Hi I recently switched to S22 ultra and I don't have the WIFI Calling option on my phone. I have called the service provider and they confirmed it is working from their end. I also called samsung support and they are saying its an issue with the service provider. Has anyone faced this issue or has any resolution. ??
So, if you go to CONNECTIONS in settings, you do not have an option for Wi-Fi Calling? What provider do you use?
Also, are you using a U.S. version S22 Ultra, or a Global S22 Ultra?
I have a Global S22 Ultra, and WiFi calling is not available on global versions with some providers.

Hello, can an expert helping me. I have a sm-G998U1 s21 ultra I paid via Rakuten site.
My concern is that I am not able to get 5G signal, only LTE, knowing that my operator is FREE with 5G in France. My SIM card has no problem because when I install it on an other mobile phone I receive the 5G.
Questions to the expert:
- Is this s21 ultra model compatible with 5G European bands and if yes, how can I customize my phone to receive 5G?
- Taking into account that this model is an US phone, do you think it's possible that I change the firmware via ODIN by replacing the current version SM-G998U1 (US) by a SM-G998B (European) and will this solve my 5G problem?
Or this is impossible even with different firmware because it is due to the mobile hardware, the antenna is different on US models.

No way to get 5G working in France (with Free mobile).
I contacted Samsung Customer service. They told me the product was for American market, so don't expect it to work outside the USA.
The seller says it is compatible but in fact it is not.
I talked with the seller and they tried to explain me that it was 5G even if it is written LTE in the connection icon...
I also tried the tool ForceLTE to restrict to use only 5G (and no LTE) and I never get connected. I show them the screenshot and they realised there was a real problem.

I have ordered the S22 Ultra from the US and hoping to use it in India. Can anyone confirm if the USA Unlocked S22 Ultra will work on Indian SIM Carriers? I have also read that Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass stopped working under such situations in last year's S21 Ultra. If anybody has any insight on this topic and solutions for it, please post them on this thread.

Basically through a friend of mine, i was able to order the Tab S8 Ultra 256gb with Keyboard and S22 Ultra 256gb (unlocked) for $1900, whereas the same would cost $3000 in India.
The samsung s22 ultrabought from usa works on airtel Sim in India. But I am not sure about jio Sim.
BUT THE CALL RECORDING FEATURE DOESNT WORK ON USA MODELS.
The usa models have an extra bandwidth chip installed on the right side corner of phone. That helps the device to work and have better network in low network areas like basement etc.
I personally checked this on iPhone 12 same models with same network jio one usa version and other Indian version. The usa version model was able to receive and make calls buy Indian model couldn't make and receive calls.

Yes, you're right, that isn't a chip; it's an mmWave antenna that enables support for 5G frequencies well beyond the 6GHz range. Besides the US, few/no countries I know of have deployed or even planned on deploying these ultra-high frequency bands, so this antenna is practically useless outside the USA.
I have bought a Samsung Note 20 ultra-SMN986U1 from USA. I work and live in Kuwait and is currently using Ooredoo 5G network. But my phone doesn't show 5G network. Few months back I searched XDA forum and through service mode, change some bandwidth setting. The phone showed 5G only when connected to Wi-Fi but as soon as I switched off the Wi-Fi, the network will change to LTE+. After the latest update no more 5G connection.
Could you guide me how can I activate 5G on my phone that shall work properly.

Anyone able to get 5G on their phone? Not sure what the problem is. Have tried switching CSC but no success. Is the antenna locked to Korean carriers only?
I'am also having the same problem but here in the philippines. I would like to get more information as to why I can't recieve 5G connectivity even though I'm in a 5G accessible are and have a 5G capable sim.
