Need Help,Mobile Restarting for every 5 minutes - Xiaomi Mi 4i

Hi All,
I am new to this xda, firstly i am really very sorry for typing this much question. My problem is,
I am using mi4i(MIUI7). previously I tried to flash custom rom(CM13) to my device, for that i have installed TWRP and alse rooted my device using Mi4i-ToolKit.
Firstly I have taken backup of my current rom (i.e MIUI7), after that selcted CM13 zip and tried to flash that rom,but it is failed to install.
Out to my curiosity, I have searched in xda forms and i got a key that firstly my device has to be downgraded to miui6.6.10 or below version.
then I downgraded my device with 6.5...(miui6 ver) it was downgraded successfully. Then, I tried to flash CM13. But it again failed to
install.and again I restored my entire backup to MIUI7. Now, The problem is my device has been restarting for ever 5 mins since last night.
please provide any inputs to get my back my device to perfect condition.

First of all, flash MIUI 6.6.10 via fastboot and see if the device works. Then after that try to flash CM13 following the instructions provided by the author of the ROM.

Mi4i bootloop after flashing a custom ROM

I have installed Twrp recovery on my Mi4i.
When I flash a new ROM and restart the device, it completes the Android is upgrading process.
But once the finishing boot screen appears, the phone automatically freezes and shuts down.
After restarting the phone I get the Language selector screen of initial setup process, but that also freezes in some seconds.
In short the custom ROM is flashed properly but i could not go with the setup process.
When I flash the official Miui ROM it does not give me any trouble and the phone works perfectly fine.
Make sure you are using MiUI 6 developer version 5.6.11 or stable version below 6.7.10...
I have the same issue, where I can find old version ? From the official site doesn't work to download.
Do you have same mirrors for download?
L.E. I found version 6.6.1.0 on other site.
Are you sure that it will work fine?
I am also facing the same issue.
Sent from my Mi 4i using XDA Free mobile app
I'm pretty sure, because now I have a custom rom Cyanogen.
I am also facing the same problem, can someone help me in detail. I am new to rooting.
i m also facing the same issue
flash MIUI developer edition V5.6.11 or V6.6.x before you flash any cm12 based custom rom
I'm not the only one :highfive:
btw same thing happened on yureka when flashing miui on it. Forgot to mount /persist.
But here on twrp there is no option for /persist and no cwm for mi4i afaik :/
Thanks for putting this here in troubleshooting threads.
Faced same issue.
Downloaded and flashed http://bigota.d.miui.com/V6.6.10.0....ICF_20150626.0000.4_5.0_global_52e9660609.tgz
then followed with instructions of Custom ROM. No hang and restarts now

HELP! Bootlooping

...... So. I screwed up.
I wanted to get the Cyanogenmod 12.1 Rom by omerjerk on my Mi 4i:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
So i did the basic rooting and flashed TWRP. I was running on MiUI 7 and the rom required MiUI 6.6.xx.
Now this is where i screwed up.... I UNROOTED my phone and downloaded the zip file from the official website. After that, I went to the updater and chose the 'choose update file' option and chose the zip file.... Then the phone booted into TWRP and started doing its job, only to give some errors. So then I turned off the phone and tried to restart it.
Aaaaaand now its in a bootloop. I know what I did was completely idiotic...... But if you would find it in your heart to guide an idiot like me, I would be grateful.
P.S.: Simple English so that I can process.

Download the fastboot flashfile from the MIUI site with the 6 version
Then use the fastboot method to install this file.
All is to be found on the MIUI forum site AND on the XDA site.
just search for fastboot in the MI4I section.

XT1039 bootloop after flashing CM13

Hi,
XT1039: bootloader unlocked, rooted, stock rom 4.4.4
TO: nightly
Flashed 4118 bootloader, as detailed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...tions-t2996087
It was successful.
Followed https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_peregrine
unlocked bootloader
installed cm-recovery from here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=peregrine
tried to flash cm, got a bootloader error,
followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59520890&postcount=233
Now using bootloader 411A
flashed cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip
from here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=peregrine
now the phone is stuck at the boot screen.
So I flashed twrp recovery, successful and reflashed cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip
I tried several different guides that included all sorts of cache deletion and format orders but the result is still the same
(I am not using an sdcard but only the internal storage.)
After rebooting, the phone is stuck on the Cyanogenmod boot icon (blinking cat face) since past half hour.
Please guide how to debug/recover.
fastboot and recovery are working
Thanks,
[edit:]
The cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip was transferred by mounting the internal storage on the PC and copying it manually. Just in case this matters

Thanks for the reply, but the goal is to get cyanogenmod on my phone. How does the stock rom help me with that??
Just for testing, I have installed the stock rom to see if it works and it does. I now have a Motorola Android 5.1 on my phone. But thats not what I wanted.
Anyone having any idea how to make cyanogenmod work?

Just to restoring a kernel on it...after restoring one, go to TWRP, make your wipes and flash again your CM

WOW Thank you very much, its working
Maybe you can also explain to my why installing the custom rom mattered, since I wiped everything before installing cm again, I would assume there is nothing of the stock rom left on the device.

Not really able to explain...sometimes sh*t happens...
But this procedure works almost every time.
Surely due to your bootloader error after your first flash with CM recovery...something was broken...
Most important, now, it's working...Enjoy
I install cm but google play is not working and sallular data also not working.. Plz any one help me please..

Help! NO OS installed/Need help flashing stock ROM to soft(?)-bricked S6 SM-G290F

So yesterday i done a pretty stupid thing of restarting my phone after I hid my SU binary using hide my root. This left what i think was a soft-brick as it was stuck on the samsung animation. I then stupidly enough got confused with my TWRP recovery menu and ended up wiping out my OS, leaving only the TWRP recovery on the phone. I then decided to download a 6.1.1 stock rom for my SM-G920F. When i tried flashing however, somehow ODIN froze and i made another stupid mistake of restarting my phone from download mode which resulted in the phone being froze on a screen saying " an error has occurred while updating the device software use the emergency recovery function s6 " cant provide an image as this is my first post, but please google the error message if you wish to see it
So i panicked thinking my phone was dead completely and surrendered, but today i managed to hook it up to TWRP and flashed the recovery. Now when i bootup i can access download mode and it boots straight to recovery. To make matters worse I began trying to download the original rom i recieved when i got the phone, however when i try flashing i get errors such as " SW rev, Check Fail: 'x' binary 'y' device "
(x and y vary for each stock rom i tried flashing.)
I have no way of finding out my firmware, bootloader info or anything. Is there ANY fix to this? I've made a huge mess of everything and I'm now desperate. Please, any advice would be a god-send. Thank you for withstanding this crappy post, I'm kind of a noob at xda.
EDIT 1- So I managed to install a custom ROM and kernal as i could transfer files while in TWRP for some reason but a new problem has showed up. So as of right now I have a custom rom installed which works, but when reboot my phone, TWRP is automatically opened after the initial samsung logo. I usually have to reflash my custom ROM (without wiping any data besides cache and dalvik) and the ROM installer will then reboot into the ROM, however this means when my phone turns off, my recovery is booted up instead of the ROM
I'm sensing some sort of Bootloader problem?

First off i dont own an S6 (im still rocking the S4), but i have had some problems over the years but always managed to fix them in the end.
So while in Download mode are you not able to Flash Stock ROM (downloaded from samfirmware) via ODIN (following the instructions on the site)?
In TWRP are you not able to flash a custom ROM (probably with OTG cable if you dont have the ROM stored on the internal memory).
Any issues i have had i have always been able to do at least one of the above methods. If you cant do either or, im not sure what else i would try.
Thanks

I was flashing miui 12 OTA through orange fox recovery. Now my phone is dead. It can boot into recovery, fastboot flawlessly. I have flashed many roms from orange fox and all of them flashed successfully but it is booting to recovery only. Plzz help
PS : I have read many threads but remove the battery /let the battery drain out method was not much explanatory so I couldn't understand it.. Plz anyone can suggest alternative method or same method in detail.

Try searching for this error...its a kind of general error so you would find an answer in some other device section
First of all download miui 11 recovery zip file for violet, after that boot into pitch black recovery, then wipe all partitions you see there and must format data then reboot to pitch black recovery again now place the zip file into your phone and flash and you will be good to go
