Question Roll back to stable from QPR2 Beta 2 (T2B2.221216.006) - Pixel 7 Pro - Google Pixel 7 Pro

Hi,
I want to roll back to stable.
There's a way to do it without unloock bootloader?
Thanks!!!

How did you get to QPR ?
If by enrolling to the beta program via the Google Page I would assume you can just unenroll and the system will flash back to latest stable. Please keep in mind that this will wipe the device data.
You can find info on how to do this within the FAQ on the page linked above

I may be wrong here but I believe the only way to roll back WITHOUT having to do a complete wipe is during a stable release which only takes place every three months! YMMV

I'm on android 10 and I don't have any problems with any apps. If you go back to pie, you will have all your data erased. Why don't you try a factory reset on 10 and see if you still have any problems with apps. You lose your data but at least you have upgraded.

I updated from 9 to 10 (factory resetting immediately upon update) and find no issues with the ROM yet...yes, the dark mode doesn't work on 9/10 apps but that's normal as the software is very new. It will take sometime before the apps get update to meet the native settings on Android. Once you factory reset, don't restore app data. It's best to start fresh when upgrading Android...
To answer your question is to flash the 9.5.11 update via TWRP. Get the update from OnePlus website support download. Again, this method will wipe every data you have.

How to clean install OOS 10 using stock recovery?

I recently installed Open Beta 5 and all the issues remains the same. The camera quality has rather deteriorated. Am I doing something wrong? I'm just factory resetting and installing it using Local Upgrade. I haven't seen the option to install using ROM zip from the recovery. How do I clean install the Stable OOS 10.0.1 from Open Beta 5?
Thanks.
Not sure if you can switch from beta channel to stable. You'll have to downgrade, and lose your data, so back up your stuff
OnePlus, has a downgrade tool.

OnePlus supplied the tool. I'm about to update to OB5, was having gaming issues with stable version. I usually stay on the beta's, they usually have better features you won't get in the stable version.

Android 11 Upgrade by mistake - can I downgrade to 10 without losing data?

Topic says it all. I REALLY didn't want to upgrade. I think it downloaded on its own and I had system update on reboot checked.
Can I reflash the factory image for Android 10 without losing all of my data or am I screwed and stuck with 11?
Yeah I just got forcefully upgraded to Android 11.
I turn my phone off every night and when I turned it on this morning it took a lot longer than normal and then I had Android 11. Very annoying
I'm not happy about it and didn't know that Google actively pushes OTA updates as background downloads. I had the update services that I know of disabled and it stealth updated anyway.
I had to flash factory reset and wipe all data to get back. Now I'll be paranoid every time I have to reboot.
The new screenshot system is weird. I used to screenshot from the menu by holding down the power key but you can't do that anymore.
Android 11 is better than 10.
The new way it handles notifications.
Media controls.
The Google Pay, and home shortcuts on the power button.
Android 11 is one of the reasons I bought the Pixel 4a

Just delete .nomedia folder in Files and you can take screenshot again.

Ugh. This isn't a debate thread. There are perfectly valid reasons to stay on A10. I will not engage in the debate though.

You could flash the A10 factory image through the Google flash tool if you don't mind also wiping data.

You can unlock your bootloader and flash-all the last a10 factory image.
I'm on superior os and it's android 11. Give it a try before you roll back.
This is in no way a deal breaker but man the Pixel 4a has issues with firmware updates.
I shutdown my phone every night and upon every boot up it checks for newer firmware but despite this, I didn't get a notification for the November security update. I had heard it was out but kept waiting and then I manually searched for firmware updates and it was there....
Get it together Google.

You can go under developer options and disable automatic system updates and it won't install updates.
If your phone is not the google store version with unlockable bootloader than you CAN NOT flash images and go back to previous versions. If you are able to unlock bootloader, than you can go back but you can't save your data. It will result in phone being stuck at animation screen if you do. You can however, use swift backup like I do, and backup your apps and data with rooted phone, and restore them later. Titanium Backup hasn't been updated in so long that I don't recommend that.

OxygenOs 13 update always fail. How can I update manually?

My phone is harassing me to make the update to Global (KB2005_11_F.13) but it always fail. I would really like to update because I'm hoping it will solve some problems like my Gboard not showing up anymore. I've been looking around but can't find the tool to update manually. How to do?

No, the update doesn't wipe anything.
It still doesn't work. I think I need to factory reset and then upgrade

Question Xiaomi 12 - Apps Crashing on Xiaomi.eu Stable Rom

Hello All!
I've posted this question on Xiaomi.eu forums already, but got no replies in days. I was hoping someone here might have some suggestions.
I installed the latest stable version of Xiaomi.eu on my Xiaomi 12 (MIUI 14.0.4.0 TLCCNXM Stable).
The ROM works great most of the time and I did not have issues up until 2 days ago.
I was chatting with someone on Viber and, out of nowhere, the screen froze. I could swipe up to go back to home and the phone worked, but Viber would freeze every time I open it and show a message about the app crashing. I force closed the app, but the issue persisted. I then opened Firefox to search for the issue, but Firefox closed after a few seconds too.
The only solution was to reboot the device.
The same problem happened again today, out of nowhere. It does not appear to be an issue with any single app, since this also happened with Discord and some other apps, and it feels completely random.
Did anyone have any similar issues? If not, does anyone from the dev team know what might be the problem?
I'm not using modified apps or any unusual apps, just your regular stuff like Viber, WhatsApp, Firefox and a few games.
The only reason I chose the stable version in the first place and not the weekly is because I hoped it was... well, stable, so I can avoid issues like this.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

When you moved from weekly to stable did you format /data ? aka clean install as you downgrade ?
Check the permissions of the affected apps.
Format data is mandatory for downgrade.

Hi! I didn't move from weekly to stable. I moves from official MIUI to Xiaomi.eu stable. And yes, i followed the instructions closely and formatted data.

This is a first installation, if you mean if it's the first time I install Xiaomi.eu
I checked permissions of the apps and they seem okay, is there any specific permission I need to watch out for?

"The only reason I installed the stable version over the weekly is because I hoped it was... well, stable, so I can avoid issues like this"
This sentence is confusing, edit your post, otherwise you will have the same answers, data format.
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/xiaomi-12-apps-crashing-on-xiaomi-eu-stable-rom.68213/
And for VIBER for example, almost all permissions must be granted, including autostart.

I updated the text to be more precise, I can see how that might be confusing, thanks.
I also enabled auto start for all applications I want to auto start, including Viber.
Same Stable build for 2 weeks i never encounter that issue.
I still do, all the time. Now with WhatsApp too.
I'm thinking of rolling back to global stable. It's missing a lot of features compared to Xiaomi.eu, but it at least worked.
Anyone know of a good way to rollback to global stable?

First try a weekly.
To return to the stock you will have to erase your data.

Thanks!

I installed 3 versions of Xiaomi.eu, all had crashes in applications and especially in receiving notifications.
I gave up and bought an iPhone 14.
From time to time, I will access the forum, until there is a ROM that solves the problem of this cell phone, so that I can sell it.
Xiaomi I never buy again after that.

Did you try to set the "Get device info" permission to something other than "Return blank messages".?
