I can no longer make calls without using a wired or bluetooth headset because the other party cannot hear me. Confirmed by trying Google voice search and attempting to record voice using the sound recorder. In addition, auto rotate no longer works; the camera will only ever take pics in portrait mode and holding the phone horizontal doesn't change the orientation of the icons. Same problem with any other app that detects orientation, from web browser to Youtube (manually making Youtube fullscreen works as landscape).
I haven't dropped the phone or subject it to any physical impact either.
I have tried to downgrade the firmware by flashing each individual extracted image file to its corresponding partition using fastboot, and now I have the older update from September, but the problem persists. Is there a fix?

Hello,
I´m trying to change Phone/Dialer application that is set by default in Cruise because of compatibility problem with internal or front speaker.
I don’t known if it is possible or the way to do it.
Can somebody help me, please?
Thanks in advance.
Exactly what is the compatibility issue that you're having with the default dialer skin on the Cruise? Are you sure the dialer is the source of whatever speaker issue you might be having?
Aside from the serious lag when painting the dialer I haven't heard/seen any problems with the dialer.
Many times, when receiving or making phone calls, internal or front speark don’t works. I have read others users with the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381610
But, when making or receiving a call, if you press several times external speaker or hands free button on display, it will work again.
I have note that this happen when you are working with an application that uses only external speaker (for example Tom Tom, Compe Pocket, etc.). I suppose that this application mutes or shutdown internal or front speaker and Cruise´s phone/dialer application don´t make it works again. But, pressing several times that display bottom it works again.
I am looking for another software for Calling or handling Cruise´s phone in order to test this theory.
Yeah i saw your post in the other thread. i have not had that problem. did you try stopping all other applications to see if when they are killed they release the front speaker?
Just trying to find out if anyone else has these issues yet.
Phone Reboots frequently
Mic Will not detect voice when car is moving
Applications that don’t flip to landscape:

Home Sceen (can be fixed with 3rd party launcher)
Some applications will cause the screen to lock after a while
When calls end it goes to call log not back to Dock application
No night mode for navigation
Screen Will Shut off in dock app causing you to have to touch it an extra time to wake it before issuing a voice command

It sounds like your complaints are software related? I wouldn't consider this a problem with the dock.

I have a problem with my mic picking up the sound of my car. I believe its the combination of my aftermarket intake, as well as my aftermarket exhaust. Both make it difficult to have a conversation on the phone in general.
Id love night mode for navigation for sure!!!

Well its the mic on the Doc, I have a Stock Scion XB so its the road noise I am assuming. I have found quite a few posts about the random restarts also. I restored my phone today and will See if it helps with the restarts.
except for the restarting the are all software/feature issues. But they are only Problems when in the car Dock.
Hi guys, as per title, I am suffering with the problem. The stereo recording becomes inverted. It suppose to be top mic = left ch, and bottom mic = right ch, but it's doing the upside down, is it affected only to me? I got Note 2 running CM also having this problem but after flashing back to stock and it was okay. Current ROM CM11 Nightlies, I can't upgrade to Lollipop due to I need some Xposed module for my app to work.
--Happens in Landscape mode. If use inverse landscape, the stereo recording is fine, but I don't want to hold my phone inverse landscape while taking video recording.
Same as this issue on JIRA, but no solution, sigh: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-4301

No idea what you are talking about because it only works that way. The only thing I see is that you prefer to hold your phone in way that reverses the recording?
(Still don't know what that affects) but I'm pretty sure if you reversed the values in your mixer_paths.xml file in /system/etc/ it would work that way?

Don't forget to hit thanks!
Hi.
I need to start and stop video recording remotely. I tried to use the wired headset, I can start and stop the video with the volume buttons, but the stock camera app is using the headset's mic instead of the internal mic which is not good for me.
I installed soundabout from playstore, I tried to disable the detection of the mic of the headset, but the camera app is still using the headset mic...
I installed camera remote from playstore - I have android wear smartwatch - it's working fine, but it can't record in FullHD with 60 FPS.
Any suggestions?

I'm thinking tasker or automate it, there's a camera plug in for automate it but it only seems to take pics not video, there's bound to be a way to do it.

I'm recording squash games, the phone is on glass, and I need to start and stop after each game without taking the phone off from the glass.
I even tried with bluetooth headset, but the volume buttons on the BT headset do not control the camera application at all, it's adjusting the volume...
Maybe I need to use a 3rd party camera application, but neither I tried is able to record in 60 fps fullhd. I don't understand why, I think the capability of the camera can be queried by the application, so all is needed to let the user choose from the settings the camera is capable of. But it seems camera application developers are hard coding the formats I can choose from.
Hello,
trying the video camera with third party apps, i noticed this weird squeak sound while autofocusing
clip here: youtu.be/bNSNSiVkiQg
with the native camera app i don't have this problem, but the stereo sound is inverted! even weirder: it does this from the second video i record after i reboot the phone. the first one is fine, then they all have audio inverted right<->left
any advice? (other than factory reset)
can you please test if you have the same issue? if it is, it mean it is a problem of the device itself and should be noted to huawei.
it's easy checking the left/right channel simply by blowing on the sides of the phone (lower mic is right, upper mic is left) with the audio recorder app it works always fine. with video, you need to make at least 2 of them because the problem comes from the second one. at least for me...
thanks

thanks! have you tested with the video app or with the audio recording app? if with video it's like this and with the audio recorder it's bottom/right; upper/left. i'm not the only one.
edit. also, turning the phone while recording (bottom to the right or to the left in portrait mode), it's always swapped. when bottom is to the right, audio of that side is on the left, and vice versa

thanks a lot!
if the third party camera app audio issue is confirmed too, we may confirm another "fature"... :/
i did the video with google camera (but also tried cinema fv-5) and the auto focusing noise it there, not always, but most of the time. expecially when it struggles focusing.
anyone willing to try? this is not as easy to reproduce, but definitely there.
hi all,
testing again, I noticed that the noise is most likely mechanical. it is possible to ear it in a silent environment while switching from camera to video with the stock camera app.
here's a recording of it
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzRd4ezyPZACZXY4WkoyREFESnM/view?usp=drivesdk
it's the same of the video in the opening post youtu.be/bNSNSiVkiQg
can you guys check if it's a common problem? the customer service just keep saying to factory reset, but that does nothing... (also cleaned camera app cache many times)
thanks

Did you ever solve this, or is it purely hardware? I noticed a horrible squeak on PA Rom and on 3rd party cameras on stock.
It's hardware, cannot solve this
