In pixel 7 pro, Can we Switch mobile data automatically during call so that data is active during call.
This was available in oneplus
Hmm, I anyways lost connectivity with my OnePlus phones are well when in call...
What country are you in? Possibly carrier-related. With US Verizon this isn't an issue. When I was roaming in another country this issue popped up.
Interesting. I'm in Greece. There used to be a time that connection didn't go down but I never figured out the specifics of why.

Are you sure that you're not referring to VoLTE?
If 3G is shut off on your network and you don't have VoLTE then you call with 2G
2G doesn't permit data session with a call going on
Really not sure. All providers here support VoLTE but not sure how to check it. I think there used to be an OOS version that showed an indication for such calls but I then lost it.

All you need to do is to go to Network and Internet - SIMs - VoLTE (turn it on) & Preferred network type ( set it to LTE or 5G).

Hello,
With my previous handset i use to get active data connection while on call, but with One Plus One its not available.
I am using the same SIM card, and i have read somewhere that this feature is by default provided the Network operators however the handset should be compatible.
Is there are way we can activate this?

This should be enabled by default. At least it was for me. You have to be on 3G or LTE, it does not work on EDGE.

No issues so far. I get LTE even when I am on a call.
I use Airtel 4G (Bangalore, India).
I hope this hasn't been answered before but searching through these forums with the keyword "tether" and also searching google I have found no solutions
I am tethering my phone's data connection to my laptop, but every time I receive a phone call my connection gets interrupted. I am using my phone's data connection because the wifi here is garbage cause the family is constantly streaming videos.
So what I want is a way to stop receiving calls or even better is my data connection not to be interrupted while receiving calls. Either way is a solution for me.
As an avid gamer, even a few seconds of disconnect feels like a lifetime. Hope someone can help! :good:
Check your operator if it support VoLTE. If yes and your phone software was modified by operator than you just need to activate VoLTE in data settings and you will be able to transfer data during calls.

I'm sorry but what? Check my operator? I'm not quite sure what that means. I checked everywhere in settings and could not find something that resembled VoLTE. A more noob friendly walk through would help.
Edit: Looked around and found out that my phone doesn't have that option where some galaxy S8+ do have the option. How do I enable seeing it?

Still interrupts my connection, I still receive the call but it's just muted. If there was a way to forward all calls to voicemail maybe?
still having a really bad time over here guys help ?
ValueDD Did you enabled VoLte ? Without it data interruption during call is completely normal. If you are on 4G standard when incoming data call is detected then you phone need to switch to 2G to handle it and in this standard other data than vice call cannot be transmitted . Because of that couple years ago VoLte standard was developed which allows to handle calls in 4G technology. For VoLte working it need to be enabled on your phone which need to be supported by our carrier as a VoLte standard itself...If your phone is unsupported than you phone wouldn’t have voice over LTE switch present in the system.

I purchased a Global version 1+7P (GM1917) directly from OnePlus. Then I signed up for T-Mobile service.
I am having problems with calls coming in over Wi-Fi. However, in Settings under Wi-Fi & internet, there is no Wi-Fi calling entry, so I cannot find how to turn off Wi-Fi calling.
Is there another method for turning it off? A package I can disable? (I have root.)

I don't have the phone yet but look under mobile network or search in settings. On stock Android pie it's under the mobile network advanced settings

Under Settings -> Wi-Fi & internet -> SIM & network, there is Preferred network type, but that only set 2G/3G/4G. Nothing about Wi-Fi calling. I couldn't find anything called 'Mobile network'.

either install the new onepluslogkit app and *#800# into oneplus logkit/function switch/volte+vowifi switches on
This option will allow you to turn on/off as above. but in sim settings/ Sim1/Enhanced Communications
Or *#*#4636#*#* and turn off provisioning for volte/vowifi.

Tried the OnePlusLogKit, but the *#800# didn't bring up anything.
Tried *#*#4636#*#*, but when I toggled 'WiFi Calling Provisioned', it would "stick" - the Update button produced an error, and it reset on reboot.

That did it! I didn't realize there were more settings under SIM 1. The Wi-Fi Calling under it doesn't show up on searching in Settings. Thanks.
I hope one day wifi calling works with Verizon. The settings are greyed out

What kind of problems are you having with calls over wifi? I plan to use the 7pro on tmobile so I'm just curious

This may all be my misconstruing the problem. After turning off wifi call, I tried calling my wife (which was where I notice the problem), and we still couldn't hear each other. Yet when I call voicemail, I can hear it and I can change my announcement which shows that the phone does work both ways. Therefore, now I'm thinking that wifi calling was not the issue, and the fault is somewhere with t-mobile. The mystery continues.
The mystery deepens. Using Google Hangouts Dialer (which goes over wifi), calling my wife fails (nothing heard either way), but calling voicemail, again, works just fine. I just don't get it.

Thanks for this thread. I knew I saw that somewhere but forgot to check the SIM menu.
Why isn't it in settings search when even dev options are?
Why does TMO lie and way it is in the same spot as most phones, in their article specifically about the OP7p?
My issue in on a WiFi call, sometimes I can't hear them (but they can hear me), sometime from the call start other times mid-call, and turning off WiFi fixes it. I have 1000mb fiber and no other network issues. Too bad it doesn't work. Thanks for helping me disable it.
How to enable VoLTE on the korean U+? I've checked with my carrier and they confirmed that VoLTE service is active on my SIM. However I can't find any option to enable VoLTE in phone settings. I've only seen a VoLTE call quality option in phone settings - not sure if this means that it's already active. The status bag logo also shows just LTE when mobile data is enabled - no indication of VoLTE.
If you have mobile data showing LTE and it does not change to 3G (or something else) when you make or receive a call, then you are on VoLTE. That is my general understanding of it.

Ah ok. It seems you are not on VoLTE then. Sorry, I don't know how to activate it though.
i have the sprint version but am currently on tmobile network which (was switching me to 3g) during voice call or txt msg.
now that tmobile has been taking down 3g (and they are working on a tower in my area) i do not even see 3g symbol in notifications anymore. i can complete the call and there is no lte symbol or 3g symbol but call completes but can not use data still.
when i hang up i see lte and can use data (browse the web)
the funny thing is before i went to tmobile i had metro pcs in this area which uses tmobile network and i never had a volte problem so you know this is software and they just want us to buy more phones.
this exact phone worked on metropcs with volte no problem.
Has anyone else had a problem using the internet while on a phone call? I just switched from the s22 ultra which had no problem in this department.
Is there anyone else experiencing this problem Or is this normal for the pixel?
Do you try to active VoLTE ?
For that you need VoLTE activated. And it is not supported in every country. In order to enable it you need to root your device. I am still searching for fully tested and functional mod for P7P.
Pixel is weird compared to what I was used to from Oneplus. Having 2 Sims in where the physical Sim is for calls and Sms and the eSim for data. When on a call (on phys. Sim) I don't have a data connection on the eSim anymore. When I check "use data during calls" on the physical Sim, as soon as I'm in a call the data card changes from eSim to physical Sim and Internet is available. As soon as I hang up, data connection is transferred back to eSim.
Unfortunately the check box for " use data during calls" is not available for the eSim, also both are provisioned as VOLTE.... Never had such problem with OnePlus, there data stayed on 2nd Sim when I was on a call on first one....

It should still work with UMTS/HSPA if your network has this "3g" network type available, but relatively slow.
You need to upgrade from dial-up to talk on the phone and to have Internet access at the same time.
Big sarcasm here is anyone didn't notice, haha =)
