Just got a Huawei mate xs 512g blue with box and everything but the one who had it before removed the og screen protector , i ordered a alien screen protector 3d gel something... But luck was not on my side , dropped it yesterday on the house stairs , some fine sand managed to kill a group of pixels in the bottom right corner and with this the digitizer i think is affected since i have ghost touch and 15% of the left side is non responsive to touch..... 740£ to fit a screen is not worth it since i paid 650£ for the phone itself.... I've been to some repair centre that only made me hear what i did not want to hear meaning all said a new oled .... Next week i should be in Vietnam for 30 days... I will try to find someone who can repair it there for less...or anyone has a link for a og oled panel ?
Thank you for reading !
The damage itself.... Not bothering me ....but folded the phone is unusable due to ghosting , unfolded no ghost touch just a part not working.... Not responding to touch

A few weeks ago i got a new back cover of the HTC 7 pro while mine was the paint going off. and i just leave the first one as it is, and used the new one for some weeks now and i must say its the same faulty hardware, the metal is good, but the paint is going so easy off. and i handle my unit with care, really care! now i have scrubed all the silver paint from the first one and it shines now like a new one. and the letters where fallen out to before i modified it. so if somebody has the same phone and problems, this is what you could make it to and for the future, HTC don't paint the back cover any more, please. with just a little sweat on it it goes easily off!
i uploaded some pictures, of one piece like it is before, one after. and then the two side by side...
The 'h' on mine has fallen off

thats the truth behinf the manufacturing of HTC. but they have an really really good customer service. i ordered twice the back cover and get it (twice) and a battery, but that was an mistake of HTC.
Not sure if this will work with everyone or not. I noticed only when I had this newer case I bought on my phone. I didnt have any feedback issues with other cases or while the case was off. After reading that someone had a full body guard on their phone and had feedback issues because the bottom mic was covered I took the case out and sure enough the thick silicone part had that mic sealed right up. I took a good eye measure and cut just a small square out of the bottom and bingo it works perfect now with no issues. Like I said, I am not sure if this is the case for everyone but I have tested it with both my white and black skyrockets on both GB and ICS and it fixed the issues. Hope this helps people out who were mad just like I was not to be able to use their nice new case. Please hit the thanks button if this helps you out.
Here are a couple pics to show where it was cut out compared to a case that worked fine and already had the hole for the bottom mic.....
Case that didnt have any issues at all....

Case that I had to cut.....
As you see in the picture the red color is coming off with no reason. Any idea what I can do to prevent or repair it?

Honestly, I've got this issue going on with my phone too. If you have a screen protector on, I'd say don't worry about it! Just look for a new back cover (which the speaker area is part of) on eBay for like $15-20 when you're ready to sell it, then take off the screen protector, replace the back cover, and then you'll have a Sensation XE ready to sell in virtually brand-new condition.
(PS: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Black-Rear-B...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3cc80805ad <- Just for reference, you're talking about $20 or so...so feel free to just use it as it is now!)
Or just paint it red again. Just take off the back battery cover and the red speaker cover/protector just pops out with a little push. With red spay paint, just give it 1 quick spray n it'll be like new. I did it with my desire s today, sanded it down n im gona spray it white n paint the speaker cover n buttons red

Hello guys!
After a drop at a party, the phone's glass was cracked, but the digitizer, the touchscreen, is also affected. For example, the phone in cause was set to request a PIN CODE at startup. Pressing anywhere on the screen just means inputting random numbers. I can press on 6, it goes with 12386 (random example). I can press anywhere, it can come #*123 (again, random). I think you guys get the idea.
I've changed a bad glass on a Galaxy Ace Plus before. Just bought it and then went to a mobile service and they replaced the glass.
I'm not sure what now. I read that Gionee GN700W has OGS (On Glass Screen?). Someone told me that this means the replacement must be done with the display also. The display on the phone in discussion is intact. No problems with the colors, no dead pixels, nothing like that.
I don't think I'm allowed to post a link to the site where I found the glass, but the name is "Digitizer Touch Screen Glass FOR Gionee GN700W"; Plus, the picture is this:

So can you tell me if buying this and going to a gsm service will suffice?
This would cost me somewhere around 35$ (service + the product). Taking the phone to the authorized service would cost me ~70$, so that's the problem now.

It sounds like your screen is water damaged so you should probably get a replacement device.

but it isnt showing red mark when i open sim tray
Water often times doesn't splash onto the indicator when it enters a device. Also keep the responses to one thread so this section isn't clogged.
