Question Xiaomi 12 Battery Life - Xiaomi 12

Hi all!
I'm getting pretty bad SOT with my Xiaomi 12, 5-6 hours SOT maximum, with no games, 4/5G, Bluetooth...
Does anyone know how the battery life on the Xiaomi.eu rom compares to the official rom on the regular Xiaomi 12?
In terms of SOT.
I would like to switch to Xiaomi.eu, but would not do it if the battery is still bad.
Would appreciate your guys' opinions.
Thank you!

You do not specify which rom, but the A13 roms have improved autonomy.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I am on the official MIUI Global 13.2.3 Stable version.
I'm waiting for a proper functional custom ROM to show up, if there's ever gonna be any, something like Evo X or PixelExperience, maybe LineageOS.
Until then, I was hoping someone might share their experience with Xiaomi.eu.

Xiaomi eu stable rom https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv14/
Xiaomi eu rom weekly https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...omi.eu/MIUI-WEEKLY-RELEASES/V14.0.23.1.9.DEV/
I have a 12 pro and since A13 my autonomy has gone from 24h to 30/35 hours with a Xiaomi eu rom but I guess it's the same with a stock one.

Hi I am running the official mi 12 miui 14. 0.5 pilot rom since last week and its just a bit better for me

I would be very happy with 8 hours SOT on this phone! As it stands right now, I get around 5-6 hours, no gaming, no 5G or Bluetooth... Really disappointing for 4050 mah battery on such a small phone.

forget to mention statistic is mostly with only 30% brightness because it's wintertime at my place right now. For summer I assume a displaytime of 6-8hrs instead of 11-12hrs now.

Yeah, I suppose brightness and the refresh rate play a huge role as well.
How's your experience with MIUI 14 other than that? Any noticeable positive or negative changes?
I was considering joining the pilot program myself, but this is the first time I've met someone who already uses it and might provide feedback.

Not a good idea:https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/miui-14-global-beta-stable-14-0-3-any-good-opinion.4542647/
Install a Xiaomi Eu rom/stable/Weekly Mui 14 A13 instead.

I'm on the edge of trying the Xiaomi.eu weekly rom. Do you know if I can go back to stock ROM and lock the bootloader afterwards if I want?

You have a Global version, you could re-lock the bootloader if Xiaomi EU rom does not suit you.

That's nice to know, thanks!
I might give it a go in a few days when I have some spare time.

Important:
The finalization of the unlocking generally takes 168 hours, sometimes less / sometimes more.
This operation will erase your data and the same for the first installation of a Xiaomi Eu rom.

@NOSS8 do you maybe know if the normal flashing process works when going back to stock?
For example, I don't like xiaomi.eu and want to go to stock - can I just flash the stock ROM through TWRP?
Also, I suppose this is the TWRP I need: https://sourceforge.net/projects/recovery-for-xiaomi-devices/files/cupid/ ?

To install a Xiaomi Eu you will need this TWRP (or not https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/hybrid-roms-the-end-of-recovery-fastboot-roms.67987/#post-683193).
To return to a stock rom and lock the bootloader or not, use

@NOSS8 you seem to be really familiar with Xiaomi! Do you know if there's a safe method to debloat Xiaomi 12?

Your best for now is one of the MIUI, the problem is it's a mtk chip and they don't like to share there source code, so your left with broken ports . My last phone which was a jiayu s3 had the same maker of chip but they also had the mad team developing some of the best Roms.

Team MAD are working for jiayu germany so they made a petition for the source code and they got it. That's why they were capable of making so many good ROMs
There are:
Miui su
Miui greek
Miui it
Jiayu is sadly dead, hangs our heads in silence, for the passing of a great device.
The mad team is still developing for the s3, I wish they would patition Xiaomi for the source code as I am not a fan of MIUI.
What MIUI is the least buggy least bloatware? I'm using global right now

No I have the global ROM not sure if it is the global ROM as it was intended by the developers and nothing else added, but I have the global ROM with kk launcher as I couldn't live with MIUI as it is, but for some reason my recent capacitive button sometimes stops and won't work till I hold the power button till it shuts off and rebooted.
I think I'm going to put .EU ROM on with weekend.
Hey it's me again still on global had to use root uninstaller to remove UC browser and UC news, can I uninstall cheetah mobile clean master and cleaner?
Does the EU ROM have these apps baked in.
If I flash the EU ROM is it a flash tool ROM or TWRP?
Thanks

Is there stupid apps installed like UC browser and UC news? Also I wish they would leave that security apps and stuff out.
I like UC browser but it shouldn't be a system App, and the security apps and cleaners is pointless, I wish they would make a global or EU slim ROM, if people are rooting and installing the ROM of there choice I'm sure they know what they want.
You can customize globe rom, in the option rom builder, you can check or uncheck the options like e-mail,browser,miui components etc....

I don't think so....
but maybe ist my fault, cause since it's an apk file I cannot flash it with twrp.
first attempt I placed apk in /system_root/system/app, but I think that is worng destination.
I don't see /system in twrp even if I try to mount it, but I'm not sure if I do it correctly...I just checked system in Mount option but didn't hit "disable MTP"
will now try to copy the file with mixplorer to /system/app, cuase i can see it there...
but I really don't know if this will change... feeling a bit lost right now ^^
edit:
just did so, but I don't see any difference in yt-vanced. so I think it didn't work....
Is there any way to know for sure if the installed app is the rooted version?

No. Custom roms here are free and will always will be unless said by a maintainer and I have never seen a paid custom rom. Some roms want you to pay to lock bootloader like Jaguar ROM and Pixel Experience, you can lock bootloader depending on your device but thats pretty much it for the paying stuff and that's it

Some roms want you to pay to lock bootloader like Jaguar ROM and Pixel Experience, you can lock bootloader depending on your device but thats pretty much it for the paying stuff and that's it

If that's the case do you know why I keep getting unauthorized download error. Tried it on both my phone and PC. I'm currently on Evo but want to give this a whirl. Thanks

Check my post here #70
Anyone noticing the volume in call is just really really loud at minimum volume with the ROM? Even on speaker phone or in ear, it's just way too loud.
I have been using this rom for about 4 days and its been very dependable all around. Only problem for me is that Dolby Atmos doesnt seem to work. I am unrooted and use no mods. Anyone with the same issue?

If doesn't helped, remove updates from AndroidSystemWebView app, somewhere in apps>all apps>three dots>show system apps. Otherwise you will see just user applications.

i wrote to you in pm, please help me
You can try to install any older version if yours doesn't work correctly https://apkpure.com/mi-home/com.xiaomi.smarthome/versions and have you enabled all notification options exactly in Mi Home app profile?

Yes all enabled, installing older version make appear some options in categories, but no notifications at all, also replacing with newer version
Have you tried to change MiHome region settings (China, Singapore, ...) or some times login/logout your mi account , then wait for 10min and test... Some times mi servers are to busy

already saw that threads, i have 2 phones with same locales in build.prop, in one phone mi push notifications work, in other not, so is not related to this
Sometimes locale and region are not easy to find, there is lots of *build.prop files, you can check the difference by using setedit/settings database editor app and also firmware can make a problems Global/European/Indian and so on.
Actually there is some sort of bug where is impossible receive mi home push notification (very important for security cameras and sensors) on poco x3 pro and latest miui 14 from xiaomi.eu
in first pic you can see that the categorie is missing (this app hasnt received any notifications), in fact no notifications
in second pic you can see xiaomi home categorie is there, and notifications work!
on x3 pro i am actually in the first pic situation, if you don't have mi home push notifications check there what you have
please xiaomi.eu team fix this problem in some way, or report the problem to xiaomi
Don't open another tread with the same problem... On first pic, option is not active because I don't have any MiH device... Second one mean that you heve one or more, and you can enter this option and manage... Should look something like:
Spoiler: example

what phone and rom you use?
Poco X3 pro off course, 13.0.3EAA... if you are on early 14.0.1-0.2 it's not a big surprise. But my best friend have the same phone and version and using MiH devices on 14.0.2, hi told me everything works fine... First time I jumped to 13 from 12 using small update package, it was lagging like a boss and after I updated with full rom (without loosing data), all bugs disappeared.

General BEST CUSTOM ROMS FOR POCO X3 PRO

If you aren't an advanced user and just want a daily stable device, I recommend you to use Xiaomi.eu or Stock (you will need Zygisk to bypass Play Integrity/Safetynet)
I've been using this phone for more than a year and I've tried many roms, so here are the best ROMs in my
opinion.
0. Stock ROM: it's not custom and ships with bloatware, but it's the most stable one and least bugs has. If you want a locked bootloader and max security use this.
1. Xiaomi.eu: Best custom ROM with a lot of enhancements, the best option if you don't want root.
2. LineageOS: the second best custom rom for this device but it needs Magisk and setup a lot of things to work well, if you are an advanced user I recommend you this rom.
3. Arrow OS: AOSP ROM with a very smooth performance.
4. EliteROM Stable: MIUI ROM based in Xiaomi.eu, it has little visual bugs.
5. Crdroid: AOSP ROM based in Lineage, NFC don't work with Mifare Classic and has more visual bugs than Arrow, it has a great performance in games.
6. Evolution X: AOSP ROM, it has visual bugs and your device maybe gets hot, but it's very good in gaming.
Honorable mentions:
- LineageOS for microG
- Divest OS
- /e/
I've been using LineageOS for almost 2 years now, can you please ellaborate on the issues you're facing with it? I never experienced issues and i'm very curious to hear about your story.

It doesn't bypass Safetynet by default, userdebug ROM, bugs in launcher when clicking home button, NFC and Bluetooth don't work.
Also, if you are using LineageOS for 2 years, which firmware version are you using?

Safetynet pass by default is correct, that's intended, but can we worked around. I have not experienced the launcher bug. NFC and Bluetooth work for me!
I was on LOS 18.1 with firmware 12.0.3.0 i think, now im using 13.0.3.0 with LOS 19.1
Maybe those issues were there when it was still unofficial, but is has been official since 1.5 years or so

I will give a try with V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM firmware
I have a few additions to my last comment:
I am on global firmware.
SystemUI seems to crash (sometimes) when replying on messages via notification
OTA sometimes results in a bootloop, though you only have to reflash gapps and sometimes magisk + enable data on play store again.
I used 13.0.5 or 13.0.9 firmware and experienced random reboots but not on 13.0.3
Seriously haven't found anything weird other than those things

Yeah still testing it, also seems to happen when the motherboard is dying because of the solder, but so far 13.0.3 seems stable. Not completely sure if it was the firmware yet.
You said that "almost everything" works on Arrow. Can you elaborate? I'm seriously considering installing a custom ROM.

In Arrow 13.1 most of the bugs are visual. I never had problems with apps or the system stability. Also great performance and battery live.
I'm in need of orientation, so if anyone could guide me please
I have an x3 pro and I've been looking for the nearest pure android rom to get rid of mui14
My only issue with miui is that in the developers options there isn't any quick mozaic/tile to shut off the phone's sensors (cameras and mic are the ones i want to shut off). Is there any way to shut them off? (only software methods). If not could anyone please recommend me the best rom in order to replace miui?

The MIUI rom is so good that I can't find in Google, so for sure it's another crap custom rom with a lot of bugs.
And rising os is another cancer.
I don't recommend any of them.
I don't recommend the stock rom so much due to the deadboot issue that is occuring in Poco X3 Pro due to high temps even at idle. Xiaomi.eu is not pretty bad but second space feature (Multi-User) is not simple. Arrow OS being AOSP is still a good pick for me.
So you must not have tested RemakSo you must not have tested Remak
For me after months of testing the best is CrDroid 9 + NGK Kernel + X3 Pro profiles for NGK kernel, it has battery and gaming profile made specaily for Poco X3 Pro.
Second is xiaomi.eu if you want MIUI but it has problems locking apps in background, system kills some of them, I heard it's a long time bug on MIUI and xiaomi.eu
Third is maybe Evolution X if you want good AOSP with some useful features.
Arrow and Lineage is probably good, never used them because they are too minimal for my taste.
