Question P11 Pro Chinese Android Tablet - Mobile Network Detection Issue - Lenovo P11

Hi,
I am from New Delhi, India. Few days back I have got a new P11 Pro Android Tablet from China. It is 5G compatiable device with Dual SIM capability. When I started using it, the tablet accessed Mobile Network only for few minutes and disappeared. It has only 5G (recommended) option under Preferred Network Type menu. I have made all possible settings but network accessiblity is still remain a distant dream. Very rarely it is getting connected to mobile network, that time I can access only mobile data but to make a call I need to wait till the VoLTE indication to appear on the screen. But that will also vanised away in few minutes.
It would be a great help for me if anyone help me out to resolve this issue ?

[S6 Dual-sim] Mobile network suddenly restarts

Need help guys. Hopefully this is okay since I'm using the S6 regular Dual-sim Philippines model. I'm using 2 sims (Globe and Sun network) and I always use my Globe network for mobile internet since it's faster. Now, when I use the LTE capable network for mobile internet for a couple of minutes (possibly hours as well), both of my sim cards would suddenly shut down (their mobile icon turns hollow, mobile internet disconnects. Sorry I can't provide the screenshot since i forgot while making this post). After a while, both networks will have their signal back and I can resume browsing again. This usually becomes a problem when i play online games since the game constantly checks for a working internet connection and it cuts me off the server if i'd lose my internet for a few seconds. What i've tried is that I'd turn off the other sim card (Sun sim card) but since I also use this sim for communicating with people, I can't turn the sim off permanently. Can someone please enlighten me on what to do or what might be the problem? Is this supposed to happen to the dual-sim variant of the S6? Hope you can help me out guys.. Sorry for the long post though.
TLDR: Using dual-sim variant of S6 (Philippines). Using two sim card networks (one for internet, one for texting/calling). When using mobile internet (LTE mode) for a couple of minutes or hours, both sim networks would suddenly shut down and I would lose my internet connection. Turning the non-internet network/sim off somehow fixes the issue but I need both networks on since people would call me at the non-internet network sometimes. Is this expected from a dual-sim variant or is there anything i could do to fix this. Thanks guys!
Is VoLTE activated?

LG G5 Nougat 7.0 - roaming mobile data issue

Hello,
I'm having trouble using my phone in roaming. My home mobile provider is Vip net., in Croatia. I'm currently in England, and my phone is currently connected to Vodafone network, which a partner of Vip.
I'm unable to get mobile data connection unless I'm connected to Vodafone 4G network. When I do a manual scan of networks, I can see (most of the time) three instances of each network (4G/WCDMA/GSM). Whenever my phone decides to switch from 4G to WCDMA or GSM, I lose the mobile connection.
APN is of course set correctly since otherwise I wouldn't be able to connect to the network on 4G (I've even had my provider send me the APN configuration message to make sure that's correct - I also tried various modifications to settings of the same).
I've talked with my providers technical support and they haven't been able to provide me with a solution, so I'm wondering if anyone here might have a clue about what is happening?
I've tried doing some basic diagnostic with adb, but haven't been able to gather much from modem logs, which I've attached here, and I would be grateful if anyone would take a look.
Here is the log, please note that it starts with me turning on mobile data and ends with me turning it off:

The phone in question is LG G5, Android 7.0 Nougat, Stock rom. (I had the same issue on 6.0)
Thanks guys!

WiFi Calling - Setting Priority

My provider (O2 Germany) allows WiFi Calling (voice over WiFi) and I have activated it on my P20.
Is there an option to "Prefer WiFi connections when available?"
At home, the mobile networks only work near the windows. Within the flat, mobile calls often get lost so I am glad to finally have a phone that can use the WiFi network.
By default, the phone prefers the mobile network and only switches to WiFi when the mobile network is lost.
Can I set the phone to prefer WiFi and use that when available and only switch to the mobile network when WiFi is out of range?
I have read somewhere that Samsung phones provide such an option, but cannot find it on the Huawei P20 phone.
The only workaround I have found, is to switch on airplane mode and then manually switch on WiFi. That works and I can still make and receive calls that way.
I looked through Developers Options, but could not find any such setting.
Anyone?
I am searching also for that setting. My mobile network signal is to low to live and to high to die......
Would appreciate if that annoying P20 would give me the ability to decide how it should behave....
Thanks on any help!
The only way I found to force WiFi calling is to switch to airplane mode and then switch WiFi on again. Then the phone will remain constantly in WiFi calling mode. You just need to remember to switch off airplane mode when you leave the house.
I just got angry after my post an treated Google.
For the Moment i found a solution, hope that will persist...
If i go to the dual SIM Config Menu there is an option to activate LTE on both SIM Cards. It is, in my German Branded P20, the last option.
When i disable that option as mentioned on the Internet the phone takes 5s and switches automatically and, for the moment, permanent to WiFi Calling...
Crazy. Hope that solves the issue foe me permanent and maybe helps for you also?
I think there is no bigger disadvantage on deactivating the function when WiFi Calling is now working properly
I just received a new firmware update to EML-L29 8.1.0.165(C432) which adds VoLTE and VoWiFi features - I thought we already had those features, but maybe they have improved them. I have not seen any new settings and even with your suggested settings, I am not getting permanent VoWiFi.
Hi Peter,
after some days testing i have to report, that was happy to early...
Just not reliable, also with my "hack", which also caused me some other troubles in regions were i have the issue that the carrier has just build LTE transmitters and no other frequencies.
Also, WiFi Calling works not really reliable on Huawei P20. Annoying!
So we have to hope that Huawei will bring a fix for that....

Wifi Calling

Has anyone else been able to enable wifi calling?
My previous phone (Pixel 2) had it enabled so I believe that my carrier supports it, however, I cannot find the option at all on the Zenfone 6. I think it should be in Network and internet > Mobile Network > Advanced but I don't have the advanced option at all, is this because Asus have replaced the menu due to the Dual Sim capability? Or could it be that the carriers have to enable it per phone model? Asus support have not been able to help so far and neither have my carrier!
Hoping someone can help as I have terrible signal at home so wifi calling was the only way to be able to reliably make calls!

Carrier and Asus have to support it on a per model basis. So don't expect it to ever work.
Basically Asus have to implement your carrier's network settings and your carrier needs to test it on their network. That's usually how it goes from what I understand.

Submit a bug report to Google. It's an easy process. I had similar issue and have submitted bug reports. The more they get, the more likely it'll get fixed.
