Hi all,
Not quite sure if any one is going to be able to help me here but I am getting desperate, Also if anyone can point me to a better place to post this please do as I am a n00b
The firmware I am looking for is for a ATM7013 WITH the home button, I have tried around 5 different firmware and all install but the touch screen does not work, Even the firmware the manufacture sent me still does not allow the touch screen to work..
These are the ones I have tried so far -
UPGRADE_FAST.FW - 4 Different versions!!
Also tried the firmware for EV009
I know the tablets are not faulty as I fully tested them before trying to re-install the firmware. The reason for reinstalling the software was to fix a wifi problem (or at least try)
These are customers tablets so I am really really desperate to fix.
I would really appreciate any help and input.
Thanks

hi from where you download it ?
thanx
hello,
i bought a samsung focus 2 from ebay not knowing it was originally a store demo model. it was on the 7.5 OS but was able to force the 7.8 official release onto it (just kept doing the update till it went through). but it didn't fix the issue with it loading the demo software once it would boot back up. i have followed all the ideas posted on here about doing soft/hard resets but know the info is stored on a portion of the phone that updates won't overwrite.
i have done my searches on here and they were never answered by the person who started the thread and were quite old as well. is there a generic ROM i can load that will block the demo or does anyone know how i can hack the phone (bootloader, registry) to stop or delete this nonsense.
i cannot get my money back for this phone as the person deleted their ebay/paypal account. i have been on the phone with both and it's just not going to happen. so my only option is to hack the phone.... i don't want to sell it to someone else knowing it has this problem as i know it will come back on me and i just don't have it in me to rip someone off like i was basically just done.
i'm extremely noob when it comes to hacking a phone or registry so would need it in simple instructions.
it seems like a nice phone and would be a great backup so i don't want to brick it or break it. i would like to eventually use it so anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
this is the white samsung focus 2 SGH-I667
now that i look, i'm not 100% sure it actually updated to 7.8. it says it on the about screen, but it feels like it's still on 7.5... how can i be sure it's updated or not.
thanks !
Go to windowsphonehacker.com and try the tutorial for installing custom ROM in Samsung phones.
(I can't post the link because I'm a new member)
7.8 has resizable tiles like wp8, check your start screen
I have the same problem. I bought the demo phone for my wife ): Did you solved ? Thank you.

if you can find a custom rom for this device then that will do the trick but having looked at the focus 2 forum, it seems to be a device that has received no attention at all!
There are no unlocks, no roms, no nothing!
Mabie the other WP hacking sites might have one but on here there's nothing for that phone, strange!
I'm fooled by the eBay seller. I do not want to cheat someone else.
I can't believe that no one wants to solve the problem with the second generation of Samsun Focus phones!
I'm willing to pay. Just to have functional phone

Hi There I was just reading your post. I think you have a Focus 2? Well I have a Samsung Focus S, and it is also on demo mode, just finished debranding it and interloping it also. I also just finished disabling the demo mode. Don't know if it can also work on the Focus 2, it is just a registry edit. maybe it can work for you. If you still need help email me at [email protected]
Hi all,
I bought a Chinese tablet from Focalprice, waited three weeks for it to arrive only to find there's something wrong with the screen. It's really washed out. When tilted it's light at the top and dark at the bottom. If I flip it over it's dark at the top and light at the bottom! If in Portrait it's noticeably brighter one side and darker the other. It's just... weird!
Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting Samsung quality when I bought this for sixty quid, but I was expecting to be able to see whatever's on the screen! I tried playing Candy Crush on it last night and I managed about 5 minutes before my eyes went wonky!
I've attached some photo's so you can get an idea (sorry they're not great!).
I've opened an RMA with Focalprice but they're just jerking me about so I thought I'd see if it's fixable.
Here are the details of the tablet:
Make: V100q
Model #: rk30sdk
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.0.36+ [email protected] #442 Tues Oct 22 12:40:31 CST 2013
Build #: rk30sdk-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng-edward.20131105.205030 test-keys
I was going to try one of Oma's roms but I can't even get CWM to install properly.
*Sigh* I only wanted it for comic books. :crying:
Any help gratefully received.

Sorry, dude. It seems You have to learn the hard way. As a german saying goes: If You buy cheap, You will buy twice or triple.
Have you rooted it yet?
First off, I'd suggest you inquire with any other owners of this same tab, and check with them if only your device is faulty, or if that's the case with every model of that tab.
If everyone else owning this tab has the same problem, most probably its a software problem. You might wanna play around with root brightness adjusters, and/or Chainfire3d (CF3D is not officially supported for your android version, make sure to take backup of stock rom before doing anything!).
Your best bet would be to raise hell with Focalprice. Make sure to do a full unroot if you're sending it in for warranty!

Thanks, that was really constructive.
I'm sure I'm not the only member who's bought a Chinese tablet, I only wanted to know if I can fix the problem or not before I try and send it back. I realise it's a matter of "You get what you pay for" but reviews seemed to suggest this was a good tablet for it's price.

Thanks mate, this is more what I was hoping for in response!
I have rooted it, but couldn't find any program to help with the problem. Could you recommend a brightness adjuster?
I can't get CWM to work properly and ADB just refuses to see this tablet.
I've been playing around with devices for around 10 years so I'm not a n00b with these things, but this tablet just won't play ball!
I'm trying like mad with Focalprice, even said I'd so a chargeback, but they're not budging!

Fair enough. Things don't always translate well online, so we'll call it a misunderstanding eh?

Haha, you're welcome.
RootDim works fine, you can find it on the Play Store.
Is your tab a MediaTek device? If so, which one? You will need MTK VCOM drivers for chinese tabs which you will have to install manually. I will provide links if it's a MTK device. Also, if it's an MTK device, you can use rua1's auto-CWM builder to get a fully functional CWM yourself in a minute
Thanks, will check out RootDim.
How would I find out if it's MediaTek? The info in my first post is all I can find.

Download the latest SP Flash Tool from here. Insert your stock rom's scatter loading file (will be in .txt format) into SP Flash Tool, and it will tell you which MTK model it is.
Should look something like this-
Once you find that, let me know. Please do reply by quoting my last post, so that I get a notification and can get back to you asap.
Tried RootDim but it just darkens or lightens the screen, doesn't help with the colour. Anything else I can try?
Edit: Oops, didn't see your reply! Will try that, but like I said, I can't get my PC to see the tablet so... I'll get back to you!
Hi again,
I know it's been some time since I started this thread, but hoping you (or someone else who's looking!) could still help?
I finally worked out how to get the scatter file and this is the result I got:
No matter what I try I cannot get access to ADB Shell with the tablet connected via USB so I downloaded ADB Wireless from Google Play and was able to connect that way.
I've tried installing CWM from here: http://androtab.info/clockworkmod/rockchip/install/ Tried from SD but no go. Also tried using a terminal on the tablet and root shell, again no luck.
I think I've discovered that to enter recovery I press PWR and Vol- for 2-3 secs and it enters something, but the screen's blank. It'll show up in device manager as "Rockusb" but I still can't get any programs to see it.
I've tried half a dozen different drivers and none seem to work. Am I stuffed? Or is there something really simple I'm missing?
Cheers!
Edit: Little update since I posted. I decided to pop the tablet open and take a look at the actual chip. Turns out it's a Rockchip RK3168 and not the RK3066 I thought it was (based on information I gathered via t'interweb). Not sure it's that big of a deal, but thought it was worth mentioning in case it is!

No one have any suggestions?
Greetings. I've been trying to remove those sounds by myself, but it seems that I will need some help/advice on that.
First - it's a Mi4c, running lollipop 5.1.1, MIUI 7.4 /6.5.5 | Beta.
The device is not rooted (yet  ). The reason "why" mostly comes from the old saying "If it ain't broken - don't fix it". Lately I've been using a rooted phone for the past 3 years and I don't really saw much benefits for my type of abusing so I've been perfectly happy with the new device without the extra power, so I haven't decided yet. Partly this, and partly the valid warranty
I have found the apk-file, where the two sounds are located, extracted them and left the copies blank. The problem comes when I try to replace the originals with the ones I have made. Now, I know that some of the properties of the files have changed, but I wanted to try this easy fix anyway. But the MIUI isn't letting me maybe because I am not rooted yet.
The question is - is there another workaround for that little sound problem, or I should dig deeper and try to root the phone?
Thank you in advance for your time reading this.
I am sorry, but this thread seems to be doubling an older one. I don't know how it slipped through my searches, but apparently I haven't used the right search words
This can be merged, locked or deleted without hesitation. Thank you.

Hello! i have a few questions so i decided to ask them in one thread so that it doesnt seem spamming.
what is the main issue of the device to miss touches? (i live in KSA and im running SA oreo)
what can be done to solve it (potentially)?
can Devs here look into it and fix it?
is sony aware of this? can we raise our voice like we did for camera distortion?
the device is an absolute beast but it kinda hurts me that i spend 700$ hard earned dollars on a phone that just misses touches. im an fps gamer on android and this is really a big problem for me. already unlocked ,rooted and drm fixed. so far i tried many nougat and oreo firmwares from different regions but once the firmware is installed the phone doesnt miss touches but after some time they start mising it. even if i install my apps or not. so it is none of my apps causing this. already tried almost everything like using different version of play services, removing all useless system apps. enable doze mode for all system apps. clear cache and dalvik from recovery. etc etc.
your answers are much appreciate pls help.
please somebody answer

its not hardware issue. a lot of people have it. someone mentioned that it is caused because the phone is slowing down out of nowhere because the software wrongly optimizes it for region.
