakura, Jason,... Are theses names code names for différents phones ?
I may add that the bootloader of my phone is unlocked, and I am using TWRP to flash zip files.
I didn't treblelize my phone thought.
If you have some other custom rom suggestions, please do not hesitate to advise me.
You can install RR through GSI, by this link
You will have to trebelize your device
Because it's a gsi android 10, you can use vendor quack
Treble Guide
Vendor Quack
Thanks for your reply. Yes I saw that it was possible to treblelize the phone, to install other rom like the very famous lineage os.
But I am little bit hesitant about this procedure : is everything working well with the phone after a treblelization ? Has anyone tried this method?

Treblizing the phone itself does not cause any problem rather it enables you to install different GSIs. Regarding GSIs, each have there own bugs and you have to find them on the GSI thread if available or if they have telegram or github support.
Hey, just made an account to respond to this as I just discovered there are per-device pages on these forums and saw this post, I have done exactly that and been running it for 2+ years now, so far I have had no majour problems wih it, the only majour caviat is that after trebblimg it and installing resurrection remix It seems to freeze when trying to display the charging animation if the phone is off and it plugged in, it still charges without any problems, tho to boot it when in this situation you need to force shut it down using the volume_down + lock buttons and then immidiately after use volume_up + lock buttons to boot into recovery, then you can boot to the normal system from there, I have a TWRP recovery but I think the stock one also allows to resume booting the normal system.
In these last months I had a few weird bugs like the screen brightness beeing locked to automatic but that went away after a reboot and only happened 1 time.
I also installed magisk and a few other small tweaks and things and everything works great, also all resurrection remix customization options.
Actually in the last few months something broke because the safetynet checks fail for the ctsProfile, (most apps like my banking app tho still work fine by using magisk hide (i think it's because the safetynet basicIntegrity check still succeds) and the update page seems also broken (tho no idea about when this broke exactly as I haven't checked it in years), everything else is still fine tho, I might try re-flashing it to update to the new majour resurrection remix when i have time and the will to backup and move everything, something could have corrupted or maybe an update broke it, no idea.
My phone reports resurrection remix 7.0.2 and Android 9.
Hope this is still helpful.

Help with nexus 7 (2012) rom

Hi. for 2 days I have been googling and looking on this forum on which rom is best for nexus 2012, but I can't find anything at all. most posts are for 2013 version or outdated with dead links.
I was able to get lineage 14.1 on it, but it was missing google play, after following some guide here and installing Gapps, it then stopped booting. it got stuck on the google logo and that's it. lineage 14.1 itself worked fine, installation of gapps succeeded, but simply won't boot. tried several times. always gets stuck on google logo (waited over 15 minutes).
before that i had some kali version on it, but out of the blue it stopped working and wouldn't boot anymore, that's where i deciced to try lineage. i dont want kali on it anymore as it was sluggish to start with.
so I thought I'll just put original rom on it and was looking for original 2012 rom download, but it seems like it comes in pieces like system.img boot.img ..etc and I don't want to overwrite my bootloader or lock the device again or cause other issues. I just want a working rom that can be sideloaded.
can someone please point out which rom is actually working with nexus 7 2012 and can be flashed using sideload or twrp loader.
I already have everything working, such as twrp, fastboot ..etc. I can easily sideload any working zip or img, but I simply can't find a working one.
I find only dead links on this forum and elsewhere, such as this one "xxxxxx" which is suppose to be for some nightly version. and some dead gapps links that point to dead domains or link just doesn't even exist.
please dont start suggesting to buy new tablet. i'm poor and i have no money and i only need this tablet to use with my smart plugs and camera. i'm not going to buy new tablet just for that. i just want to keep it on charger 24/7 so i can monitor my plugs and camera. that's all.
but for that i need working android rom and google play store so i can download and update apps.
I don't have any backups nor important data on it, however i want to keep it unlocked and keep the twrp.
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

it was bit sluggish and got stuck couple times during boot, but it worked.
I think better question to ask is: does any of the ROMs comes with gapps?
It was like 5-6 years ago so i don't remember much, but i installed some version of kali on it and it had everything included (play store and other stuff). however as i mentioned before, for some reason it got really, really sluggish and at some point it just stopped booting completely.
so your question is about gapps. ROMs always should provided without google apps for licence violation.
use older installer. check recovery.log
