Bluetooth Keeps Stopping - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

So, it has been a long time (more than a year) since my last nandroid backup. Yesterday I updated my TWRP and tried making one. For some reason there are 2 users appearing when I try to do a back up (0 and 999) and its not letting me backup 999 as I cannot decrypt it. It is asking for a password. I goodled a bit and found out that is a guest account so I had it removed. Backup was successful after that. Today for some reason my bluetooth is no longer working. The weird thing is it is working fine when I added a new account using second space. I am getting an error about a java runtime and seems like I am missing some important files. Any help is appreciated.

process com.android.acore FC and how i fixed it

I woke up this morning to a locked up tablet, when i restarted i was getting FC every couple seconds & when i switched apps
This is how i fixed it, I do not advise other people do the same thing because deleting database files like this is probably a really bad idea, and I had a clockwork mod backup in case something went wrong. so, DO NOT DO THIS that said, here's how I fixed it.
The logs indicated it was dieing in the contacts app when it went to open the database
"create table android_metadata failed"
I found the crashed DB in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/
You can tell it's crashed if there is a .db-journal file, this means it wasn't closed properly, be VERY VERY VERY careful that you have the correct item (refresh the list a couple time and make sure the .db-journal file is still there, you could have gotten lucky and loaded the directory while it was writing the DB)
Now, rename or move the ENTIRE database folder (so we still have it, but the phone thinks it's gone)
cross your fingers and PRAY, there is a remote chance you just hosed your phone, but it SHOULD recreate the database automatically with default settings and 'fix' your crashes, but of course everything in that DB is now gone!
Not sure which databases this will work on, and which ones will just brick your phone, so be careful, i was lucky and it was just the contacts DB that was crashed, but since everything included the call logs in the contact DB apparently- I couldn't even get into the system settings to do a factory reset.
and as always, BACK IT UP BEFORE YOU F*CK IT UP! :-D
FYI: the sqlLite DBs in android are flaky as hell, i wrote an app that did background updates once a min and it would crash like this ALL the time (even in the emulator), I think it has something to do w/ wakelocks expiring before the SQL cache is written to the disk but i don't understand why that would happen in the emulator.

I thought that Titanium backup could be used to do that, delete the Contacts data?
Jim
Great to see there may be a solution. Something to try before restoring to the reliably not quite current backup.
There is some info under the FAQ thread in the development forum.

You won't see those files or folders with es file explorer. You must use Root Explorer to locate and delete them.

Thanks man that solved the problem for me now I am back to using my tablet.
I just used titanium backup and contacts > wipe data...This fixed issue for me...I don't really care about having any contacts on my tablet anyway. (I am not suggesting you try this, just posting what I did).

Thanks!!! That worked for me too. I was getting really frustrated.
Having a contact with no name to use for sync reference will cause this. When you restore your contacts, look for one with data but blank name.

Totally. For some reason I would get this fc when I would sync my contacts. It stopped a few months ago after I realized I had 2 mystery contacts with no names or data and deleted them. Haven't had a problem since.
I've recently started having FC's with media files on my stock rom and was just about to wipe and reload when I took one more look at this thread. While I didn't find a corrupted contacts database, I did poke around in other directories at the /data/data/ directory level and found a corrupted database in com.android.providers.media/databases. I renamed the database folder, waited a few minutes and rebooted. Everything's working fine now.
Someday I'll install one of the better roms, but thanks to this forum I'll stay stock a little bit longer.
+1 on using Titanium Backup to wipe the contacts data. Stopped the FCs for me.
These appear to start because of the wake issue. I gotta figure out how to fix that.
I also turned off the autosync.
Man now that sleep issue is really bugging me. 4.3.0 with .2 add on.
**WARNING**
You WILL lose your contacts by doing this and you will have to restore them. I am not responsible for any errors that may occur in the process. I am not a developer or a hacker, I'm just a guy who had a problem and fixed it with a VERY long google search. Cheers.
I had the same problem. Constant (every 5 seconds) force close with a "process com.android.acore" FC. Flashing Vanilla, switching Roms, rebooting, all that did not help as it does not erase personal data (which is where the problem lies). If you don't have it, I STRONGLY suggest you keep a copy of Titanium Backup on your G-tab. If you have this force close problem, you will not be able to DL via the market, so you will have to sideload via the link I provided below. (You MUST be rooted to use Titanium Backup).
Once Titanium Backup is installed...
go to the "Backup/Restore" tab -->
scroll down to "Contacts 2.2" -->
click on it, then select "wipe data" -->
then scroll down to "Contacts Sync Adaptor 2.2.1" and do the same.
Once you have done those it should have fixed your "process com.android.acore" FC problems. Now you will need to restore your contacts via whichever method you have them backed up.
I'm a noob, so it won't let me embed links. But here it is...

This did not work for me until I noticed a third Contacts related app in Titanium backup. Once I wiped data in "{Contacts/Calls} Contacts Storage 2.2" it the FC issue for me. I am using TnT lite4.4.0
ShiftyBob, CosmicVagabond, you guys saved me an ulcer! Clearing Contacts Storage 2.2 (well, all three) was just what it took to clear MY stupid FCs. Thanks, folks!
okay so I am worse than a noob, I am a drone. Did what I was told three or four months ago to get this thing to run with android and now cant remember what I did. I am running tntlite 4.25.
I am getting the same error but I do not have titanium backup. I assume (yeah stupid me) I could put it on the sd card if I knew where to get it. But other than that I have no idea what to do. And since I have to go into the hospital for a week starting on Tuesday I am very unhappy.
Could someone possibly give me some step by step ideas on how to overcome? I would be grateful

This was exactly the same problem I had. After loading Synergy RLS1 I tried to read in contacts from the previous backup using Titanium backup. All was fine until I rebooted and I got com.android.acore FCs continuously. It took some quick fingers, but I was able to wipe data from "Contact Storage 2.3.3" and it now has gone away. Now my contacts are downloading from gmail and all seems well.

Windows Store Issue

Okay, not sure where to start, but my Windows Store quit working. I was doing a search in the store when it crashed. Every time I go to load it, I get a spinning circle and it just does this for an indefinite length of time.
So far, I have ran wsreset multiple times, both as administrator, and as a regular user. It still continues to be stuck loading. I also ran system file checker to see if there was any file corruption but it found no issues. Is there something simple that I am missing here?
Thanks!
Hello !
I've got the same problem as yours, and I tried everything. Rebooting, use the MS tool to fix store problems, I even 'refreshed' the surface (RT 1st gen for me) but with the option to keep all the files and settings. No luck.
Then I created a new local dummy user account on the surface and the store was loading... But only for that user, not for me.
So I decided to backup everything in One Drive, and restore my surface from scratch... At the restore window, I chose to start without a previous backup and setup like a new device.
Now the store is loading properly. Sadly I have not found any other solution

I had this problem and fixed it by changing my Microsoft Account password.
It then forced the app to ask me for a password.
With the new password entered, the Store and Skydrive worked perfectly. (No need to refresh the device)

Thanks. I actually did refresh my Surface, but settings were a piece of cake to restore. And yes, the store works now. I will try this option in the future though.
I had the same problem and I found a fix for it on in the microsoft knowledge base. I can't remember the details but it involved clearing the cache through the command prompt I believe.
You should just call MS support, I'm sure their tech would know exactly what to do.

CM12 standard OTA update - Google Account restore fails (kinda...)

Hi. Advice / help please. Got a RAZR HD MAXX running "standard" CM12.1 build. Since installing, i've been using the built in "CyanogenMod Update" system to update the builds, doing a wipe before installing. The first few went fine, the "first boot" process offering to restore the data from my Google account, along with the apps I installed via the Play Store, as well as putting the apps into the correct place on my home screens. I then manually add back non Play Store apps and also app data not covered by the Google account (ie: apps that offer their own backup/restore facility).
The last couple of builds however have failed to restore correctly, offering me to restore data from a backup like "46 days ago" - WTF?!
Additionally the apps are restoring OK (well, the ones seemingly from 46 days ago, not including any I added recently), but my homescreen goes back to default without my apps being placed in their previous locations, as it had done before. In addition, all of this is a LOT slower than previously - the restore process takes 3-4 hours (this is over WiFi, not mobile data).
So, questions are:
(a) why is the backup being offered not a more recent one? Is there a way to see what Google has/force a backup before I start the upgrade? (I thought this was just automated?)
(b) why doesn't my homescreen get put back properly? (even back to whatever it was 46 days ago)
(c) why does it take take 3-4 hours for the restore to complete (apps and data back) when previously it was done in about 30 mins
Am I the only one seeing any of this? Is there a better way to do it? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance!

WhatsApp deletes chat history

Hi,
i open this discussion due to a problem that affect my phone since last september periodically. I have a Realme 8 pro, one day, in september, it said a thing like "there is a problem with your chat history, we can recover it from an existing backup", i had a backup so i started the recovery. And here started to have problems. Whatsapp Backups i have are more or less 2,35 Gb, there are seven years of chat so they are heavy. The teleohone has difficulty to recover everything. The first recover never goes fine. I have to unistall the app, install again and start a new recovery. But also this recovery fails sometimes. After september, this thing happened again after a month after the use of whatsapp web, so i stopped to use it and worked more or less fine, until today. I woke up and the phone said again "there is an error..." so i tried again with the recovery. After an hour stuck on 30% i closed the app so the backup wasn't complete. So i unistalled the app, reinstalled and used a backup of yesterday. That didn't work, the app said " there is a problem restoring this backup, do you want to try another one?" (something like that), i used another one, stuck again, re-open the app, half completed backup again. Then the error screen popped up again I re-did everything and after a day recovering stuff it SEEMS to work. I am tired. The thing i wanted to asl you all is, there is a way to manually recover chats without whatsapp process, in case there is the necessity again, or maybe if someone knows hot to resolve the problem. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Whatsapp - Local backup asking for password

I reset my phone yesterday for the first time in a few years.
Previously, I had been able to quickly restore my Whatsapp chats by making a local backup prior to the reset. This time, it is asking me to enter a password and needs an internet connection in order to validate the password.
I suspect that sometime in the past I turned on the password encrypted backup feature thinking that it only applied to the google drive backup.
I know that I will be able to guess the password eventually. Unfortunately, when first prompted for the password, I wasted a lot my attempts, not realising that I was only allowed a limited number of tries. My most recent incorrect entry informed me that one more incorrect attempt will result in the backup being deleted. I have the backup stored locally, so if it is deleted, I will still have another copy of it - but I don't know how the protection works so it may still be rendered useless.
I know I can guess the password with enough tries but I'm unlikely to guess correctly with only one more try.
Is there anything I can do?
Close to impossible, but you could google some ways to decrypt locally if you have a local backup, and you need access to all the files in Data, which i don't know if it requires root, and you can't download the one from Google.
I'm really annoyed with myself for being so careless but equally frutrated with Whatsapp for giving me so few attempts to get the password correct.
If I started Whatsapp without my backup and then set the password to something else, making a new Google drive backup, would this new password work with my old local backup? I guess not, but I'm clutching at straws.
Or could I install an old version of Whatsapp that could restore my local backup without validating it online?
Additionally, how do they determine how many incorrect password attempts I have had?
Is it a general count or is it counted per backup file?
For example, I supposedly have one attempt left. If I created a new backup with a password that I know and restored that - would getting that password correct reset the count for trying to resore my real backup?
Or if I run out of attempts for my latest real backup, can I still attempt to restore the backup created the day previously, since the folder contains a weeks worth?
Nothing is explained by Whatsapp and I can't find any info online.

You've said it yourself. That's why the only option would be to get the Encryption Key (which is ONLY possible with root) and try to unpack it locally, that way you don't have to fear changes to the backup and can try as often do you want locally.
Just saw that you can contact them, so try that maybe?
Otherwise it's impossible, that's what encryptions like this are for.
