hello everyone, I resort to the wisdom of this forum, I have to mention that the equipment consumes between 15% and 20% in 9 hours of rest, I have carried out the tests and found that it is the activation of volte through magisk modules what it triggers it, for my country it is not compatible so I use root to force it, but this consumption is excessive if I uninstall the module it consumes 5%, please help me to have volte without high consumption what can I do? Is there a specific volte module for the 7 pro? since other found modules go from 4 to 5 thanks for your help.
Which module did you use?

Hi I have used three and I am testing a fourth one at the moment, the zip names are as follows: chinese_sim_supporter-1.zip, Pixel-Bramble-Redfin-Carrier-Patch-v0.4A.zip.zip, Pixel5_NR_magisk.module3. 88.zip, I am currently testing the one from the thread of this subforum called volte.zip, thanks for answering.
Sorry, zip names don't tell me anything... I use "VoLTE-properties for Pixel 6 Pro" but I'm not sure it fits your needs

Ok look this test today, it's the same you use?,If not, could you share the zip with me please? How much does the equipment consume on battery at night?
Yeah that's the one I use. Not sure about consumption - my son is in the hospital so my nights are weird these days, but I think it's minimal, to be honest.

hello friend, testing the new module the same thing happens it consumed me 16% at night, today I will test with another operator otherwise it is not an option to have the volte activated in a forced way, it is a shame
Is 16% in a night too much? Depends on how you run it (connectivity on?) and apps...

I have a vivo x80 pro and even the pixel without the volte at night consumes 5 to 7% maximum.

Yes, but as I said it depends on what it's doing overnight. I'll check how it goes tonight, face down and bedtime mode enabled and will report tomorrow morning (GMT+2 here)

Yes, well, that's how I do it with and without the module and the consumption drops from what has been said to approximately 5%, even the sleep mode also arrived.
Ok so after 7 hours with the conditions I described, only lost 5%...
Am using the module for P6P. And i dont think it drain more battery. If anything, it's the LTE connection that drain battery most of the time on this phone.

Do a factory reset. My battery life is as good as Nougat, if not better.
I've found the standby battery life to be exceptional. However, screen-on time is reduced. The screen definitely uses more battery on this DP4 than the stock ROM.

This is exactly what I'm experiencing. Unfortunately, my SOT is 2 hours less than Android Nougat. Standby with screen off time is exceptional.

Yeah, I used the support feature under settings to submit that observation and my logs. I would be surprised if they weren't already aware. I wonder if it's a screen driver issue and reverting would fix it if it's some other software optimization that needs tweaking. I hope they bring it up to par with Nougat because aside from that, I really like Android O (Orange Whip).

Same observations here. The standby time is about on-par with N, but during screen on/use, the battery life is reduced. My observation is that the idle CPU load/utilization is higher when compared to N. With N, my idle CPU load is around 1 to 3%. With O, my idle CPU utliliztion averages 10-15%. I am seeing exactly the same thing on all 3 Pixel/XLs that I have.
Because O elevated secruity in various areas, none of my diagnostics tools work. I therefore cannot identify what specifically is consuming the CPU. I believe this is the key to figuring out the excessive drain when screen is on. With the little I can glean, it is part of the syste process (as the OP has identified). Let's hope the September patch (if there is one) will resolve the issue.
As a related interest, I have O running on a Nexus 5X and it has no such issue.
All the phones are using EX kernel.

I actually came on to express this exact issue for my device. I went from about 4 hours SOT to 2, the same as you. But idle it seems I can go for 3 days. What the heck happened? Something went wrong somewhere.

My theory is the screen or the CPU is using more battery on Oreo then it did on Nougat. My apps seem to be behaving normally. Hope it's fixed soon.
Mines been terrible since the Oreo update.
Think I'm going to go back to Nougat ?
Hello xda community
Just bought this phone few days ago(brand new) and I'm experiencing bad battery life(at least for me).
So, I installed those apps: Whatsapp, Snapchat, Instagram, Sofascore, Deezer, Uber and of course GSam Battery. These are apps that i've always used and never had problems with them in a term of battery life.
First major problem is idle. So, what the hell, first night went to sleep with 100%, woke up 7 hours later with 80%, so I went into settings and disabled wifi always on and the other night it was better but still bad, went to sleep with 100 and woke up with 87%...
Second problem is SOT, I've been using phone for messaging mostly, some browsing and taking pictures and that's it, only on WIFI and NO GAMING at all and right now I have freaking 3 hours SOT and only 26% of juice left which is awful for me. I used to have that SOT with Galaxy S6 and that phone is known to have very very VERY bad battery life..Forget to mention: loacation off, data off, bluetooth off
Do you have some advice? What can be so power-thirsty on my device?
I will post screenshots with all my instaled apps and all the battery stats
.
In other terms this phone is a beast even in 2017. Performance is even better that on my dad's S7, camera is really good, I kinda like EMUI but battery is really starting to be a porblem for me so please help me if you can. Thank you very much.

Update after 20 days of usage:
Most awsome thing is idle.. i turn on airplane mode when i go to sleep, wifi is on(but set to never stay active), and after 8 hours of sleepong, literally 0% of juice is used. Amazing. And through the day, when I have data turned on, i check my phone 2 hours later and maybe 1-2% is used :good:
SOT is always different, depends a lot(A LOT) on usage, from 2,5 (data on, bluetooth for headphones, camera, maybe location turned on sometimes etc) to 5 hours (wifi only, bluetooth location and data turned off). I think battery life is okay, what makes it great is that 20-30 minutes is enough to charge a lot of juice with quick charging

Sorry my post is confusing..
So, average 4 hours, but if I tend to use a phone heavily than not more than 2.5-3 hours. When I say heavily than I mean data on all the time, brightness above 60%, some bluetooth connection, lots of social media and browsing the internet.
When I'm at home, wifi on and data off, brightness 30% cca, I can get around 5 hours max.
Is that okay considering your sot?
The first sets of SoTs you posted are unusual. The last seems more on point, but a little low.
I average around 4-6 hours SoT which is average for the device except if you really crack down on all battery consuming apps and services.
4-5 hours for me consists of maybe 2 hours on mob.data and the rest on wifi, location on and a few minutes of gaming/maps/camera.(Brightness on auto, so pretty high most of the time)
If factory reset didn't help, you might want to try to manually update your system either via OTA or through some of the methods found in guides.
Generally I'd say something isn't quite right.
Though you might want to add your model number emui version

This one is a little older but i remember trying to simulate heavy use with this one, mob. data is on when wifi is off, it just doesn't show because of the skin.
I also have one with 6h and 17% left with mostly wifi so that's that
Edit:
Oh hang on, actually this one was the two days and barely used one.
Well you get the picture i guess

So here is my classic day. Awful battery life today..
At least in my opinion.
Unplugged at 10 AM, data on and wifi off, used basic apps like Whatsapp Instagram Chrome.. listening music with blietooth headphones for one hour apx. (Deezer-but offline!). Didn't really use my phone a lot today.
7 PM only 2 hours SOT with 35% juice left.. like I said, barely 2,5 hours of SOT I can get with data on..
I uploaded screenshots of my battery life, my EMUI version and all my apps installed.
Can someone figure out why my battery lofe is so awful..
Can't install betterbatterystats cause I don't wanna root my phone yet.
Thanks for advices.

Hello everyone, I was recently inrroduced to the world of rooting, modding and installing custom roms and kernels to the device so I may sound like a noob here and there . I have a issue with my one plus six running stable oos 9.0.2 where I think I habe have high battery drainage, there are people who claim that their op6 lasts a whole day at one charge but I being a heavy user have to charge it up to 3 times a day. I have currently rooted my op6 with magisk installed and the list of mods is attached below, also the bbs stats are attached too along with all the necessary information, I am currently on the Ex kerenel Manager and have the battery settings turned on along with advanced optimization. Also I am using the lawnchair launcher v2 with pixel 3 live wallpapers coupled with the mod provided for aod . Can anyone tell me what should i remove to make my battery life more optimal or if my battery is fine.
So 10.2% in one hour, while playing pubg. Seems normal.
Yes, thats fine but the idle drain is way too high.

Have you also tried to disable the second Sim?
The pixel live wallpaper will do a number on battery.
Two Sims, live wallpaper and aod. You problem is right in front of you.
The AOD will suck quite a bit of battery, for me during the day i get around 2/3% par hour of standby. My graph looked like yours at first.
But, try putting it in you pocket when you don't need to have it on a table, etc. With OOS 9.0.2 and Franco Kernel, i get 0.42% per hour of standby while phone is face down during the night and thus AOD disables.
I'm not even trying to maximize battery, have Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and other apps running, Wifi + LTE, location disabled, with a fresh install of latest OOS stable and Franco Kernel r13 without tweaking anything :good: And i also use the Pixel 3 wallpapers, wich by the way look amazing used with the AOD.
Screenshots for illustration.
The OnePlus is not designed for Always on Display, but even with that, it definitely shouldn't be empty in 6 hours. But with heavy gaming, I believe the phone life tested at about 5 hours. You should see what it looks like when you don't game.
I get about 8 to 10 hours Screen on Time with with browsing, facebook, and casual use. I have 1 Sim, no live wallpapers, no Magisk modules. I also disabled the Ambient Display on lifting phone. (I probably did a few other small optimizations, but can't remember)

Wow Dude , your phone ui looks quite minimal and clean, are you using any launcher or icon pack? Also i have my location turned on always so can it be a deal breaker? Now as I focus, i think location too is sucking the damn battery off. Also while using Franco kernel do you have any problems with the brightness, I can't seem to disable low brightness while using the manager. My idle standby is too damn high thought averaging 2-3% even with the aod off. I think I mighy now consider a clean format.

I'm just using OOS 9.0.2, OnePlus icon pack and stock launcher, everything stock !
Location services seem to use quite a bit of juice yes, saw very good results while disabling them.
Yeah I saw this brightness thing in the Franco app, but looks like it doesn't do anything, or it's a bug. I flashed blu.spark and the brightness is exactly the same ! I wouldn't pay attention
Idle standby on my end is 0.5%/h with Franco and Blu.Spark. So it's definitely ROM/setup related ! A clean flash should solve it !
Try Servicely from Franco to revoke WakeLock authorization for apps, I feel like it helps a ton with social apps too !

hey guys I have huge battery drain issues and I can't figure it out. I am using a second sim, but I need that second sim (is there a way to disanle it, so that i can get phone calls?)

what could else be the problem?

Considering you just said 14% in 6.5 hours of idle drain, it is a bit high though. Have you any mod installed or have Aod by chance, also how long does the net scheduler work? Also do check the summary for if the phone goes into the state of doze or deep sleep, id it does the problem might be with kernel wakelocks, i tried disabling the wakelocks as per the boeffla wakelock and ffs I can notice differences.

Do you get that on Wi-Fi or also on mobile data? I get about 0.8-1%/h on Wi-Fi and up to 2%/h on LTE+ without music playback on OOS 9.0.2. i can tell you it's mostly an app that hides itself in the stats
E.g. Pokémon Go's adventure sync used GPS and datan regularly resulting in an awful 4%/h drain.

Yes, but smart boost keeps apps in RAM as it should. If you turn it off then you may complain about apps being closed in the background. So it's a trade off based on what you want most.
I always throw the apps out.
Man i only turned this off in the morning and im already seeing an improvement, 3.5hr SOT at 60% battery.

Why would I disable something I know for a fact works really nice (good looks to 1+ devs who made the utility), based on something someone who says it improves their battery life (which I don't get because this phone has legit really good SoT+battery life)?
You probably have something else wrong
I'm getting reduced deep sleep percentage since the 9.0.5 update. My phone used to sleep 88-95% of my screen off time. Now it can be between 62-75% but my sot is still only 6.5-8% drain per hour of sot.
I dirty flashed and I'm sure it just needs a factory reset but I don't have it in me to set this phone up again when I'm upgrading to the OnePlus 7 pro in a week. Disabling the labs isn't doing much for the screen off time (deep sleep)

Looks like the cpu doesn't go into sleep mode or something. Phone heats up within a matter of minutes. Anyone able to check the cpu to see if any of the cores throttle down for long period of time?

Downloaded it this morning and battery drain is definitely higher whilst in use but I also turned on the new turbo mode. Standby has been pretty good though. No heat issues yet. I'll give it 72 hours to see how it behaves.

Temp seems to stabilized but yea, the draining is unreal. It's only been 3hr since i unplugged (100%) and it's already at 73%...and that's just casual browsing!

Battery drain was unbelievable so I rebooted after a full charge and everything is fine now. In-built battery stats show 2hrs 43mins sot and on 74%. Gsam shows 2hrs 39mins sot. Seems the initial installation isn't optimized. I'm still watching it though.
I have restarted the phone multiple times since the update, but battery drain is persisting. At this time of lockdown, Vivo should have been careful on how their update is going to affect 2 year old phones. My phone's battery backup was pretty good till yesterday, and without any useful changes in android 10 they have messed up the battery backup.
I hope they give a patch to fix this issue.
This is the last time I buy a niche device.
Any recommendations to update?

My battery behaviour is back to normal. I guess it takes a few cycles to settle down.
Bonjour,
Quelqu'un pourrait mettre à disposition la ROM Android 10 pour les Vivo Nex ? Merci.

Lucky you. Mine is varying heavily. One day it gave 6 hrs 44 mins SOT. The next day hardly 3 hr 45 mins.
But various Core Android apps are draining the charge. If I restrict the background usage of one core app, another is turning up in the list of battery usage. On the first day it was contact storage, now it is call log backup.
I am fighting temptation to factory reset. But I need my data too. Hope this really gets resolved like it did for you.
Also, are u facing stuttering issue when the charge falls below 5%?
I never faced this in oreo or pie. Looks like the cpu is getting throttled to save battery. But it feels weird being forced not to let battery fall below 5%.
Anyways, will keep u posted on my battery life. Thanks for replying
