- can't quick reply from the notification panel.
If there's a message i can respond to and click reply, the type message bar appears, but the keyboard does not.
No problem clicking the notification to open the app and respond.
- Using gestures, pulling up from the bottom to bring up the recents switcher, the keyboard goes haywire, nonstop opening and closing.
- I've lived in my current home for about 3 years and worked in my office for about 8 years, and not had issues on my previous devices. I keep missing calls, and get notification SMS from my provider that I've missed calls. I see at least 5 or 6 of these daily, and never had this problem before. Even if I call from my wife's phone that's right next to mine, it won't connect and soon after, i get an SMS notification that I missed the call. Is this a radio issue? Software issue?

Have you tried a factory reset?
Try wiping the data of your keyboard. Sounds like something may be up with it there
Has it always done that? Are you using GBoard beta or anything else? Could just be a certain update version as well.
As for the radio issues, no problem here where I live. I'd recommend trying a factory reset, or maybe even trying the Android Beta Program for a test drive.

2. must be a software problem with the keyboard. No problems here with stock or SwiftKey keyboard.
3. everything is the same as before. Signal and reception is comparable to my previous Xiaomi Phone

one more thing I have seen somebody posting here:
"I've found dialing *#*#4636#*#* and selecting all the network options has helped me. It was limited to only NR/LTE/TDWCDMA by default for some reason on the second beta. Haven't had an issue since doing that and updating sim manager."
Maybe try another setting like LTE only or similar.
Cleared data for keyboard as suggested by @Curiousn00b and the keyboard issue in recents screen are gone, however still can't respond in the notification panel.
Will try the beta with root as it seems only I have these issues

Yes, i have checked all the settings, yes, i have tried other application, yes i have tried to change my rom (tried the stock 2.3.4 , reseted it, didn't work, so i installed the CM 7.1 RC...).
It's kind of annoying, i have to wake up the phone now to check the new sms, it's killing the fun!
Anyone has had the same problem? Anyone knows what could have caused it? I didn't change anything at all, it started with no reason.

ok, one more try.
My provider kept the phone for one month trying to fix the problem, which they did by "updating the software"... bulls**t as it was already the latest version of anything available on my phone. The problem is still here, i can't get any notification for my SMS!!
The thing is, while they had my phone repaired, i used my old HTC Hero... And i got the same trouble! It seems the problem is my google account! BUT i tried with a new adress i created just to check it out... And i had the same problem...
To be honest, i'm fed up having to wake up the phone to check the sms!
I can't find a reason why my notifications are off now!
I tried a non-android phone (samsung player one) and i got all the notifications!

i had the same issue ever since I bought my Nexus S but the setting for vibrating when you receive a text message is in the Messaging app after you press the menu key and go into settings
Messaging App --> Menu Key --> Settings --> Notification Settings

Helped on JB4.1.2 by turning SMS notification off (yes, it was on by default, but no Notification) and then on again after exiting the sms app.
I had the same problem...
fullwiped, reflashed gapps, worked again.
If you're not willing to wipe, I remember that Go SMS was the only sms.apk able to notify me of incomming text at the time. You may give it a try

with android 4.1.2 this problem is solved
When I receive a phone call, the phone displays either 1 or 2 options.
Option 1: Regular notification where i can drag the phone icon to answer or decline, which is easy.
Option 2: It displays like the screenshot below. Nothing happens when I tap on the DISMISS or ANSWER. The only way to take a call is to slide the notification left or right to dismiss it, then pull down the notification center and click there. It is far too much work.
My LG G3 does not have that problem. Is it a bug? Does anyone have this problem. and how do I fix or avoid this?

UPDATE: I just tried reboot it, and it worked. Now I can touch DISMISS/ANSWER. Not sure if it will acting up again.
I never saw that. But I switched to a different launcher within an hour of getting the phone and may never have received a call during that time.

Yeah I get that one one too sometimes and not sure why. Usually I screw it up and ditch the caller on accident when I get this notification bar for an incoming call. I hate it!
How did you enable that incoming call banner?

I use the default phone app.
And I don't think this has anything to do with launcher as I just changed to NOVA but problem still persists.
UPDATE: I just tried reboot it, and it worked. Now I can touch DISMISS/ANSWER. Not sure if it will acting up again.

Recently I got my xperia xz dual sim and directly updated it to Nougat.. So dont know how it is on 6.x
I noticed something weird. Basically with whatsapp notification sounds so far. When i get a whatsapp message, sometimes the notificatiom tone works normally and sometimes it is cut.. I mean sometimes i hear just the first part of it.. Did anyone see this problem?

I don't use WhatsApp, but I noticed another weird notification glitch. And this may seem different to yours, unfortunately.
I have an app (my local ISP's) which, very rarely, pops a notification regarding an offer or a service update. And when that happens, the notification sound is different (something I did not set as it is not customisable) and, worse, it JUST DOES NOT STOP! It keeps buzzing and buzzing and buzzing. Dismissing the text from the drop-down does not shut it either, and I am forced to restart the device. This didn't happen with any other app, though (and most of those pop up notifications way more often).
Likewise, another annoying bug I noticed was that the phone/system update notifier became a constant presence in the drop-down even if THERE WAS NO UPDATE on offer from Sony.
Full resets did not help and, anyway, I decided to move on. Cashed in on an attractive offer and traded it for a Google Pixel earlier today.
I hope you find a solution to yours, a_k_gano.

On that note, I noticed notification and ringer sounds to "cut" abruptly when I tried listening to them while, for example, choosing a tone (be it notification, alarm or ringer). I am referring to the sounds menu under Settings. Come to think, this comes closest to what you have described and no, I didn't find a solution to that either.

this happens to me randomly... when i receive a notification, sometimes it cuts and sometimes it works normally... mainly happens with whatsapp or this is what i noticed so far. I reinstalled whatsapp, I did factory reset to the phone... but no progress so far.
I can say.. for two days after the 7.1.1 SW update, the problem stopped happening
Oh good! I did get an alert on my email that a new update is ready. But I don't have the phone, traded it up for a Pixel.

Sorry for the weird title, I didn't really know how to concisely describe this issue. I still don't fully understand what triggers it but basically I've noticed that if I lock my phone while on a text chat (in either Textra or Facebook Messenger but probably includes all text chats), then unlock it to reply, I can't click on the text input box or hit the navbar back button for 3-5 seconds. This can also happen while my phone is unlocked when I'm switching through apps so I wouldn't directly blame the action of being locked. I know the phone isn't frozen because I can still hit the back button at the top left corner of the screen fine.
It almost looks as if though it's navbar-related because the pill is white when I unlock the phone, then after a few seconds when it's responsive again the pill is grey. My previous phone was a Oneplus 3 and it never had any issues like this (although it had physical buttons for navigation, not a navbar) so I'm wondering if this is an issue or if this is by design for some reason. I've tested each of the navbar options (traditional navbar, pill, and gesture) and none of them resolve the issue so maybe it really isn't.
One other detail I noticed is that the cursor also doesn't blink for those 3-5 seconds, and then when it starts blinking again I can start typing so it could be something else.
I just find it annoying to have to wait a few seconds whenever I want to unlock my phone and reply to a text and this doesn't seem like regular behaviour, has anyone else heard of or experienced this and know of a fix?

It could be part of the same ghost touch bug. Did you tried to disable NFC and see if those input lags reduce?

I've had NFC disabled since I got the phone so that isn't it.
I don't think it's ghost touch-related since it doesn't happen sporadically, it just seems to be when I open a text chat app or something too quick which doesn't make sense. Perhaps I can record the issue and upload a video to more clearly show what happens.

That looks weird, did you tried to use the gesture navbar only or the one with all the buttons? I would try also another keyboard just to discard any GBoard related issue.
I've tried every other navbar type (including the one with just gestures and no bar) and the results are the same. I have also tried a different keyboard (Fleksy) and again, same issue. I had essentially the exact same setup as far as apps go on my Oneplus 3 and its fine, so I'm thinking it has to do with either a new version of android or the new OxygenOS but I have no idea.

Ive got the GW4 46mm BT classic paired with a Note20U both up to date , woke up this morning after watch been fine for a week and put my watch on but no notifications coming thru to the watch did quick restart on both no go.
Reset the watch and only some notifications come thru no email or texts tho whatsapp is ok , checked settings nothing has changed.
Uninstalled galaxy gear app and reset watch still the same missing certain notifications even tho they are ticked .
Watch is set to show even if phone is open.
Any ideas ?
You may need to turn on notifications for the specific apps in the wearable app. I had to do this as I was getting no notifications for any apps.

I've checked all the settings and all ticked . Emaids via the Samsung app now work but texts messages have now stopped showing on the watch even tho notification is ticked !!!

As I never had this problem with the old generation watch I got before (Gear S3 running Tizen), I think we have just to wait for the 1st product OS update.
Youth problems are common on first releases. I hope first OTA will fix this annoying problem.

Same here. Text messages and phone calls appear fine. WhatsApp is a hit and miss, sometimes pops up, sometimes just silently shows the notification dot.
In general, regardless of this bug, notification management on this watch is a mess, very poor user experience.
Some things I noticed:
1. If you're driving with Android Auto, it's impossible to respond or take action on a notification on your watch. Anything you click on (such as 'Delete' on an email notification or 'Mark as Read' on a text message) seemingly registers on the watch but the notification persists and no action is taken.
2. The notification indicator is useless if you have the watch set to wake up the screen when you get a notification. Basically it wakes up the screen to display the notification and from that point on it's considered 'read' so the indicator won't appear, even if you didn't actually look at it. They should've had an option to show the indicator while you have uncleared notifications.
3. Multiple notifications from the same app require you to click on a tiny number icon at the bottom of the notification. Inconvenient. (Think when you have multiple WhatsApp messages from different contacts).
4. Looking at a notification screen gives you no indication of whether or not you have other notifications, you have to try to swipe left to check.
5. To clear a notification while it's open -- you either have to click 'back' to the main notification screen and then swipe up or scroll all the way down to find the 'clear' button -- which sometimes isn't there and you have to click on 'More...' first. How about just allowing me to swipe to dismiss it after reading it?!
They'e put a lot of emphasis on health, but given very little thought about the basics.
I can only confirm and complain that I get 0 notifications from Whatsapp even though I've checked all the notifiation settings multiple times. Also even though I've got the wear os version of telegram installed, the telegram notifications I get are standard notifications that can't show e.g. pictures or voice messages.
It was working fine when I got it on tuesday. It even worked fine after the "day 1 OTA". And now I get nothing at all. Tried everything from granting more permissions to the Watch4 Plugin or disabling battery optimization and stuff. Restarted both devices a lot. It just stopped working. I am glad I am not the only one...

An update for you mine started getting notifications texts,Samsung emails etc . Gmail shows randomly but no vibrate or sound on Gmail other notification have this ,
I don't have a clue whats changed to fix this I already had OTA just woke up a few days ago and they were working phone was upstairs watch downstairs overnight ?!?

Update from me as well. I turned off both phone and watch and turned them back on together after a few minutes. I don't know why it works but it does.
Edit: Nvm it worked for like one notification and then it stopped working again...
Restarting both devices helped me.
I played around with a bit more. Restarting both devices helps...for a while. As soon as the watch reconnects to the phone (i.e. you move too far from your phone) it stops working. Very annoying still.

I'm has been fine since it started working last week had few disconnects while walking away from phone but coming back in to range and its reconnects fine and notifications a work .
It does repeat whatsapp messages that I previously read and gmail still not vibtrate of sound ,

I have the impression that all the notifications work fine now: Gmail, WhatsApp, Nuki, telegram, Smartthings, messages, Gtask.
Hope it will stay ok.
Mean reason for me is having phone on silence but I can see notifications on watch.
Btw the watch 4 classic is a real beast.
What version of plugin do you have?
