Hi,I recently installed the hal9K 7.1.2 from android 5.1.1. However I would really really like to upgrade my HU to android 9. After hours of searching forum and Google I haven't found any material on this specifically mentioning upgrade of 9 over 7.1.2. I had two queries.
1. Has anyone done a update from the above mentioned "hal9K 7.1.2 for all head units" upgrade successfully to the android 9.
2. If yes have can you please please provide instructions on how I can go about doing this. With DL links for software.
p.s. could you also mention any known issues I.e. hal9K 7.1.2 has issue with stock video player.
props to hal9K for a brilliant android 7 upgrade love the work thank you.
if this question has been answered please provide link.*
Hey, i'm a lucky owner of my Seicane Head Unit for my old Honda Jazz.
I'm looking for a MCU file of my HU.
Right now i have MTCP_HF_V3.30_1 version
It's Android 9, PX5 device
If anyone can help with MCU file (or provide a list of file which is fully complatible with current one) i will really appreciate it.

mmm... MTCP? not MTCE?
Compatibility with MTCD/MTCE (this forum section) is not very clear...
BTW, this section is for the software development... you should ask in the general sections...

Yes, MTCP. As far as i understand P - is for 8-channel audio. Maybe there are some other differences, but this is the one i'm aware of.
Can you please share what you have? i will try to check if it can be flashed on my HU.
Thanks!
I have a MTCE_HF with MCU v. 3.30 (the latest known on the net), but I suspect it's not compatible with your HU, but anyway you have already a v 3.30, even if it's a v. 3.30_1 (for MTCP?).
Hello everyone. I received an updated Firmware directly from seicane for their head unit. This is Android 10 update for the 2/32 GB unit. Everything seems to be working great so far on unit. If you would like to try it for yourself please feel free to download and install. I'm not too tech savvy so if you have any questions I'll answer them the best I can. Thought I would share for anyone to update their own unit if possible
PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I will not be held responsible for any damages done to your own unit.
Thank you!

Hi all.
I would like to try the Hal9k rom update [ROM][PX3][RK3188][Nougat][7.1.2] Hal9k ROM 2 for ALL RK3188/PX3 MTCD/E head units.
I have an Erisin 3015v hu which is a PX3/ RK3188/ 1gb ram /2gb rom unit, MCU ver MTCD_LM_V1.56_1 Android 5.1.1.
Hal9k recommends updating to the latest MCU version before updating the ROM.
I have found MCU versions up to the lastest one I can see which is MTCD_LM_V3.06.
Does anybody know if there is a limit on how high you can go with MCU versions for units with this particular cpu / memory configuration.
Thanks
A little late but, it's always advisable to update your MCU to the highest (newest) available version (making sure it is the same letters)
eg: MTCE_GS_xxxx must be updated with an MTCE_GS_yyyy with higher yyyy's
You cannot update with MTCE_HS_yyyy as they have different letters
It is probably not a good idea to update MCU right before installing Hal9k or any other ROM. So like if you updated MCU, then straight away install new ROM, and then start experiencing new problems. You would have just made 2 pretty significant changes to your unit. How would you know which caused the new problems, the MCU update or the new ROM?
Perhaps a better approach would be to update MCU OR ROM first, run with that for a week or two, if no problems appear - then update the other.
As title. Was scouting around for updates and general info when I came across these MCU on a Russian site. I wondered if any of the coders here knew if they would be compatible?
Cheers
I have the same question..
I flashed MTCE from MTCD without issue but now the MTCH v3.80 (108kb) is half the size of the latest MTCE v3.79 (209kb) so if anyone can tell if it is recommended to upgrade of if its just compatible... if there are issues...
up... anyone..
Source 4pda, thread author and admin: MCU Firmware: cs-x:
You are trying to update the MCU firmware of your radio on the MTCE platform with firmware from another MTCH platform so know that these platforms are closely related from the same developer but still different (MCU microcontrollers are different and MCU firmware is different) , if you are lucky the update will fail otherwise the inclusion will stop working. The MCU may be repaired only with the help of a programmer.
Thanks understood
Hi All,
I have a MTCE unit in my car.
With some tinkering I've managed to unlock its potential, Swapping the launcher, customizing a bit and so on.
The only thing that bothers me a lot is that the units DPI or resolution is ridiculous, every app is barely usable everything is huge.
the units screen is 800x600
and this is its info:
Code:
Model
A-MEDIA AUTO (800x480 O)
Android version
6.0.1
Core version
3.10.0
[email protected] #1320
Build number
px5-userdebug 6.0.1 MXC89L user.hct 20180130.142324 test-keys
MCU version
MTCE_HZC_V2.75b_1
CPU
8 core 64-bit CPU Cortex-A53 @ 1.5G
Memory
2000 MB
after searching the forum and the internet:
there is no obvoius usb connection for ADB, or wireless ADB
only 2 sd slots and a mini usb connector that apparently doesnt even work
no root.
no secret menus with passwords in settings
is there any way I can change the DPI on this thing?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Your question is much better posted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/mtcd-software-development.7379/
I´ll ask a mod to move it to there. May be have a look around there.
BTW: You really need to upgrade your unit to at least Android 9.

It has a bit issues with the Memory, but I think it would work fine... and you would be able to root, or use a custom ROM with it.
The resolution is changed using the dmcu.ext file. Choose the resolution of your inclusion, copy dmcu.ext to the sd card and update the MCU.

If you want to update the MCU, then yes. Before updating, save the settings in the dmcu.cfg file, it is a backup of your settings, in case of problems with dmcu.cfg, you update the MCU and everything will return to the original settings. Factory settings/126/EXPORT, you can find the file in the root directory, take good care of it, save it to external storage.
