Does unlocking a phone stop online updates? Mine is 8.0.10.0.
I online updated it to 8.0.10.0 but haven't gotten once since.
Do I have to relock it, update, then unlock it again? geesh.

No, I even have twrp installed to install gapps and remove bloat without root, and still got the update from 11.0 to 12.0
I have a brand new Mix that came 8.0.10.0.
I saw the OTA but it would never download and install.
I had to do it manually.

If I can get gapps working on the stable rom, the bloatware I can remove mostly, I would prefer to be on the stable rom. I've got a few things that are not working for me on the eu rom that I thought was working for me on the stable rom.
I can't share contacts via hangouts when I use the share option in contacts. Hangouts does work on share for everything else.
Bluetooth trusted device unlock isn't working for me and I can't figure it out. It also may have something to do w/ my company's apps that create more restrictive security. I should probably uninstall my company's apps and see if that's true.

Thanks for the response. Makes sense, question for you/all: What is the best method to get rid of bloatware/Chinese apps from stable ROM?
The Google Play Store throttling issue was fixed by flashing this (8.0.12) over my existing 8.0.11, so that right there is worth the trouble of flashing!

You have turned off xunlei downloader?
Go to apps/downloads/settings turn off xunlei and maybe set downloads to unlimited.
Does anyone know how to get back to Stock from the eu rom? I'm using TWRP recovery and I don't have the stock recovery image. Can I just flash the Stable ROM via twrp? or miflash in fastboot? Thanks.

It can be installed on any device from any country.
True, BUT, Hydrogen is a China ROM so there is no google framework or anything google on it so you don't even have a working google play store on it since google is like banned in China if I recall correctly.
Google Play works here, but I regret installing this. Only language choice is Chinese or English. The buttons are mirrored and on the wrong side for europeeans.
Installs and runs nicely, heavily deblotaed with xposed and microg.
Feels snappier than 5.1.8
Lets see how battery performs
Android security patch may???

Probably but don't know for sure as I've never gone with a china only OS. It's because you have to add in the Google framework I believe. Out of the box Hydrogen I don't believe comes with Google Framework which allows you to install the play store and be able to launch it.
Open gapps installs and is functional.
Update on battery life: Same as on oos 5.1.8, no real benefit to run h2o over oxygen. So back to 5.1.8
Oneplus really weird, release new SW OTA yet the Android security patch is not using 1 or 5 June but the outdated 1 May patch.

if you're on HOS 5.1.10 then download the rollback rom from the android p dp2 post and install it via local upgrade, then you'll be on OOS 5.1.6, now you'll get an ota for 5.1.8 simply update the same. no root, no fastboot, no twrp needed.
When is this coming to OOS

I'm trying to make sense of their Roadmap, but we all know how those things work out... hmm
In 2018, we plan to release the system as an “installable ROM”
Well it's Sept., and I assumed based on the site; August 2018: /e/ OS beta (MVP) release with several web services (search, app store), maybe that's the ROM release...
Anyone have Telegram can check them out? I posted the Telegram channels on the original post.
If you read carefully, they will be selling devices built with the OS first, then after a trial period it will become public. It does not fully work just yet as a daily....

Well if it's made with the payload.bin there are several extractor apps for Windows & Linux.
In Linux I use extract_android_ota_payload;

Then you'll have your boot/system/vendor images and then you can fastboot flash them, which is nice in case of TWRP issues, or just wanting to fastboot flash...

adhell might,
swift installer needs to be updated :/
a rootless substratrum method might be made for Samsung again tho, considering Samsung Pie does still support themes.
nonetheless considering swift installer is just a total dark theme, I'll have you know that almost all of Googles apps either have a built in dark themed or are getting a dark theme sooner or later,
and WhatsApp (if you use it, I would be surprised if you don't) has a dark theme in the works.
You can always download unofficial apps/mods for other apps you want dark themes for, so even if swift installer doesn't get updated it isn't the end of the world

Not much you can do with that. As per the gpl they have to release the kernel source. If you had root and recovery you could use it to build a custom kernel but since we don't it will be of no use. But Android 11 shouldn't be too much longer.
Just received Android 11 OTA update today for my LM-G900EM (Europe).
No issues so far, and good news: they finally fixed the VPN bug when switching to WiFi!
Received G900EM20b-EEA-XX update yesterday and lost mobile data connectivity. I thought maybe location (GPS) needs to be enabled for data to work in Android 11 but that's not the case.
BTW other changes: color of status icons and toggable icons changed, "emergency alerts" app was installed
EDIT: just needed to manually re-add APN entry for internet

Just received Android 11 OTA update today for my LM-G900EM (Europe).
No issues so far, and good news: they finally fixed the VPN bug when switching to WiFi!

Reply to myself, Magisk succesfully flashed over 11, only one error while flashing, but root is OK.

I saw on several news sites that the Korean version had the final android 11 rolling out.
If anyone's got it would love it they shared a screen cast of what's different

Not much is different, emojis were changed in android 11 so that was quite noticeable and I used to use pixel launcher but now it doesn't work
So things I have noticed:
IoT integration in the Power menu to get the payment cards... doesnt work at all, not sure if its a geographic location lock or something (canada)
If I click open a notification from the lockscreen and unlock using fingerprint ... there is a janky finger print animation thing... which causes the fingerprint icon to keep displaying randomly on the screen :/
There seem to be 2 system emoji fonts installed... One LG and one is google cuz gboard shows the google version in messages app but otherwise the system shows the LG ones
Lockscreen for some reason only displays conversation notifications for me by default i have to swipe down which pulls down the notification tray to show all the "notification" section items
LG launcher STILL does not have auto sort by alphabetical order
Scrolling and general slugishness in the system that existed in android 10 is definitely gone
LG and their sad state of software ...
After update I feel like system is kinda unstable. I am constantly getting UI freezed. Except few changes in quick settings panel and chat bubbles, I do not see any changes and improvements.
I don't know if I'm imagining things but the fingerprint sensor seems to be a lot worse, the brightness has gone down and battery drains a lot faster, camera is a lot slower. I can't see anything that's been improved going to downgrade it back to the old version its unbearable.
Hi all, just received my Android 11 update on my Velvet LTE in Belgium.
Hello, is there a way to flash back from Android 11 to Android 10.
I have a LG Velvet 4G LM-G910EMW (Germany).
I would be very grateful for any links or tips.
Thank you very much.
Yeah, pretty sure you can downgrade to Android 10. You can use LGUP, just make sure you download android 10 KDZ from http://lg-roms.com/
