[Q] Dual Sim Phones - only Data on 1 SIM?

I have 2 SIM cards, 1 with data flat, 1 with phone flat and want to use them in a dual SIM Smartphone.
Is it possible to deactivate data for only one SIM, because my phone flat SIM would cause a lot of costs if it establishes data connections.
My idea was to use 1 card for only data and the other for only telephoning.
Is this possible in new smartphone models? Have anybody some suggestions for Dual SIM models with LTE / 4G?

Mate 7 Gold Version Europe

This model is dual standy or dual active?
even though dual standby can answer a call on a card and another be on the internet?
Thanks
It is dual active. You can even use SIM 1 to call SIM 2 or vice-versa and it will ring. When I'm on call on one sim, I get calls on the other sim.
Yes, it's dual active - I can confirm....great feature btw
I ask because in gsmarena specifications appear dual standby
What a mess!

Huawei honor 6 (single sim model(micro)) H60-L04 sim slot issue

Hi Team
I was having a honor 6 phone (Indian variant)
My sim was nano sim and I used it with the help of micro sim adapter.
When I put my new micro sim, it don't work,
I again put the adapter one it works,
Got a hard time figuring out that the culprit maybe the bent pins inside
But while doing these trials, the sim with adapter got stuck and i had to pull it out. After which no reception
But surely some pins are damaged as its not taking any network now
My concern is now this
Q1. Can only the sim slot be replaced ? or have to change full motherboard?
Q2.Any compatible sim slot for this device?
(H60-L04 sim slot not available and people are not ready to service )
Q3.will the sim slot of honor 6 plus work?
Kindly reply as this is a bit urgent
Thanks for your time
Vighnesh
Note that this is not similar to the international variant which has 2 sim slots
i think you have to change all
i had the same, send to repair and they change all

Dual SIM Standby or Active?

So everything I've read indicates that the 7 Pro is Dual SIM Standby. However a rep at OnePlus assured me that it is Dual SIM Active and couldn't figure out why I couldn't send or receive MMS messages from either SIM no matter which one was set to active. He escalated my case to the higher tech support to try to resolve. Is he indeed wrong or is the 7 Pro really Dual SIM Active? And if he is wrong and the device is Dual SIM Standby, is there a firmware or kernel mod that will enable both SIMs active?

Does Tracfone's A51 SIM Reader Actually Support Dual SIM?

Has anyone tried getting dual SIM on Tracfone's A51 (SM-S515DL)? It's advertised as single SIM but comes with this elongated SIM tray, so the reader is at least long enough for dual SIM.
Wonder if the reader actually supports dual SIM and the phone is only software limited to single SIM, phone only displays 1 IMEI.
This phone has only a SIM slot on one side, and microSD card slot on the other side.
