Hello , i'm on MIUI8.1 by xiaomi.eu6.9.8.beta ,
hoping for a slimrom based on AOSP , cyanogen or NOUGAT rom , that would be nice !
I've received my phone last friday and it was on global rom. Rooted it and installed TWRP yesterday in flashboot .
What rom is the best for now ? looking for good battery life and stability, no bloatware, root and gapps incorperated .I'm living in Europe ,Belgium
It's a great phone and with a good developed rom it would be awesome!!!!!!!
Thanks to all devs working on redmi pro.

Your best for now is one of the MIUI, the problem is it's a mtk chip and they don't like to share there source code, so your left with broken ports . My last phone which was a jiayu s3 had the same maker of chip but they also had the mad team developing some of the best Roms.

Team MAD are working for jiayu germany so they made a petition for the source code and they got it. That's why they were capable of making so many good ROMs

There are:
Miui su
Miui greek
Miui it

Jiayu is sadly dead, hangs our heads in silence, for the passing of a great device.
The mad team is still developing for the s3, I wish they would patition Xiaomi for the source code as I am not a fan of MIUI.
What MIUI is the least buggy least bloatware? I'm using global right now

Any one that is on global, or just in general does any one have problems with the capacitive touch buttons ? Mine will stop working till a hard reboot

Never had any problem with touch screen, neither on "global" (china you mean?) nor on xiaomi.eu :fingers-crossed:

No I have the global ROM not sure if it is the global ROM as it was intended by the developers and nothing else added, but I have the global ROM with kk launcher as I couldn't live with MIUI as it is, but for some reason my recent capacitive button sometimes stops and won't work till I hold the power button till it shuts off and rebooted.
I think I'm going to put .EU ROM on with weekend.

Hey it's me again still on global had to use root uninstaller to remove UC browser and UC news, can I uninstall cheetah mobile clean master and cleaner?
Does the EU ROM have these apps baked in.
If I flash the EU ROM is it a flash tool ROM or TWRP?
Thanks

Xiaomi Redmi PRO, Repair boot.
Needing help. I'm with a Xiaomi Redmi PRO, I installed some ROM wrong, it was not the global one it was a brazilian rom and now it's dead no more. Some help on how to repair the device boot

For now,Afther installing a few Different roms, i'm now on global.rom 8.3 7.2.23/beta. Downloaded from Mi.globe. I think its the best rom at the moment, for battery life and performance, arround 1.5 to 1.8 free ram free.

Is there stupid apps installed like UC browser and UC news? Also I wish they would leave that security apps and stuff out.
I like UC browser but it shouldn't be a system App, and the security apps and cleaners is pointless, I wish they would make a global or EU slim ROM, if people are rooting and installing the ROM of there choice I'm sure they know what they want.

You can customize globe rom, in the option rom builder, you can check or uncheck the options like e-mail,browser,miui components etc....

MultiRom is very well known and considered one of the best customised MIUI. Why would it be a scam?

This rom is basically a global developer, more so than even xiaomi.eu, since there are less modifications. No Chinese apps, battery life is variable on the releases, which are weekly. Keep in mind that their community is only in Russian, so this could be a problem.

Look forward to your review.
How many roms/different versions have you used btw on prime?
I found eur rom 8.1.3 is the 'best' battery and to last longest compared to the other ones I tried... I using 8.1.3 again.
Epic was ok/good though battery for some reason didn't seem so good.

Hi guys. Here's my review of this fantastic ROM. Generally I'm impressed by this rom. It's almost perfect. Everything works. After trying all available roms for 4 prime this one looks the best of all. The battery is as great as the global 8.2.4 which was great too. You can see the details in screen shots. I have charged it 77 percent and that's the details. I rooted and flashed xposed on it too and they work fine. Titanium works great. ( not working on official global roms even after I rooted them and that's why I switched to this from global.) the other strong point of this is the ram management. Ram is 1.5 gigabytes free as you see. This was just 1 gig in other roms. Swipe up gesture to start searching which is only available on China developer roms works on this too so no need to install nova launcher for having this great feature. By the way I have used lineage and mokee too but I like this one best. Let me know if there's any question.

No. The system partition will be overwritten when you flash the Rom. If you wipe system before flashing MR build it may show 'failed to extract /system' error. Rebooting to recovery again is a solution then.

See /system/media/audio folder for available sounds. See if it's not empty. If you can't set any external sound files as ring/alarm, that may be a bug to look into. I was just sharing this rom here and in no way is related to MR development team. Hope things gets fixed in the release next.

Can I downgrade from v7.5.11 to Multirom v7.5.4 by just wiping cache and dalvic cache?
I'm on v9.5.3.0 (the latest one)
this ROM has more awesome performance than the other with MIUI based custom ROM (even with Oreos)
I'd like to be honest to say this but that's the fact

but there's one bug... crackling audio cam recording still there since v8.x.x
unfortunately i couldn't find the fixes patch for v9 (tried to flash patch for v8 but not helping)
can someone please provide me the fixes patch for v9?
hello!any news with crackling audio cam recording? also this latest rom build is based on 9.5.3.0?I didn't understand sorry..
Can't access to multirom site, any help will be much appreciated!

Quick question, if I go back to stock and update to Oreo, will that relock the bootloader?
I forgot to get my unlock code before Huawei stopped providing them and I didn't back up the one I've generated when I originally unlocked it.

Hi @OldDroid, after all I want to say thank you for the time and effort spent in this kind of developments!!
I am wondering if you are working along phhusson in the treble project. I want to know this because in one hand in phhusson treble project are a lot a different ROMs that would be great to have in the P9 and in the other hand I read that this ROMs have some problems with P9 (I haven't tested myself) and lack of the stock camera for example. If I didn't missunderstood yours treble ROMs works perfect and also have the stock camera. Would be great to combine both of the advantages of each other.
Regards!

Incase anyone is wondering I will update this rom whenever Mi 6X Pixel Experience receives and update.
Why you opened so many threads about this rom?

I have had them deleted now, I thought the upload failed so I tried to re-upload but accidentally created many threads.

This rom is a port of official Pixel Experience for Mi 6X, this means it is more stable, it has all the features found in an official Pixel Experience rom and unlike all the other PE roms that don't get updated I'll be porting every single update. Also this rom contains face unlock and doesn't need magisk to pass safety net.

This is the AOSP version but I might port the Plus version in the future.
I have decided that since Mi Pad 4 already had a build of Pixel Experience I will port and update Pixel Experience Plus.
Edit: PE is more stable than PE Plus so for now I'll port from this but if there is enough demand I'll port PE Plus
Rom is quite good but it has a very high battery drain. It could be solved with Magisk and any kernel manager app and changing cpu's governor, which is set by default to performance.
P.s. sorry for my bad english
why removed messages and dialer? i use my tablet for sms and other stuff..
After installing, I'm stuck on the "G" loading screen and it won't progress. Any ideas?

In new build they will return, I removed them since I have a WiFi tablet but I'll bring them back for users like you.

Are you on the 9.8.29 firmware and have you made sure encryption is disabled?

I will try and fix magnetic flip cover in the next build, also inverting buttons is sadly not a feature on Pixel Experience.
Thanks, i will wait next build.
Good job :good:

Could you also try to fix cpu governor? It causes a really high battery drain.

General BEST CUSTOM ROMS FOR POCO X3 PRO

If you aren't an advanced user and just want a daily stable device, I recommend you to use Xiaomi.eu or Stock (you will need Zygisk to bypass Play Integrity/Safetynet)
I've been using this phone for more than a year and I've tried many roms, so here are the best ROMs in my
opinion.
0. Stock ROM: it's not custom and ships with bloatware, but it's the most stable one and least bugs has. If you want a locked bootloader and max security use this.
1. Xiaomi.eu: Best custom ROM with a lot of enhancements, the best option if you don't want root.
2. LineageOS: the second best custom rom for this device but it needs Magisk and setup a lot of things to work well, if you are an advanced user I recommend you this rom.
3. Arrow OS: AOSP ROM with a very smooth performance.
4. EliteROM Stable: MIUI ROM based in Xiaomi.eu, it has little visual bugs.
5. Crdroid: AOSP ROM based in Lineage, NFC don't work with Mifare Classic and has more visual bugs than Arrow, it has a great performance in games.
6. Evolution X: AOSP ROM, it has visual bugs and your device maybe gets hot, but it's very good in gaming.
Honorable mentions:
- LineageOS for microG
- Divest OS
- /e/
I've been using LineageOS for almost 2 years now, can you please ellaborate on the issues you're facing with it? I never experienced issues and i'm very curious to hear about your story.

It doesn't bypass Safetynet by default, userdebug ROM, bugs in launcher when clicking home button, NFC and Bluetooth don't work.
Also, if you are using LineageOS for 2 years, which firmware version are you using?

Safetynet pass by default is correct, that's intended, but can we worked around. I have not experienced the launcher bug. NFC and Bluetooth work for me!
I was on LOS 18.1 with firmware 12.0.3.0 i think, now im using 13.0.3.0 with LOS 19.1
Maybe those issues were there when it was still unofficial, but is has been official since 1.5 years or so

I will give a try with V13.0.3.0.SJUMIXM firmware
I have a few additions to my last comment:
I am on global firmware.
SystemUI seems to crash (sometimes) when replying on messages via notification
OTA sometimes results in a bootloop, though you only have to reflash gapps and sometimes magisk + enable data on play store again.
I used 13.0.5 or 13.0.9 firmware and experienced random reboots but not on 13.0.3
Seriously haven't found anything weird other than those things

I mean, random reboots on any firmware is pretty serious bug.

Yeah still testing it, also seems to happen when the motherboard is dying because of the solder, but so far 13.0.3 seems stable. Not completely sure if it was the firmware yet.
You said that "almost everything" works on Arrow. Can you elaborate? I'm seriously considering installing a custom ROM.

Yeah, with that firmware most of the bugs are gone.

In Arrow 13.1 most of the bugs are visual. I never had problems with apps or the system stability. Also great performance and battery live.
I'm in need of orientation, so if anyone could guide me please
I have an x3 pro and I've been looking for the nearest pure android rom to get rid of mui14
My only issue with miui is that in the developers options there isn't any quick mozaic/tile to shut off the phone's sensors (cameras and mic are the ones i want to shut off). Is there any way to shut them off? (only software methods). If not could anyone please recommend me the best rom in order to replace miui?

The MIUI rom is so good that I can't find in Google, so for sure it's another crap custom rom with a lot of bugs.
And rising os is another cancer.
I don't recommend any of them.
I don't recommend the stock rom so much due to the deadboot issue that is occuring in Poco X3 Pro due to high temps even at idle. Xiaomi.eu is not pretty bad but second space feature (Multi-User) is not simple. Arrow OS being AOSP is still a good pick for me.
So you must not have tested RemakSo you must not have tested Remak
For me after months of testing the best is CrDroid 9 + NGK Kernel + X3 Pro profiles for NGK kernel, it has battery and gaming profile made specaily for Poco X3 Pro.
Second is xiaomi.eu if you want MIUI but it has problems locking apps in background, system kills some of them, I heard it's a long time bug on MIUI and xiaomi.eu
Third is maybe Evolution X if you want good AOSP with some useful features.
Arrow and Lineage is probably good, never used them because they are too minimal for my taste.
