Hi guys I'm new on here, i do apologise if i have posted on the wrong area , i have a Chinese 10.1 inch android SPRD head unit with android 10 installed. I have fallen out with the guy i bought it off as there was a lot of miss advertisements on advert which did not match when i got the unit.
However thats another story and wont get into it, what i want to know and if anyone can help me i will really appreciate it as iv tried everything and getting no where. So here are my problems :-
1, Upgrading android 10 to android 11.. there seems to be no menu that has the upgrade option, so how can i upgrade to android 11 or twelve? And How do i upgrade mcu version?
2, im having problems with GPS when car is on i loose gps signal to like half of one bar.. when car/ignition is turned off GPS comes alive and get good signal and catches satellites.. what does this happen? Whats the solution?
3, i cant change the icons on home screen, cant change/add on tool bar, no bluetooth button to turn on and off on bar on top of screen.. but blue tooth is there works fine when connecting phone and bluetooth icon shows on top bar when connected..
4, the android version seems very limited on this unit, even in developer settings there dont seem to be many adjustments options to turn on or off.. i have a meter display shows cars rom gauge and speedometer its all im KM and there is no options anywhere to change this..
5, system does not shut down when car ignition goes off, i have to manually shut it down, even tho in settings its set to shut down when acc off! Any suggestions?
I have attached pictures of GPS ignition off and one of ignition on.. also all the build software info pictures too..

1. There's is no upgrade to Android 11 or 12.
These FYT 7862 units only go as high as Android 10. That may change in the future (maybe not) but any that you see say Android 11 or 12 it is fake (like mine, fake Android 11).
2. Are you using a GPS receiver that you got with the head unit or are you using your cars original GPS sensor? Where is it placed? Need more info to answer this
3. I don't know what home screen launcher is installed on your unit so cannot answer. Some launchers cannot change the icons, some can. A photo of the home launcher might help.

2, cars gps is connected as well as the external gps sensor. As it it dual system (can access cars original system as well as switch to android) cars gps on the car system works fine. The android gps is acting starnge, currently it is behind the dash right behind the head unit mounted on a metal plate top of antenna facing north…

Update :- problem solved i moved the gps antenna and stuck it behind the head lining restarted system and voila its working now. I had it behind the dash and on top of dash but looks like too much interference for it to work there.

Hi Guys,
really need some help with this unit WG9018S i bought from Eunavi (don't buy from them). Bought on 11.11 for xmas via aliexpress, so can't dispute the purchase now.
1) GPS accelerator does not work. iGO says looking for satellites and Sygic sees the satellites and can turn in the cars direction, but does not follow the car on the map.
GPS Status tool says GPS Sensor available, but acceleratometer has malfunction. In built GPS Status shows the speed, sats locked, etc.
2) TMPS can see the sensors ID, voltage but not tyre pressure. (have tried multiple versions of software)
3) reverse camera only works for a few moments before screen goes blank.
4) permanent static noise from speakers. Noise changes e.g. has clicks, when menu items are scrolled or changed. noise is there for radio, SD, etc.
actually purchased Sygic and was using trial version of iGo - so both are/were fully legit packages.
Other comments, when i first installed, it cold booted every time car started. Now it picks up where it was. can't find a setting to switch back to cold booting.
enabling developer options, no menu shows up.
have tried a number of factory resets from the menu, but not convinced it has been fully reset.
Should i try to boot into recovery mode and delete cache, etc.? how to boot into recovery mode.

wanted to give an update after >1000km.
1) GPS with Sygic, etc seems to randomly work for intermittent periods. I notice with the GPS Status tool, that 0/10-15 sats i.e. all grey when it doesn't work and a number green when it does work. Same in Sygic, all sats show as grey when not working and some as blue when working.
** google maps works in all instances on GPS only which also makes me wonder if android as something built in to limit 3rd party integration
2) Reverse camera flickers much more (when working) than WinCE HU. I note it works for between 30s - 3min in daylight i.e. no infrared and 10s - 30s at night when infrared is using.
I am wondering if there is an earthing problem in view of the reliability issues.
Have you tried other GPS apps ? There are 30 odd in the Playstore.
I didn't get any support from anyone so far, but in case someone else is having the same problems, here is what i can say so far.
3) Reverse Camera Failure
- changed MCU from MTCE_LM_v2.88_1 to MTCE_HA_v2.99 - seems to have solved this problem
Steps -
a) download from MTCD DMCU Yandex
b) save dmcu settings from factory settings screen (but also take screen shot copy of LM settings as dmcu.cfg does not seem to restore)
c) use about MCU Update
d) check factory settings and manually reset values - particularly CANBUS, BT Type, LCD Type, etc.
- need to manually remap display keys as well
* some settings appear to be correct but functionality doesn't work i.e. reverse camera settings. change the value apply and change it back *
1) GPS not locking
- changed system ROM from MTCE_LM_07-2018 to MTCE_HA_12-2018 - seems to have solved this problem
Steps -
a) download from MTCD SYSROM Yandex
b) backup existing apps/data
c) use about System Update (perform full format/erase)
d) reinstall / restore apps / data
2) TMPS was pairing problem i have solved by deflating type, but i still have problem every time the system starts,
it forgets that i have allowed the USB connection and i need to re-check the box.

I have installed Sygic Navigation in my Car Android Head Unit ( Android version 5.1.1). on starting Real View Navigation, it starts but unable to find real view from installed Car Front Camera, rather it shows navigation path on black screen. Can anyone help to find solution to this problem.

I want to use carwebguru for my car android stereo, but want a gps to display on a portion of the screen at all times. Not sure if widget's are even capable of opening the app inside a portion of the screen or not., one of the reason's i got a android car stereo was because i thought i could configure it how i want it to look and act instead of it managed by the manufacturer. I have looked everywhere, but can't find anything. I like sygic but if there is another gps app which can display the map inside a widget then i would do it. Anybody know what i am looking for?

Hey all, so I wanna pick y’all’s brain.
Specifics: 2013 Honda Accord Sport sedan 6spd manual with the 2.4L
Head unit: Dasaita Android 10.0 head unit
So first off this thing was very plug and play and got pretty good reviews but it does have its quirks and funny enough it’s none with my iPhone. The quirks are with my car.
1.Both trip odometers reset after every key cycle. Same with the fuel mileage.
2. I can no longer turn off the green fuel mileage backlight on the cluster. It’s always active with driving.
3. The upper factory Honda screen still works with fuel mileage, and back up camera but will not display the clock.
4. My phone call/hang up buttons on my steering wheel no longer work. Not a huge deal as I have Siri.
If anyone has any insight to these issues and can point me in the right direction, whether it be a different canbus, or a specific setting in the head unit itself. Thanks in advance.
On #4 you need to remap in the SWC app.
can't help with the rest but sounds like canbus issues. I'm amazed it's interfering with all those builtin functions and displays in your car. I'd contact the seller, doesn't sound right.

The SWC app? Sorry I’m a little new to android as I’ve been an iPhone/Apple guy since smart phones came to be. I agree that it’s a canbus issue. I bought the unit off Amazon and have tried the dasaita customer service but responses have been slow. It may be worth a call to Amazon anyway.

Amazon won't help unless you want to return it.
Did you get a canbus specific for your car? if it's interfering that much you may want to just disconnect the canbus and see what it does.
The SWC(Steering Wheel Control) App is a pre-installed app on most of these units that lets you remap your SWC to functions in the unit. Usually the icon looks like a Steering wheel. you go in hold a SWC button then pick an action on the screen.

Regarding the other issues, I would suggest completely disconnecting the head unit and see if you still have the other issues with your car. There's a few other suggestions I can offer to you if indeed you do not observe the issues you describe.
Please access factory settings (Settings.... Car... Factory settings... password: 126.... Select Canbus option at the top of the screen. Please take a picture of that screen and post picture or post the settings you see on that screen.
Going to ask moderator to move this thread to MTCD Android Head Units Q&A as your head unit is MTCD and there are others in that forum that might be able to offer additional assistance.
Do you have the can bus box assigned to the correct vehicle?
Go into your factory settings and make sure that the box is actually set for YOUR vehicle. There should be a couple of different software versions from different authors you can try. I have a Jeep and there are 3 different software versions for my jeep, and only one of them actually works properly.
The Canbus settings *should* have been configured correctly by Dasaita if the head unit they purchased was not a universal system but specific to their Honda. Although it is possible the settings could have been fiddled with after installation which may have introduced the anomalies they described. That's likely why @jlbooth suggested disconnecting the head unit to see if the anomalies stop and things work as normal.
It is probably not such a good idea to blindly try every possible Honda configuration or possibly them trying the Jeep configuration on their Honda.

Good morning! new member here so please excuse if i make any misteps...
I recently got RGB lights for my 2020 Regal. I got the app installed on my phone and everything is/was great.
Then i realized the app wasn't available on android auto. Which surprised me since the product was specifically made for a car so i guess i kinda assumed i would be able to control the lights from the dash.
Does anyone know of any LED RBG light apps that work with android auto, or are their any geniouses here that could upgrade an existing app to be compatible with AA?
