OTG not working - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have an OnePlus One with LineageOS 18.1 and I'm trying for the first time to connect a pendrive to it, throught an OTG adapter.
I insert the pendrive and nothing happens. I tried several devices but it can be detected by the phone.
Since not even the light of devices turns on and since the same pendrive with the same OTG adapter works in friends' phones (I tried Xiaomi, Oppo and Samsung), does it mean that the OTG feature of USB port is broken at the hardware level?

USB host capability: D2212?

So I was considering buying a USB OTG cable, but before that, I tried to confirm whether the Xperia E3 has USB host support.
However, all I can find is that D2203 has this feature, but nothing on other models, and mine is a D2212. Is USB host support only for D2203, or is it also available on other models?
I got D2212 and it does have the OTG capability.
So I got 32 GB Sandisk OTG Pendrive.
But, when I try to connect my Pendrive to mobile, it connects then disconnects again and again like a loop.
Maybe it's my Pendrive that's broken or just maybe it's the phone.
I don't have a 2212, but I have a 2203, and so far, everything I've plugged in my OTG cable has worked.
I have D2212 and I have hybrid dual pendrive of 8Gb it's work great on my phone no problem ever, even I can watch videos also, from that may be your dual pendrive have some problem bro, this phone fully supported by OTG drivers

Galaxy S7 OTG problem

I recently obtained a GS7, when I hooked up a working usb device, it does not recognize that anything is there. I installed a couple OTG detect and repair apps, and they reported everything should be fine. Phone is equipped with OTG firmware. The usb device works on several other phones, but this phone cannot detect it.
Any ideas?

[Solved] [first adapter does no OTG] OTG in 5.1.5 is not working. Am I the only one?

Yes, I checked settings->extra->OTG-Storage
and there is also a notification tile, which does the same.
BUT: OTG is not working tried this with several adapters, but not the original!
Works fine with me.
Been using it to transfer data over from the 5T.
I used f.e. an adapter usb c to micro usb and than an usb stick with micro usb (not working)
I used also an adapter usb c to micro usb, a micro usb org cable to usb 3.0 and than a usb 3.0 stick (same result)
On my old op3 it helped if you first put the USB drive in the adapter before you insert the adapter in the phone, if adapter (even the original one) was put in first it would not recognize a USB drive.. Hope it helps
Your idea didn't helped.
Normally the LEDs should blink, but nothing happens...
Just to be shure: is original otg adapter is not the only way, it should work with every otg-cable...(?)
Did you check OTG in settings/advanced? It's working great for me and I have an 1€ OTG adapter from China.
Works here great. It works if its enabled before or after inserting. I'm using it with the USB C Yubikey. Only annoyance is you have to turn it on every 15 minutes but I believe there is a Magisk module that can fix this.
I think, I solved it:
The first adapter: usb c to micro USB has no OTG support: It was the last sentence in the fine print:
" USB On-The-Go wird nicht unterstützt"
Hi guys, I got a usb 3.0 I used to use on my Samsung, now I got an adaptor for my op6, I have an issue, everything works great, but the videos are laggy, what could this be any ideas, adaptor fault, or the usb is too slow?

OTG hub doesn't work

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my OP7 pro, I have this OTG hub NOVOO USB C Hub (8-in-1) HDMI 4K,...
Originally bought for the Mate 20 pro, and was working fine except on this OP7 pro (and even without the IpadOS 13). When I connect it to the OP with and SD card it seems not connected at all, even if the OTG mode it's on.
Do you have any solution? What can I do? Other USB c key seems to works fine, anyway.
Thanks

There used to be an option in developer options.
Enable usb host or something on the OnePlus 5 may still be the same.

I found a solution to make the hdmi hub working, these are the steps, you need to follow them in order otherwise it'll not work:
Connect the hdmi cable to the hub and the tv.
Then connect the usb c of the hub to the power source and wait 10 seconds.
Then connect to the phone and wait.
The power source needs to be always connected otherwise the hub doesn't work.

OTG issue on Poco

Hi at all,
who of you, guy has use otg cable for connect drive or pendrive on our phone?
I plug a pendrive using different otg cable that I have, but nothing happen.
I use OTG tester app and it say that OTG is enable, but nothingi happen.
So I've to understand if my phone is defective or there is some option to enable it.
I activeted CIT menù to test OTG but it fail.
IMO the issue depends for alimentation, because if I connect a drone (I'm modellist) nothing happen, while if I do the same on other phone the drone ligh on.
Any idea?
Just connected an old USB I had laying around with the USB OTG adapter I still had from my OnePlus One.
Stick was in fat32 I believe and I have an Android 11 ROM (Latest Nitrogen OS) on the Phone.
Anyway, no problems whatsoever. Was recognized immediately and gave me the Options to Explore/Eject, without any prior settings or anything.

thanks for test
my Android version is stock 10, with 2.04 MIUI stable.
I don't know if it depend from a bug or hardware issue.
The phone has 3 mounth live and I would't like to return it to Amazon for the change.
I was unlucky with Xiomi this time. I bought the RedMi note 9 pro and I change it for camera problems (dust in the lens). Now with this OTG issue....:crying:
