Question Samsung Personalization Service won't activate. - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I cannot activate the Samsung personalization service (settings / general management / personalization service). I keep getting the "check your network connection and try again" error and it doesn't work. I've already cleared the app's data, cache, I've even restored the device and nothing works. Can someone help me? Samsung S22 Ultra (Sm-S908E/DS) updated as of January 2023.

Hi, did you try it in Safe Mode (just in case...)

I've got the same issue - S22+ I just reset to refresh it and now I have the same issue.

Yes... Same problem. Even flashing rom again the problem persists.

Maybe it is not available in your region. Contact Samsung support

I reset the device - but overnight it seems to be working again!
@agasin is yours working now too?

It's working. I reset the device. I set it up without registering any Google account and also no Samsung account. So I went to settings and tried to activate the service. I registered the Samsung account there... Now it's working.

My last suggestion would be to check Google Settings<Android Device Manager and enable the two options.
If this doesn't work then you could try clearing Google Play Services data as per this suggestion.
It seems an update to Google Play Services can sometimes disable the Device Manager.

Half my drop-down menu settings are gone [Pic]

Hi
I got my phone back and recovered it through a backup from TWRP.
Everything went smooth, besides half my drop-down menu settings are gone. Anyone with similar problems?
Attached picture. Missing things like Mobile Data on/off

the spotify app.. nothing else
I can't understand how it can disappear without any update. Like Samsung sat a date in the system it should disappear on
Maybe it's there when we wake up tomorrow.
i am now having this problem, the phone rebooted itself which has been reported on the net by lots of people and after i downloaded an app i noticed that this mobile data icon has disappeared. i have about 32 gb of space left on my phone so i dont understand what has happened here.
happened to me to today , 920i not rooted, Saudi Arabia
So what was the point of OTA update? What's changed beside disappearing toggles?
I'm having the same issue here in Ireland since yesterday. Spoke with Samsung support and they said factory reset should fix it but I haven't done it yet
Has anyone tried a factory reset to see if it worked?

I've read that some people tested it and factory reset is not working as far as i know... If you have rooted your phone, there are some solutions exist. Otherwise, we have to wait for a fix.

Force oreo update

For those having problemsUPDATING to oreo, after the minor update 68m, make a factory reset and the update of oreo will come up!!enjoy
Thanks!! It work
True story. I tried updating and could not find an update (I cleared the carrier services and google framework but that did not work). I did a factory reset and when I went and manually checked for the update after getting to the home screen it found the update.
Thanks OP.
I cleared the google framework services, restarted the phone, then manually checked for updates 2x, after 1 min or so i got the oreo notification =)
Is the update available is all countries? Cause I can't get it

Or just use a vpn and spoof your country. Worked for me. I cleared the framework but still got no update. Spoofed my country to US Central. Boom I get the update.

That was more trouble that I was hoping for to get my Oreo update, but it was the only method that worked for me! Thanks for sharing
The VPN method doesn't seem to work for me. I tried both Orbot and Psiphon. Services Framework isn't listed in my Apps list either. I checked my mom's Moto G4 - it doesn't have it either. How did you guys manage to find it?

Question Bluetooth problem in Xiaomi 12t (not the pro model)

Hi all,
I am using miui global version 13.0.5
I had some problems with the Bluetooth where when I turn on the Bluetooth it cant scan any other Bluetooth device and when I use another Bluetooth device to scan, my 12t is not found.
But, when I just got the phone the Bluetooth still worked properly.
I already reset the network, wifi, and Bluetooth, I already cleared Bluetooth data, and restart the phone.
Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks

If there was a rom update and it worked before, that's probably it.
I've had similar issues with watches and only factory resetting the watch fixed the problem.

You are using an Indonesian rom and have the latest version.
Try reinstalling the package.
Update/3 dots top right.

Surely, but have you tried with several devices to be sure that it does not come from this side.
And have you tried connection sharing with Bluetooth?

Question Phone always removes permissions of apps

My phone removes permissions of apps always after a few days, sometimes after a reboot. Today this was the case after installing the new os update.
This is most problematic for bitwarden and my file manager. It's the "manage all files permission" and the "overlay over other apps permission". I already made sure, that the permission removal option is off.
Any ideas why this happens?

Since you have already checked this setting, it appears to be a software bug, since it started after an update.

Actually, this did not start after an update, but usually the permissions get removed after updates or restarts. I had this issue since the beginning - I bought it about 3 weeks ago.

I guess this is Android 13 problem. I see similar problems on my OnePlus 8T and iQOO Neo 6, and both of them are running on Android 13. Some of the settings get reset after a reboot and I have to reconfigure everything from scratch. Pretty annoying.
Thanks for your reply. I found something similar here:

Maybe I'll try to factory reset.

Factory reset is unlikely to solve this problem.
This bug must be fixed by Google, or the OEM since they have their own implementation. I don't have this problem on my S22U, but I do have it on my OnePlus and iQOO phones.
