I have a Redmi 9A with MIUI 12.0.20, I decided to install Lineage OS on it. I unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and flash Lineage OS, everything is fine except that WiFi and Bluetooth don't work, I ask on Reddit and someone said I need to flash MIUI and then flash Lineage to fix the problem, so I flash MIUI 12.5 and then flash Lineage but my phone gets stuck on the Redmi logo. I try flashing a different ROM and clearing/erasing everything but nothing works. But whenever I flash MIUI 12.5 it boots up normally. I also tried flashing MIUI 12.0.20 but i get error code 7. And I tried flashing with adb but whenever I try to enable adb it gets stuck saying Starting adb. Any way I can fix this?
So, I'm not a professional man but .... I think you can't downgrade to older verison because of the rom, did u tried flashing with Sp Flash Tool?

Ok
Hi. As you can read from my early post, I already experienced some roms such as lineage, arrow os, nusantara and pixel os, On board of my redmi9A. In every of them, initially I was unable to use bt and WiFi due error issue or sw problems. The only thing that solved these technical issues was flashing miui 12.0.10 and only after, try lineage (that I suggest for daily use).
Ps
If I suggest more
After some weeks and a lot of attempts to bring my redmi to a better situation than original stock rom, I think the best choice is reflash stock miui at last release 12.5.7 enhanced and debloate it for a better experience. This because all custom os are a little bit bugged or not 100x100 working on, and not so useful to use than original Miui.

Flash MIUI 6 version instead of 7.
Then try CM again.
But flashing MIUI should be done via Fastboot, so be sure to get the right version.

Do you guys flash the miui 6 room using fFASTBOOT? Refer this link for the tutorial LINK
Fastboot rom is different from recovery rom because it has all the necessary files to return your device to complete stock rom as it includes recovery img, modem files etc. Try to flash the 6.6.10.0 or 6.6.5.0. Good luck
k

looping problem
i was burning my midnights oil for haplessely flashing Cm12.1.... nothing was happening...
later found out that i was not using miui dev ROM. then downloaded both 5.1 as well as 6.6...
still stuck at languages section... GAPPS was not the correct one. downloaded arm64 5.1 stock... voila.... running smooth since yesterday....
thanks @dh.harald & @omerjerk
now ready to try CM13
When you want a clean install, use the fastboot one. It seems to be a non-system partition problem, thus try flashing fastboot rom and see its outcome

Use MIUI 6.6.10.0 or 6.6.5.0 and then flash any desired ROM on top of it. Else you may face problems and bootloops.

Hi All,
I am new to this xda, firstly i am really very sorry for typing this much question. My problem is,
I am using mi4i(MIUI7). previously I tried to flash custom rom(CM13) to my device, for that i have installed TWRP and alse rooted my device using Mi4i-ToolKit.
Firstly I have taken backup of my current rom (i.e MIUI7), after that selcted CM13 zip and tried to flash that rom,but it is failed to install.
Out to my curiosity, I have searched in xda forms and i got a key that firstly my device has to be downgraded to miui6.6.10 or below version.
then I downgraded my device with 6.5...(miui6 ver) it was downgraded successfully. Then, I tried to flash CM13. But it again failed to
install.and again I restored my entire backup to MIUI7. Now, The problem is my device has been restarting for ever 5 mins since last night.
please provide any inputs to get my back my device to perfect condition.
First of all, flash MIUI 6.6.10 via fastboot and see if the device works. Then after that try to flash CM13 following the instructions provided by the author of the ROM.

Hi. Recently I've been trying to flash Xiaomi.eu. however, it didn't have success. My bootloader is unlocked, and I flashed the Chinese TWRP to flash it. However, upon flashing it I always had an error about my cache being corrupted or an odm error. However, I did manage to boot into xiaomi.eu before, but it randomly stopped working. Tried to flash stock as well, but everytime I do, it stops at the cache again and always gives me an error.
I'm fully defeated at this point and I haven't been able to boot into anything since. I've tried everything and that's why I'm here.
I hope anyone can help me.
Thank you.

I tried to flash stock ROM via MiFlash. Most likely the latest build. I will try with another USB cable now.
Screenshot with error
I've instead tried to unbrick it with XiaomiToolV2. However, I'm still getting the same error, just in a different way. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've had this multiple times without success.

I unlocked bootloader and erased everything , when I reboot to system it with locked with mi account , I ignored this and returned again to fastboot and flashed TWRP , rebooted to TWRP and flash Xiaomi eu ROM , it flashed without any error

I tried to flash with miflash and xiaomitoolv2 , it also finish with success but the problem!! Didn't fixed
I tried to flash with edl mode "without test points" with mi flash , but it shows me "you must turn off Find My Device first" !! How f***in can I turn it off with this dead phone !!
I went to a maintenance center and told him trying test points method , but he failed

Is you data partition f2fs or ext4? I had similar issue, stuck in bootloop with clean stock rom (after flashing with MiFlashTool) when data partition was ext4. So I changed the data partition through Chinese TWRP from ext4 to f2fs and flashed again with MiFlashTool (clean without lock bootloader) to solve the issue.
Yo I hope I can help u. Firstly wtf going to a maintenance center for a soft brick ??? Man that doesn't worth it. Also I think ur twrp is the main problem. I experienced same issues cuz most of the twrp here are somewhat buggy.
Try the latest from LR Team 3.4.2 here, it's THE ONLY ONE that should be always recommended for now

Hey. I installed a custom rom and now I want to go back to miui. I flashed with miflash without lock and now the phone shows the poco logo then turns off and on again. What do I do? Flashing a custom rom works but I don't want a custom rom. I'm scared to clean all and lock in case it gets hardbricked.
Do not block it. First of all you need to install in correct form with miflash from a PC the MIUI rom. You're bootloop can be for a bad installation install again and send photos of the process you're phone is not hard bricked but, don't block it.

I tried to flash from miflash multiple times but it doesn't work. However, when I flash the recovery rom from twrp it boots fine.
On CMD the phone is recognized as an adb devices?

Yes, but flashing using fastboot still doesn't work. I flashed xiaomi.eu for now since it's late.

What screenshots do you need? The flashing succeeds but the device gets stuck in the poco logo. When I tried to format data in twrp to see what's the issue I got: failed to mount /vendor and failed to mount /odm.

Go to configuration/ Start options/ Advanced start options and you need to select the option 7 like in this image
Then reinstall abd and all the drivers that you need.

Thank you. I'll try tomorrow since I don't have time to setup my phone again today. I'll probably stay unlocked but I want miui recovery to get ota updates.
After that you need to redownload the MIUI version extract from the .zip the folder and install the rom if that doesn't work tell me. I got an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, at the beginning I have the same problem. But installing in that way the drivers healp. Good look. Be in touch.

I've decided to keep xiaomi.eu since it feels smoother than stock miui. However, I'll keep what you said in mind for future flashes.
