Question Help installing custom ROM to P11 Pro (TB-J706F) - Lenovo P11

Happy holidays, everyone! Forgive me for my English in advance
I have the P11 Pro tablet (TB-J706F) and it's been amazing so far hardware-wise. However, I find the software rather lacking, so I was hoping to install a custom ROM, specifically I'm aiming for LineageOS GSI.
I've searched through this forum but I haven't found exact detailed steps on how to flash a custom ROM onto my tablet. I'm terrified of bricking this. I'm only in school on a scholarship, so I can't afford to replace this if I brick it. I've come across multiple threads of people losing their serial number because they didn't back up "persist.img", or that they needed to patch a custom vbmeta before flashing. This is all going over my head.
I'm hoping that someone could walk me through the entire process of installing a custom ROM on my tab. I've seen many posts here with people saying to learn elsewhere, but I only have until the end of winter break to do this. So I hope someone would feel generous enough to give me a sort of detailed walkthrough as to how to install a custom OS. I'm great at following instructions, I promise!
Thank you so much everyone, and an advance happy new year!
tl;dr Please walk me through installing LineageOS on my P11 Pro

Try that. It's my cooking class... which reminds me... I should update that...
be prepared to have to reflash your rom SEVERAL times. When i made my first rom manually (without EBO) it took me 12 flashes to get it to boot without messing up.

Looking for ROMS

Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum, so i hope i'm not breaking any rules by posting this.
I have a ZTE N61 phone, and I want to migrate it to Android. My first experience was by running a version of Haret with a ROM from another phone. As i expected, it went wrong.
First i would like to know if anynone has done this, and if no any help will be apreciated by pointing me in the right way
Thx

[Completed] Guidance for undertaking a new root

I have owned a ZTE Axon Pro for about 5 months now and no root has come out for it. I'm very upset with the software updates that ZTE is pushing for my device and would like to be able to flash a custom ROM but no root is out for the device as of now. I have a fair amount of experience with Linux and programming and would be interested in undertaking the root myself, but also don't want to brick my phone on the first try. I also have no idea where to even get started and was hoping for some pointers. It'd be great to bring value to my beautiful phone and others that have the same phone.

Clueless

I have a problem with my xiaoxin TB-8804F tablet. It's an international version so has Google Play services for the owner logged in but does not for any of the user profiles I create. Very frustrating.
So I'm thinking, flash a rom? But I'm clueless. Custom recovery, custom rom - these are just words to me. Anyone feel like educating me and helping me get a new and more useful operating system on this thing?
I would appreciate any advice. And sorry if I've posted in the wrong place.

How can i get started on android custom ROM and kernel development

Hello i have been a long time user of XDA and been installing custom ROMs and mods on all devices i owned and even few devices of my friends. I was amazed how developers make amazing ROMs and kernels for us which work even better than stock almost all the time. I am a college student with a fair bit of programming and linux knowledge but never got around to android development (except making apps which i have done). Can anyone suggest how can I start developing or from where do I start (the little bits) ? I currently own poco x2 and mi A1. Or if there's a good guide to it can anyone link it ? If the developers of Poco x2/k 30 can help guide me to the path of developing it would be amazing.
Thank you in advance ?.
I am no expert on this subject (am ok at searches and found this), may be these are good steps to start:
1. XDA resource - https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-how-to-build-custom-roms-kernel-t3814251
2. Pray , so that more devs will join with you on custom dev for this device.
Edit: BTW, am already praying since we have been able to unlock bootloader.
check here: its already started
collab with others who are already onboard
