Question Some feature missed here - Google Pixel 7 Pro

I come from OP6 with crdroid (rooted), now with pixel 7 pro and default ROM but still rooted.
I rooted like from XDA instructions (patch init_boot).
First question: root remain after every update or I still need to patch new init_boot?
If after update I open magisk with *install in new slot, this will be installed in boot or in init_boot?
Also, seconds in bar enabled with:
System UI Tuner - Apps on Google Play
Shortcut to the hidden System UI Tuner tool in Android 9 and newer.
play.google.com
Double tap lock display with:
Screen off - Widget & tile - Apps on Google Play
Save your power button!
play.google.com
Disable in lock screen and customize power menu:

ATM miss just 3 finger swipe screenshot and disable quickpanel in lock screen.
Any app, magisk module or lsposed module for this?
Thanks in advance

You will need to patch the init.boot file in Magisk, then install it from bootloader. If you use the OP6 method of 'install in new slot after OTA' you will soft brick your device. This must be done after every update. Install AOSP mods for a better systemui tuner

- OLD January Adreno 330 GPU Drivers (flashable zip to fix improvvise app crash caused by new Adreno drivers, - but shouldn't be really needed because now I have no crashes -)

- How to fix amoled yellow colors
Spoiler
As you can know, amoled displays will make their colors more yellow when they get old.
So here's the color settings that I found to calibrate colors.
Note that these are PERSONAL SETTINGS (I found that by myself and these could be different for any display age.. my display is 1 year and 9 months old..) and this could make your eyes more tired.
Thanks to Lord Boeffla because this is possible for his Kernel and for his Kernel manager app.
So here's:
Open Boeffla Config app>Go into Display+Led fragment>Swipe down to find Color control section>Set RED to 238, GREEN to 238 and BLUE to 255
Than see if you like it and enjoy!

17. When rom boots setup first settings and then OPEN BOEFFLA CONFIG APP AND ALLOW ROOT PERMISSIONS, then skip/confirm all warnings, exit by the application and REBOOT
18. When phone boots keep the screen ALWAYS TURNED ON and LOOK IT AT LEAST FOR 4 MINUTES.
In this time IT SHOULD APPEAR A SUPERSU TOAST THAT EXPLAINS THAT "BOEFFLA CONFIG HAS GOT ROOT PERMISSIONS".
Immediately AFTER you see this toast, OPEN BOEFFLA CONFIG, SKIP/CONFIRM ALL EVENTUAL WARNINGS AND REBOOT PHONE AGAIN
19. When you reboot (about after a minute from complete booting) you SHOULD SEE BOEFFLA CONFIG NOTIFICATION THAT NOTICE YOU THAT DEFAULT KERNEL PROFILE HAS BEEN APPLIED.
IF THIS NOTIFICATION DOESN'T APPEAR, YOU COULD GET PHONE REALLY LAGGY, so if notification doesn't appear, go again into Boeffla Config, see if there are problems (if yes you will get a popup that explain the error.. or you will se "Dummy-error" at the top of Boeffla Config) and reboot again.
20. Enjoy with DeoXPer Pure MM
OTA UPDATES
To check an update you just have to open the app OTA Updates and update checking will automatically start.
You can also check updates in DeoXPer Info>Check for updates .
It's also possible to set OTA notifications in OTA Updates app settings.
I suggest you to set it to 30min if you want real time notifications.
For get notifications you aldo have to go in OTA Updares>App settings>Update with connection>Select "Data or Wi-Fi".
For what I have seen this SHOULDN'T download updates automaticcaly also with mobile data, but it should show update notification also with mobile data.. than you will tap on "Download" when you want.
IMPORTANT: the first thing you have to fo when you open first time the app is going in App settings>Installation favourites>UNtick Wipe cache and Wipe dalvik because they are already integrated in rom zip.
After every clean flash you have to untick this items again.
If you dirty flash a DeoXPer Update you have NOT to untick them again.
If you want to WIPE DATA (clean flash), do it BEFORE installing the rom, you just need to go (BEFORE INSTALLING) in App Settinga>Installation favourites>tick Wipe Data.
Then download and install normally the OTA. Follow the in-app instrucitions and DO NOT FORGET TO READ CHANGELOG in OTA app, because if there all some precautions I will write also into OTA changelog.
The ROM zip will be downloaded in /sdcard/OTAUpdates.
The ZIP will NOT automatically deleted before update.
AFTER installation you can delete it ore move it where you want without any problem.
ADDONS
As you can see, in OTA Updates app can appear the ADDONS section.
In this section you will found links of some useful mods NOT included in the rom, so you can install them separately.
To download an addon, you just need to open the app OTA Updates>Addons and click Download button under selected addon.
PAY ATTENCTION: ADDONS WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY FLASHED BUT THEY WILL BE ONLY DOWNLOADED IN THE DIRECTORY /sdcard/OTAUpdates , so TO INSTALL THEM YOU MUST GO INTO RECOVERY, GO INTO DIRECTORY /sdcard/OTAUpdates and FLASH DOWNLOADED ADDON
Hope this is useful

There are 3 bugs and they are writed in Bugs section.
Fingerprint WORKS FINE but immediately after you boot the phone you can't use fingerprint to unlock the phone. You have to use backup password. Immediately before you write backup password, firgerprint will works fine until you reboot. You have this problem only immediately after boot. Then fingerprint works fine.
Another bug is you can't use fingerprint to pay with PayPal.
Last bug is PopupuiReceiver FC at boot.
This 3 bugs are all written in OP.
I think these aren't very big bugs, because (except paypal fingerprint) these bugs appears only at boot.
I hope you and other users have a good experience with the rom[emoji6]

It's XTouchWiz feature.. it's writed in "XTouchWiz preinstalled.." spoiler..
To turn on it on my rom you need to active XTouchWiz module and restore the XTouchWiz backup that I've shared in OP..
So if you want to add this feature in you rom manually, for the moment I can't help you.. anyway for v2 I want to add this feature manually, so IF I will success you will be the first to know the method I've used..
Beauty rom!

No. Normal rom. NOT S7 Port..
Maybe in future I will made a different version of the rom adding some S7 apps and almost theming systemui..
But no S7 port.. there is already the good Insanity ROM if you want an S7 Port..
If you want this stable rom with S7 apps (and NOT framework..) you have to wait some time.
Anyway you can find @poccy's thread here in xda if you want to add them now by yourself[emoji6]

I flashed your rom and it's incredibly fast and the best rom . But I'm facing a problem here. There is no SuperSU installed, when I open Xtouchwiz it says "Root permission not granted" and there is no Super SU in this rom. Although there is no extended power menu.. Please guide me for this. Thanks

You are the second person that have the problem.. I don't know why.. anyway download and flash SuperSU 2.72 SystemLess (NOT 2.74 and NOT systemmode) and flash it.
Then to activate extended power menu you have to use XTouchWiz.. but first you need root..
So download and flash SuperSU 2.72 SystemLess

[OFFICIAL][GUIDE] Starting with Substratum! - Andromeda, Samsung, Pie & OMS!

Let's get ready and theme devices with Substratum!
Hey there! I'm Abhijeet, Substratum's Public Relations and Community Connections Manager, writing this noob-friendly guide so that you can easily theme your device.
Here is the full official guide on using Substratum and some important recovery methods for various situations.
Theme Engine Support:
Stock Nougat (RRO): Requires root, exposures unsupported, not all themes compatible
Stock Oreo (OMS): Compatible with rooted and unrooted devices, in the case of the latter the Andromeda plugin is needed for Substratum to function correctly: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.andromeda
Stock Samsung Nougat (RRO): Sungstratum addon required for full compatibility: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=projekt.sungstratum
Custom Nougat (OMS): Requires a custom ROM with an interfacer installed

Please do note, this IS for beginners, so I'll try and respond to errors and problems only if and when you have read and followed the whole thread. I'll be going over the BASICS of getting started to theme.

Theming AOSP [ROOT]
Theming AOSP [ROOT]
Open the Substratum App
Select the theme you wish to apply
Select your Android version from the dropdown list
Select the overlays you want to apply
Tap the floating action button in the bottom right corner and select Build and Enable
NOTE: If you are on the March 2018 security patch (or newer) you will have to do the following:
Tap Build & Update (this will not enable overlays, just build them)
Reboot your device
Go to the Manager, select the overlays, and tap Enable Selected
After your overlays are enabled, your SystemUI will restart
Using Profiles
Using Profiles:
Backing up:
After applying the overlays of your choice, tap Profiles
Tap 'Backup current state’
Select the things you wish to back up
Restoring:
Tap Profiles
Tap on 'Restore’
Select the file that you had saved earlier
Theming Rootless AOSP with Andromeda
Theming Rootless AOSP with Andromeda [NON-ROOT]
First off, install Andromeda from Play Store
Connect your phone to your PC
Enable USB Debugging from Developer Options
Open Substratum and follow the Andromeda guide thread.
NOTE: You will have to connect Andromeda each time you reboot your device.
Theming Rootless Samsung Oreo
Theming Rootless Samsung Oreo [SUNGSTROMEDA] [NON-ROOT]
Install Andromeda from the Play Store
Open Substratum and select the theme that you want to install
Pick your Android version from the top, depending on the theme
Select all the correct/desired options for the overlay
Click the floating action button at the bottom right and select Install selected
This process is legacy so you will have to install each app overlay one by one using package installer.
You can still select multiple packages to build but you will be asked to install each one. I suggest 2-5 at a time for ease.
Once you have desired overlays installed with package installer, reboot and they will be enabled. “Note: Overlay manager only knows installed and uninstalled, in this mode all will be green”
NOTE: In order to remove the overlays, select the overlay from the Theme’s UI or Manager tab and then tap the floating action button and tap Uninstall selected. Then click ‘OK’ on all the prompts that come up on your screen.
Recovering from various situations:
Recovering from various situations:
Crashes occurring due to wrongly applied overlays:
Open Substratum
Go to Manager
Select the app overlay
Tap the floating action button and select Disable selected
NOTE: If you apply more than 1 overlay on the same target, your device/System UI may crash.
In another case, you will either have to update the theme or the app that you wish to theme.
System bootloop; How to regain control?
Unrooted users:
Open the folder where you have all the Andromeda files and open a command prompt there
Connect your device to your computer
Write adb devices and make sure your device shows up there (it’ll show a string of random characters), then device after that
NOTE: If your device doesn’t show up make sure you have your OEM’s drivers installed
Type adb shell cmd overlay list and this will show you all your installed overlays. The ones with [x] in front are enabled.
The problematic overlays will be SystemUI (com.android.systemui.<ThemeName>...) and Android System (android.<ThemeName>...) overlays. You can disable them with adb shell cmd overlay disable <package name of the overlay>
NOTE: If you are a Substratum service (aka Sysserv) mode unrooted user you will have to download ADB and your OEM’s drivers and do the same as Andromeda users from step 2.
Rooted users with access to a custom recovery:
Boot into your custom recovery
Flash the zip located at sdcard/substratum/SubstratumRescue.zip
This will disable all your overlays and prevent from bootloop
Different color for overlays in Manager
Different color for overlays in Manager:
Substratum is all about colors, just kidding.
Blue: It means that another theme has an Enabled + Installed overlay. For example, if you installed Twitter overlay from Sai’s Oreo Theme and you open up OrangeKittens, it will show up in Blue in OrangeKittens, but Green in Sai’s Oreo Theme.
Green: If your overlays appear Green that means that the overlays are successfully applied
Pink: You’ll have to reboot for the overlays to be activated.
Orange: The overlay is disabled. You can enable it by selecting it and clicking the floating action button then Enable selected.
Theming Android Pie [ROOT]
Theming Android Pie:
Use the latest version of Substratum.
Make sure the theme you're using supports Pie.
Select the overlays you wish to install
Select Build & Update from the FAB
Reboot your device
Open Substratum and go to Manager
Select the overlays you built earlier
Enable selected from the FAB
Requirements:
Rooted device running on Android Pie.
NOTE:
You'll not be able to apply themes on non-rooted Android Pie because Google blocked custom overlays since March Security patch.
DO NOT install Andromeda or you won't be able to proceed after the splash screen.
If you're using any magisk module(s), disable module(s) and reboot, build overlays, enable magisk module followed by another reboot and enable overlays.
Theming Samsung OneUI using Synergy theme engine
Theming Samsung OneUI using Synergy:
Download and install Synergy and Substratum Lite apps from Play Store
Open Synergy and tap on Add overlays » Select Substratum Lite
From Substratum Lite app select supported OneUI Theme and select overlays.
Click on the FAB and select Install
After it is imported to Synergy, tap on the FAB and it'll prompt you to download a Samsung theme. Tap ‘Download’ and switch to Synergy and build follow the procedure to install the overlays.
After the building of overlays is complete, reboot your phone.
Open Samsung themes select the theme that install from Synergy and apply.
Some of the themes require dark mode for theme to work properly. For that go back to Synergy > Menu > Dark mode settings and enable it.
Reboot your device again.
Enjoy the theme!
Some notes I've taken creating my theme update to ONEUI 2.0 Q
1. BUILD overlays in Substratum Lite, build theme in Synergy, reboot.......
"Make sure NOT to open Galaxy Themes until it opens itself or notification says to finish. If you don't the system framework will not work."
2. Apply blue synergy theme
"if not there clear store cache and reboot"
it should go right to 100 after it starts, if it freezes at 97 a long time then you didn't wait after reboot and need to uninstall the blue theme and rebuild in synergy.
3. If you get trial notification you'll need to apply the pink High Contrast Synergy theme "you'll see stock stuff DO NOT PANIC" reboot then set wall and enjoy theme!
Hope this helps

Substratum is one of the best theming systems for Android. It is highly customizable, flexible and provides further means of theming not found in most stock theme engines, i.e bootanimations and overlays for non-system apps. Kudos to the devs of this amazing framework!

Any updates?
I like the idea of a non-One UI ROM that comes with samsung's camera and gallery. They just work well. And it's good that basic google apps are included without any play services.
I would like to be able to uninstall these apps though. I don't trust disabling to prevent them from running in the background.

Themes / Apps / Mods [MIX Fold 2][MAGISK] Global ROM-ify module collection [Add translations, Google Assistant, Android Auto]

I decided to create a module sharing thread here.
If Magisk is enabled, all modules will continue to work after the OTA update. (use "Install to Inactive Slot" method)
If Magisk is disabled, the module also loses its effectiveness.
Add official translations from Global ROMSince MIUI China ROM doesn't have translations other than English or China-related languages, I created Magisk module to add more languages.
I extracted official translations from MIUI Global ROM.
If there's no official translations, it will be showed in English (like search bar and some options only for China ROM).
This module also enables Google Location History & Nearby Share.
[MAGISK] Add languages to MIUI CN - Enables Google Location History & Nearby Share
I want to use the original MIUI Chinese version as it is, so I created a Magisk module to add the languages! The translation is extracted from MIUI Global ROM for Xiaomi 11T Pro. This module also enables Google Location History & Nearby Share...

Global ROM Flag Patch
This Magisk module changes ROM flag to Global.
You can't change region, but some settings and VoLTE icons will become Global version.
Please note Global version has less features than China version, so you can't see some settings like enhanced keyboard.
This module doesn't contain translations and patch for Android Auto or location history.
You can install both translation patch and flag patch.
Please note this module can cause bootloops!

--- If you want to use flag patch with MIUI optimization turned off (optional) ---
Please note if you disabled MIUI optimization, you'll get duplicate Package Installer (MIUI and AOSP) and it will cause bootloop.
Please don't disable MIUI optimization before installing this module, and disable one of the Package Installer to prevent bootloop.
So for installing flag patch module, you need to do:
1. Install above translation patch and reboot
2. Enable MIUI optimization and reboot
3. Install lite module and reboot
4. Disable MIUI optimization
5. Two "Package Installer" app will be available so disable one of them (I recommend non-Xiaomi logo one)
6. Reboot
-------------
If bootloop happens, run this:
adb wait-for-device shell su -c "touch /data/adb/modules/xiaomi-miui-conv-lite/disable;reboot"
Enable Android Auto
Here's the guide for enabling Android Auto.
You have to uninstall Android Auto first, then install Magisk module, and set permissions in AOSP settings (use "MIUI Hidden Settings" or something)

what do we need to do to get OK GOOGLE working after we install the module? I installed the module, now can activate assistant and trained the voice assistant on the phone. it still does not respond to ok google if you say it though on my phone with the screen on or off.
I have battery restrictions on google and assistant turned off.
also, I think the links to the first two modules point to the same place above? I can't find the correct link for the first module
Thank you for creating the Google Assistant module. Prior to installing the module with Magisk I had installed Google Assistant, but I could only activate voice commands by tapping on its icon. Now that I have installed the module, when I say "Hey Google" or "OK Google" the green microphone icon appears at the top left of my status bar, so I know Google Assistant is 'listening', but when I give it voice commands it doesn't respond. If I tap on the icon and then speak it obeys voice commands, but I could do that before the module. I am rooted with Magisk and have only installed the universal saftey net module, your (full, not the lite CN - Global) module, and your Google Assistant module. I have given the Google app and the Google Assistant app all permissions and unrestricted battery, and have set Google Assistant as the Mix Fold 2's default digital assistant. Am I missing some steps to get Google Assistant to respond to my voice? (I have MIUI optiminzations turned off)

It looks like "magisk-module-miui-cn2global-lite" is needed to make it work as MIUI China has Xiaomi's assistant (I was checking assistant with lite module).
For the OK google in lock screen, it seems we need more work...
The assistant seems to hear the command but does not appear in the foreground.

You can enable both full and lite module.
As I wrote in OP, duplicated Package Manager causes bootloop when you use lite module and MIUI optimization off.
You can enter into safe mode by pressing volume down key to disable all modules, or
adb wait-for-device shell su -c "touch /data/adb/modules/xiaomi-miui-conv-lite/disable"
to disable lite module.
So for installing lite module, you need to do:
1. Enable MIUI optimization and reboot
2. Install lite module and reboot
3. Disable MIUI optimization
4. Two "Package Manager" app will be available so disable one of them (I recommend non-Xiaomi logo one)
5. Reboot
I can boot to fastboot, but can't use adb commands because Windows no longer sees my device. Can you explain how to enter safe mode to disable all modules?

I think you couldn't enter into safe mode, maybe you have to try changing the timing of pressing.
You can try booting into recovery and press safe mode option too.

Did you do it in unfolded state and right after you force-shutdown (not in mi logo screen)?
It's strange...
So I tried it in unfolded state and was able to get to the recover screen. However when I click "safe mode" the phone reboots to the mi logo and the bootloop continues. I must have done something wrong in replacing the full CN-Global module with the Lite version. Within Magisk manager I had "removed" the full version module, and it then had a rid line through it in the manager. I then installed and enabled the lite version at which time it prompted me to reboot. Perhpas next time I will reboot after revoving the full version and before I flash the light version.
End result is the same- I'm stuck in a bootloop.

been there, hope I never have to go back. at least you got to recovery with the folded screen. I don't know why your device isn't recognized in fastboot though. It would be horrible to have to wipe data but you might have to.
I let the battery drain completely (same effect as removing battery in older phones) and then plugged my phone in and immediately pressed power on plus volume up and was able to enter recovery mode. I had to wipe everything, but at least I'm still unlocked and rooted with magisk.

hmm, something went wrong since I set different ID for the modules...
I reuploaded lite module with different file name:

For the smart lock, you can enable it in "Trust agents" option and use "Activity Launcher" app to find and open smart lock options.

Thank you for renaming the 'lite' module. Having the full version and lite version use the same file name was confusing. When you have time would you be able to update the translation in the lite version to match that of the full version (MIUI 13.1), because several of the settings options that are needed on the Mix Fold 2 don't appear.

sucks to have to wipe data, but sometimes there is no choice. I still think it is insane that recovery only works in unfolded state. I can't believe i learned that an hour after paying $40 to get my phone to book with edl method cause I couldn't get into recovery but never tried it unfolded.
