How are the "Flash SMS Messages (with options Cancel and Save)" removed or blocked ?
Read that these are managed via "SIM Toolkit" and I have 2 apps with this name on S22 Ultra (unlocked), 1 is disabled but even when I enable both, there appears to be no way to block permissions (the slider is greyed out)

Hello,
How are you all? I have been a lurker in the past but this is my first post. I see things on the LG expo but nothing on the Verizon LG Fathom (VS750) so I decided to post my questions here.
I recently won a new in box LG Fathom from a local raffle. It was locked to Verizon. I have AT&T and I decided to unlock it as it does have at least one of the AT&T 3G bands (along with quad band GSM and CDMA) I tried two well known online code unlockers and they failed to find the code. I then called Verizon to see if I could buy or obtain the unlock code and they said I had to be a current customer in good standing for 60 days. So having nothing to lose I gave it to a friend to put on their account to get it unlocked for me and with in 5 mins of being on the plan, Verizion gave them the code and it was unlocked.
Phone works well for calls, texts and with wifi. However here are two problems I am having with this phone.
1. I am not able to put in AT&T WAP settings. On the top of the connections screen it says the following "This connection is pre-configured. It cannot be modified.
Is there anyway around this? Can a new ROM be flashed to give me access to new settings? I see nothing on the LG Fathom (WinMo 6.5)
2. Phantom Voice message indicator. There is no voice message in the system. I have called and left new voice messages and then deleted them the indicator still is there, I have soft and hard reset the phone and left the battery out and the voice message indicator stays put. I have made sure the VM settings are for AT&T and still the VM indicator stays put. I have did a full erase and restore and it stay put.
Is there a solution to getting rid of a phantom voice message indicator? Is this a WinMo 6.5 issue? Is this a product of using a Verizon phone on GSM(the phone was unlocked by code from Verizon so it should mean it is good to go) Is this something I am going to have to live with and check my VM regularly?
I am only into this phone for $20 (the cost of tickets) and a pineapple( a gift to my friend for taking the time to get it unlocked) so as long as it gets and makes calls and texts I am happy
Any help or tips would be most helpful
Thanks much
Hi.
1. Don't worry about this. Verizon settings cannot be changed but you don't need to use that settings by default too. To configure the AT&T settings, you can choose 2 paths.
1.You can find a cab and the cab will configure everything for you. That cab should be like that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337481 look at the bottom of the page.
2. You can configure it by yourself manualy. To do this, You should fist tap to menu, than settings > Connections > Connections, then tap "Add a new modem connection". After configuring that "new modem connection", you should go to "Advanced" tab from the same place than tap "Select Network" button and choose your confured network settings.
2. If I understand correctly, you want to erase Voice Message line from the home screen right? To do that you should install this cab to your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497232 than disable the voice massage section from this installed application.
Hope I could help you a little
Hey guys. I Bought an unlocked S7 SM-G930V. Insertted my iiNet Simcard(nano).
Then i rooted it through Sticky thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039)
rooted it to G930VVRU4API3. Android Version 6.0.1
turned on mobile data, and inputted my APN details according to my phone network provider (iiNet) (https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/Troubleshooting_Mobile_Voice_for_Cannot_send_SMS_or_MMS)
Tried a few other APN combinations online such as using Optus's APN details(since iinet pretty much = Optus)
But i am still having MMS issues where i can't send/receive. But am able to use the net/make calls/SMS.
I re-enabled all the bloatware that i disabled by the disabler package pro.
My Question is (Please bear in mind that I have been sent an important image via MMS and i cant download it so i am avoiding anything that could clear that image from my text history)
1) Is it possible to insert my simcard into another phone and re-download the image that was sent to me already?
2) Any ideas? Would flashing to an incompatable ROM cause this?
=============EDIT/UPDATE
I inserted another sim card(nano), changed the APN settings to fit telstra's APN settings and now i can send/recieve MMS's(for that other number, and am unable to download the pic sent to me by my main simcard.
Call your carrier and ask them to text you the MMS settings, sounds like the ones you manually added are correct for Data but incorrect for MMS
As the title states, after this update, I've lost the VVM part of the phone app. The option to disable and enable still shows up in the Dual SIM menu for SIM 1 (where I have my SIM), but the place to read my messages is gone from the phone app. It will reappear after a reboot, but then will disappear again and not show back up until the phone is rebooted again even when a VM has been left for me.
I've tried clearing data from Phone and Phone Services, but the problem persists.
Anyone else had this?
I have followed u/NashRadical's tutorial on reddit (I can't post links) for getting RCS on any android device but am unable to do so.
The device is a Samsung Galaxy S7 Bought from Optus (with Optus boot screen) but now has Aldi mobile SIM. the SIM is active and can send MMS and SMS messages without error using google and samsung messeges.
Heres where it goes wrong:
When I activity launcher, select messages and then set RCS flags and it just switches me to the app (where I last left off) without opening any menu where you're supposed to enter the ACS URL and OTP patterns. And it's just the 'set RCS flags' option if I try and launch the app with any of the other options it opens where it is supposed to.
I have tried:
-Restarting the phone multiple times
-Clearing the data on carrier services and Messeges
-Doing the process without wifi
-Leaving and reentering the google messages beta
-extracting and sending the google messeges APK from a phone that has RCS connected
-using an older version of carrier services
-reinstalling Activity launcher
This irritates me as I have completed this process on a Galaxy s8 and a Galaxy s10+ (both bought from optus with optus SIMs) if anyone could suggest a solution I would be extremely grateful.
I have a peculiar issue with my Dual Sim Samsung A51 running Android 10. The phone status is official.
Usually about once per day (sometimes twice), the mobile data connection will switch off by itself, but its not going to off in the traditional / expected way which is the Mobile Data selector switch in Settings > Data Usage.
For some reason, the Data SIM selected in the Sim Card Manager will be lost (there are usually three options: Sim 1, Sim 2 and off): but peculiarly, none of them are selected (see screenshot 1).
Choosing SIM 2 will return the option to Off even though I get a pop-up alert saying SIM 2 will be used for data (screenshot 2) and then selecting SIM 2 for the second time, the setting will take and will activate the data connection (screenshot 3).
I have been using until very recently a Samsung A50, dual sim running Android 9 with the same setup, SIMs, carriers etc and never had an issue. Neither the Calls or SMS settings in the SIM Card Manager get affected.
What I am experiencing feels like a bug in the A51 / Android 10.
I googled around and the people complaining about losing data connections on their phones like I am were doing so back when they had Samsung Galaxy S4 - so quite a while ago.
Anyone have any ideas how to prevent this behavior? Or experienced anything similar?
